Default Low-carb help Please!

I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place.

For lunch (due to extenuating circumstances) I packed chicken nuggets (breaded ) and cucumbers instead of my normal healthy lunch.

I also have some protein shakes (i usually drink one for breakfast, so I have some with me) and a bag of almonds.

So which one is healthier? The super-low-carb shake and almonds which will leave me in a few hours? Or the breaded chicken nuggets (aka, real food) that will stay with me?

Bear in mind, I'm going out of town today, so I probably won't get to eat again till 8, and my dinner THEN might be a shake and almonds due to lack of time and other options.

Silly me for not planning ahead.

Also, I know this is in the wrong sub-forum, but I already posted there, and needed a quick answer. You guys seem to be a more active place, so I hoped I could get some quick advice. Sorry!

Im not really sure what you mean, "healthy" can be defined in so many different ways and I'm not sure what you mean by "Stay with me", whether that means that it'll say with you in the sense of weight gain or stay with you in the sense that it'll give you energy for longer. Are you trying to decide which option to go with for lunch?

I think it might depend on what you are going to be doing and what "low carb" means for you. If "low carb" means "no carb" then I wouldnt recommend that but if you have some kind of carb for breakfast and want to stay low carb then maybe the shake is the way to go. If you're going to have a shake for dinner regardless, then it might be good to have the nuggets, just to have some variety and get a few carbs in there somwhere?

Probably a little late, but I'll chime in anyway.

If it were me, I'd just take as much of the breading off of the nuggets as possible and not stress about it. Life is too short to stress over chicken nuggets. All you can do is make the best decision possible at the time and move on.
