HH4L: Too funny about the 'relaxing' hike, lol. Eee, I feel ya on the biscuits. There is something about carbs that I absolutely adore! And cream sauces! LOL. I hope you feel better soon! And those high-rise jeans are FABULOUS!
Icon: Thanks - It was growing back from shaved, the DF and I shaved off our long locks for children with cancer. Raised a decent amount, and our heads were fuzzy. I had ONE request, that they let me keep my bangs, and I did! LOL. On another interesting note, I read somewhere that women are not very directional more-so than men? I find that weird, but no matter which way I'm driving, I ALWAYS feel like I'm driving north, even if I know I'm not. It's sooo weird!
Munster: Thanks! And it is a ton of fun! I like to dance around, and shake it like it was made to shake (much to the dismay of my neighbours when my blinds are open haha).

Today was a fairly productive day. Went into work briefly while out running errands. We stayed out and active for most of the day. I've also decided to swap out my sandwich bread for pita bread. Sodium and carbs (sugar included) are much lower, and I have so much to work with if I cut them in half. This way I get the best of both worlds! I'm also slowly cutting things out. So for example, I removed mayonnaise, and next will be egg yolks, and so on. They are the smallest changes, but seem to make the biggest difference! I also bought the patch and am working towards quitting smoking. I die almost every workout, and I realized the other day that I either have to quit exercising or quit smoking. Gee, I wonder which one I should choose . Quitting exercise is just not an option, I LIKE it, and it doesn't kill me. I figure I can use exercise as a way to quit... When I get a craving, I can do some laps, or do some push-ups, anything to distract me from the craving that usually passes within minutes.

Thanks to everyone for the birthday wishes . Hope everyone had a great weekend, and goodnight!

Again, popping in, it's what I seem to do. I feel like a terrible 3FC-er! Well I know I am. I'm not even in here for your support at the moment, because I know I'm in this bad routine and the only one who can get me out of it is me...

I'm just reminding myself that you guys are here should I stop being so silly and decide to lose the rest of the weight. I need to stop being complacent about maintaining at 60-61 kg. I know I can do it without gaining, so I now need to snap out of my good week/bad weekend mentality... but I know I'm not ready to do it, ever with the excuses, this coming weekend is my birthday.

Anyway, I just feel like I have to stop by every so often to remind myself that this place is still here.

So, I cheated the weigh-in. I shouldn't have weighed by Oct 1st, as a part of reminding my self that weight doesn't matter, my lifestyle and how I feel matters...But heck, I hopped on it this morning and there was something to see - 3lbs down! Now, I know it's the PMS bloat gone, and probably just a tiny bit of fat loss, but this certainly motivated me to continue! :Big Grin:

Just turned the computer on to share this, will come latter to read everyone's posts ))

So after being around the 173/172 lbs mark all week I weighed myself yesterday for my official weigh in and it was 171 lbs!!! I couldn't believe it! At the very last minute my body decides to be awesome. So very very happy about that. Also, since I began my weight loss journey, I've lost 3 inches off my pudge and 2.6 inches off my boobage! =D!!

As soon as I hit 170 lbs I need to take another picture and compare it to the first one, but I'm dying to see 169 lbs I can't lie! Once I'm in the 160s, the 150s are just around the corner which equals HEALTHY BMI!
Another victory, I lost a lot of weight in 2009 for my trip to Italy and I'm now back at that size! I can also fit into the short shorts I wore while I was there!!

Had an awesome moment on Saturday, I was going to get a foot long Subway, walked into Subway, stood at the back of the queue and after a minute of thinking I walked out! Woohoo!! Although I DO have a free one on my card to use >_>.

Insanity week 1 is over and I'm still loving it. 8 weeks to go! I'm going out tonight for a work night out. Is it bad that I actually don't want to drink as much because I don't want it to affect my body for tomorrow? I can still go out and have a good time, I just don't want to get drunk and be hungover the next day. Oh how the times have changed!

Is anyone a gamer here? I've been addicted to Deus Ex: Human Revolution...I love that game!

Icon - You're definitely right about my Mum, she was once the fitness/health person and now I've taken that role in the family so she's feeling like she's got to step up. I don't mind the competition, I just mind her trying to push junk food onto me to make her feel better!! I'm sorry that you're ill =(. Hope you get better soon. I looked at your stats, we started around the same weight and are heading to the same goal weight!! Although you're much much closer than I am, haha. Well done you! And you're so super cute, I just want to give you a big hug =). Is that a wedding ring I see?

Mande - You're beautiful! You have such amazing eyes! Exercise really is the sh!t isn't it? I love it too, I feel so awful when I don't do it - I used to feel awful doing it!! Definitely get your variety in there, I know how you feel about competitive exercise. I did the JM 30DS and it was great, I just felt like it was just the same thing all the time. Which is why I'm loving Insanity since there's such a mix up of stuff. Congratulations on making the right choices and even bigger congrats to your decision to stop smoking! Little steps a day at a time =)

HH4L - Dayum girl, you look great! So beautiful =). Congrats on the loss!! 3 lbs is amazing! Keep it up! I also went through the "I'm so fat" stage - I think we all do! I was overweight...but not THAT overweight. I think it takes us looking back and putting things into perspective to realise what goal we want to see. Hope you feel better, drink water, honey + lemon tea and stay as hydrated as possible. If it's just a cold, then you can definitely exercise with it! If it's a fever and you have a temperature, then I'll let you off. But no excuses if you've just got a stuffed up nose ;p

munster - I didn't end up getting a bra in the end, I really just couldn't be bothered and the selection was so meh!! Hope you see some movement, but remember - you're HEALTHY now!

rainbow - Definitely keep checking in, this place is an amazing support system. And let me tell you, excuses do not fly with me! If you want it, do it. There's no other way around it. You can find the time, you can stay on plan it's just about wanting it badly enough. If you don't and you're just making excuses, then don't bother - because it's not going to work! You have to get your mind in this as much as anything. But if I can do it, if we all are doing it, you can do it too.

Good Morning Ladies!

Did Insanity this morning at 6am . Felt good though, Max Cardio Conditioning. Then went to the gym and trained my friend. I am hoping to see that scale move, and I have until Thursday to make sure that it does! LOL. I am on a mission, I REALLY want to be at goal by Christmas, and the weight is coming off so much more slowly now that I am praying I can make that happen! I workout so hard and stay on plan so I am just waiting for the inevitable small losses to make a final big one! Hope the start of the week treats us all well, and I have a nasty week alone for the most part because DH is crazy busy this week and will be working 12+ hours a day . So I need some good vibes to stay on track because I will be going nuts with the 2 LOs and no break lol .

Mande-HAHA I just can't imagine Shaun T shaking it and dancing around! He is so hardcore during Insanity that I can't reconcile that image lol! Great job for sticking to it . It sounds like you are creating a healthy way of eating for life right now with the changes you are making, great job! That is the best way to do it for it to stick. Very good on the not smoking, DH is a cancer survivor (bone and lung tumors) and has been in remission for 7 years now (he was diagnosed as a teenager). His disease is genetic and nothing to do with smoking, but I can tell you that lung cancer is no joke and no fun. So stay with kicking that habit!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Rainbow-I have to agree with Rie, if you want to do it...THEN JUST DO IT WOMAN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! You can't keep thinking about beginning again, you just have to decide to log cals, workout, and stay on top of it. You have gotten so far, if you want to go farther then you just have to do it!!!!!! YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

HH4L-YESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!! 3 lbs is freakin awesome!!!!!!!! Great job, the changes you are making and doing are working! It is so awesome when you get a good loss and it validates what you have been doing and how hard you have been working . Keep it up, and you will get to where you want to be in no time .

Rie-YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY so close to the 160s. WOOHOOOOOOO!!!! LOL. Week 1 down, that is the best feeling. You have made it through the hardest part, pushing play and hitting those workouts when you are so sore and tired is super hard, but now the next 3 weeks will be great. You will feel so kick a$$ then you get to "recover" (which is nice lol) and then you are into the REAL insanity after that. But you are ready so it is AWESOME!!!!!! Stick with it and those inches you are losing will just get more and more I promise! I can't wait for you to hit that healthy BMI, you will probably do the happy dance that I did lol!

Okay girls, DD is down for nap and I have some housework to do . LOL I HATE CLEANING LOL!!!!!! Hope you all have a great day and dig deeper, stay on plan, and rock it!!!!!!!!

Rainbow: Come and see us any time that you need it, and don't beat yourself up so much. You've come so far already. Now to just find the next goal that will motivate you.. Maybe it's not about weight loss, maybe a goal about willpower? Just some thoughts .

HH4L: - Way to go on the loss, and sticking to your plan of making it about you, and not numbers.. It's paying off!

Rie: for you, too! Great work on the loss, and the willpower decision!!! And thank you, that's a really nice thing for you to say. In all ego, they are my favourite asset lol. The DF picked up some of my favourite beer for my birthday, and I still have yet to have any. I LOVE my beer, but I'm saving, and then I'll try and stick to half a glass . Also, the DF and I love gaming. We're into RPG's (WoW (my favourite), Guild Wars, Diablo (her favourite), etc), although we haven't played in close to 4 months. We try to go light during the summer months, and because of the FREEZING winters, we spend a tone more time inside .

Munster: Oh, you have no idea! He even squeals about how "Don't Cha" is his favourite song? I'm being slowly convinced every day that I watch him that he and I may have more in common than I thought, and I guarantee it's not the washboard abs! LOL. You'll make it to your goal, you have the determination and willpower to do this!

A little honesty here, I love being on vacation not only because I'm not stressing about work, but also because I'm fitting a crap load of working out in, 3+ workouts a day, and started my strength training as well. I'm trying not to think about it, but definitely wondering where I'm going to fit the same amount of time in, and not be working out after 8pm. Early mornings for me!

It's not my weigh-in, but down a LB, which is a total of 11(ish) Lbs and 2" lost! I'm glad that I'm finally seeing some movement combined with gaining the muscle mass. Also, the DF lost 6" this month, woo!

Just a quick update, but that pretty much rocks it! Later, all!

Good evening, all. I'm so tired and still have a lot of work to do before I can hit the hay for the night. I just wanted to pop in and say my hello.

MandeLea - Congrats on your losses! That's fantastic! Keep it up!

Munster - I DESPISE cleaning. I am so NOT a house-wife by nature. Haha!! Sending you some good vibes to get you through this week!

Riestrella - Woohoo on pounds and inches gone FOREVER!! And no, it's not bad that you do not want to drink. That's part of making healthy choices. Your body will thank you for that.

HH4L
- Cheater, cheater! Hahaha!! Yay on finally seeing the scale move!!

Icon - Thanks! You favor a close friend of mine.

Okay, back to work I go...ugh....I'll be so glad when I get this lesson plan finish.

Mande, it was relaxing hike for those mountain climbers....it's was so weird being there in the hills, with no cell phone network coverage, no roads, no...nothing. So I just had to keep going, no matter how exhausted I was. I am never doing that again! It is awesome that you decided to quit smoking!!! Btw in the pic you posted it doesn't look at all that you are 280lbs. I am jealous! I hate my double chin! Congrats on the loss!

Rainbow, as others already said, you came such a long way! Enjoy for your birthday, and maybe afterwards you can set a goal, not to lose weight, but perhaps to kick another bad eating habit or to improve your fitness level or such. Maybe a change of focus will get you motivated!

Rie, the 160s are approaching! Actually, you're approaching to them with your commitment and hard work! Congrats on the NSV in Subway! And thanks! Well, I am just shocked about how distorted our self image is when we're teens. So...insecure. And I was a good, normal, non-problematic teen. It just frightened me for when I become a mom....

Munster, oh I WILL do both college, and social life and living healthy! I will find a way to do it all, I am not going to make excuses! Munster, every little effort adds up and hard work always pays off, so I am sure you'll hit your goal!

Sgregg you remind me a lot of one of my friends. Same eyes, same smile And your daughter is a cutie, I think she'll resemble your appearance when she grows up! And thanks!

I am reporting from bed. Unfortunately, I am sick. But I'm doing my best to get well as soon as possible, I'm drowning myself in hot tea, hot soup, lemonade.... That being said, I ate bit more than I should have yesterday. Meh. It's what I always do when I am sick, since I was little. I seem to hold a belief that the better I feed myself the faster I'll beat the germs. This came from me being picky about food when I was little, and my parents always telling me I need to eat a bigger variety of food, so when I was sick I would eat everything just to get better quickly, I hated being sick. Plus the boredom is a factor too. This isn't me making excuses! This is recognising a bad habit and fighting against it! So today I will do better!

And I just want to tell you guys how much I love this forum and all of you! This is really an amazing support community and it really helps me stay on track!

Heyo my beautifuls!

Been continually weighing in at 171 lbs which is great, it means it wasn't just a one off weigh in! Hoping for that 170 lbs soon and then the gorgeous 169 lbs!! Happy times. I did Pure Cardio today, there are no breaks in the main workout so it sucks, haha. Yes Shaun T, that sh!t IS bananas!

One of my work friends told me she thought I was looking great these days which was a great compliment. I seem to be getting compliments all over the place! Funny thing happened yesterday, my Mum did Insanity with me! Granted, she didn't put that much effort in (decided to step instead of jump *sigh*) but it was the effort that counted.

I didn't end up going out last night, I'm a weird person in that I love people, I love socialising - but when I've done it constantly for days I just want a day where I'm on my own! So yesterday was that day, but I'm heading for a meal and a film with friends tonight so it'll be nice =). Going to watch Drive, oh my goose I'm slightly obsessed with Ryan Gosling right now. I loved him in Lars and The Real Girl and developed a crush on him from that - but now he's in so many films and he's RIPPED - where did that come from?! Drive is going to be awesome, because hot guy driving = sexyawesometimes. Have a bit of at thing for men driving >_>.

Anywhoo, enough of my dribbling, hope you're all good!

munster - I'm sure the weight is coming off slowly now because you are so close! House work does suck, but it's almost like a little workout in itself ;p Just do lunges while you vacuum, haha!
Thanks for the support! I don't wake up so stiff any more, how did that happen?! I thought I'd be feeling like death every day, but looks like I'm getting stronger so WOOHOO! Once I hit 149 lbs (because 150 lbs is the borderline ;p) I think I will scream the house down!! I'll be dancing all freaking day!! I get so giddy thinking about it!

Mande - Wow!! Well done with your loss!! I think you're right about early mornings, you'll have to just make the time! It is possible =). I take it DF is fiance? Well done to the both of you!! Those are really intense RPG's! I tend to find those types of games really overwhelming haha. I love my Final Fantasy games =). You might like Deus Ex: Human Evolution, just because it's a good blend of RPG and Action/Shooter.

sgregg - Hehe, I like the way you said that: gone FOREVER! That's an adorable picture of you, your daughter looks so cute =) A bit of a poser I reckon ;p

HH4L - We love you too! Hehe. Rest up, take care of yourself and don't worry about things for now. Just make sure you eat good foods and you'll be fine. As they say "Feed a cold, starve a fever" - so pick which one it is! I scared myself when I read my old diaries, the way I spoke about myself was horrific! I thought I was the fattest thing alive it seemed like! Glad I've changed my mentality!

It's quiet...too quiet...

So that's why I'll yell...

I'M 170 LBS!!!!! I'm not sure if it's just a fluke but man am I happy!! Just 1 little pound to go and I'm in the 160s! Then it's the long 20 lb chug to HEALTHY!

Rie It certainly feels great receiving all those compliments It's awesome that your mom joined you! I can't make my mom to move, she's slim, and eats relatively healthy, but has the attitude that she's too old to do any kind of sports (she's 54) ... I personally admire middle aged people who are active, and hope I'll be like that one day!

Well, I had to fight with cravings yesterday. I beat them! And it felt so exhilarating! I am still sitting at home, but I'm better and I hope that tomorrow I'll be well enough to move more and get out of the house!
Btw today is kinda important day for me. 28th of September 2009, I was at my highest weight, 187lbs, and I think it was the point in my life where I was feeling most insecure and most unhappy in my life. On that date I started the diet. Of course, I since than I have started and re-started many times, last time 20th September 2011, but that I feel was the point when in changed the direction of my life. Two years later I am 13lbs lighter, which is not much, but at least it's going in the right direction. And personally, I am so much stronger, and more self-confident that I was back then. There are two lessons I can take from this (1) improving yourself requires effort ad struggle, but the pay off is so much greater than the initial discomfort and (2) I don't have to be a superwoman, small changes add up over time, the most important thing is consistency, and slipping up here and there isn't the end of the world...

Hope everyone wil have a nice day!

HH4L - You've given me e-germs! I feel ill today =(. Throat is a bit sore, nose is beginning to get a bit bunged up but the worse is the fuzzy feeling in my head. I'm not sure if Insanity would be a good idea right now - but gosh darn it I miss it! Perhaps I can pick it back up tomorrow when I'm rested.

Can't say much...just wanted to pop in and say that I had a 2lb loss for the week! And I did my monthly measurements today and since the beginning of August I have lost 1" in my bust and both thighs, 3.25" in my waist, and 3.5" in my hips! So, that's a total of 9.75" since August 9th! Woohoo! Also, I have made it to my first reward goal!! I had originally said when I reach 220 I was going to buy a new book series, but I want to change it since I have books that I've had since my birthday and I still haven't been able to read them. So, I need a better idea. I was actually thinking of just putting the money up and put it toward my next goal.

HH4L - Unfortunately, making a lifestyle change takes a long time to get used to. Just think, if you wouldn't have started 2 years ago, you would be so much further behind then you are now. It's great to think about all the positives since then.

Riestrella - Hopefully you will get rid of those "e-germs" soon. And go 170!!! I'm the same way when it comes to socializing. I like my alone time. I even like my alone time away from DH and the kids. I just have to have time to myself sometimes...keeps me sane. Ha! Get well soon!

Hey Girls!

So hubby took my computer to work yesterday to use because he needed it to show videos in his class . I had the iPad but it is horrible for typing, etc. and so I wasn't able to post. I did read you ladies though! I had weigh in today, and I am down to 152.4! Yay me, although I am still retaining water at that weight (ring is SUPER tight) so I am hoping that I can cheat weigh this weekend and maybe see something lower lol! Moving the ticker is always fun though so woohoo for that! Have Max Recovery here in a few minutes, and then it's off to the gym for Pilates and cardio. That Pilates class seriously kicks my butt lol! I hope you all have a great Thursday, it's just one more day to the weekend girls! Let's all stay OP and working out so we come out awesome from the weekend .

Mande-Great job on the lost lbs and inches that is GREAT! Keep working, you will continue to see results! WOW I can't imagine Shaun T saying that haha! He is so freakin hardcore in Insanity I can't put those two images together LOL.

sgregg-I am glad I'm not the only one who is NOT a housewife by nature lol! I am not a fan of cleaning, laundry, dusting, and I have some friends who LOVE to clean their house and polish and all that. REALLY?! What is fun about that, I just don't get it lol! It takes all kinds I know, and I am really impressed and envious of those women who enjoy keeping a nice house, if I enjoyed it the process would be so much easier lol! AWESOME 2 lb loss!!!!!!!!!! That is SO amazing! You have really been on top of this the last month . Stick with it you are doing so great! And you baby girl is super adorable .

HH4L-I hope that you are better . I hate being sick, I always try to do too much when I am and then I end up worse off than if I would have just rested and chilled out. So, get yourself better and lay on that bed/couch and let your body do the work to get better! I am glad to hear your determination on the loss front, you go sister! YOU CAN DO IT!!!!!!!!! You sound like a driven individual, and you will do great things . Thanks for the encouragement, at this point that 138 is looking so far away that I am a little bit intimidated by it lol! I basically just keep trucking so that I am happy for each little loss and hopefully it isn't TOO far away!

Rie-OMG YAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAY 170! See? Insanity is ridiculous right!? I LOVE IT!!!!!!!!!!!!! You are doing so awesome!!!!!!!! The stiffness/soreness leaves into week 2 your body becomes more "used" to you inflicting torture on it lol! You are also adding protein to it each day, which helps. I know that the closer I get the harder it will be to lose the lbs, but I still have 14 to go, and I was hoping it wouldn't get hard until at least the last 10 . I just have to stick to it and keep pushing! Great job you are so awesome! I wanted to tell you that there is an thread in Exercise-Fitness-Fitness Videos called "Shaun T's Insanity". It had to be restarted yesterday because the old thread was closed (it was about double the 500 post limit lol!) that I post to. There are about 3-4 of us right now on there consistently and it's great! If you want some Shaun T specific support, there is another girl on there right now who just started too. I am sorry you got sick . That is tough, and working through a crazy workout might not be the best idea. Getting better and then busting it out is probably best, you don't want to get worse and then not be able to work out for a week! Hope you get better soon!

Okay ladies, have to hit the floor for Insanity, talk to you all soon and let's have a great last day before the weekend!
