    Polli - a pound a week is really great, but I do hate those fluctuations. I wish it could just be linear and go down consistently! I sweat like crazy too and get super red. I'll go to the gym, cool off, shower, and STILL i am red in the face. Oh well - just one of those things you have to accept. I think being sweaty at the gym is perfectly normal.
  • Hey girls! I've been gone because I had no internet access when I moved into a new apartment at school. I was really scared because my roommates have different eating habits than me and one of them doesn't really agree with my calorie counting. However, last week I stepped on a scale and saw that I reached my back to school goal of reaching 130! I've actually been bouncing around 128-131. I have no idea where I'm at right now because I don't have a scale with me here but I'm planning on getting one soon to keep me on track. I'm really excited that I reached this goal!

    Also, it's great because I've influenced one of my roommates to come to the gym with me every morning. Even after a night of drinking (it's welcome week!), she now comes to my room at 10am without fail.

    I'm going to buy a scale this weekend and do a last weigh-in the night before school starts (Wednesday). Ahhh

  • The scale dropped dramatically since last week....although i don't even remember if I did a weigh in last week because I was in NYC with my friend. 186.8 this morning!!!! WOOHOO

    mindy - I've been the same. Sitting on my butt all week. Not totally stuffing my face, but eating too much for a person who is not doing anything.

    Well. Do I really need to express my disappointment, or is it obvious? Aha. While I'm glad to have not gained, 3 lbs in 5 weeks feels so insignificant. I will say that I'm bloated this morning and TOM is due any day, so hopefully that is affecting things. Either way, I'm going to go hard with the fitness and be better about what I'm eating and hopefully it'll pay off! I would be happy to be at 159 by next week although it feels impossible right now. I'll weigh in tomorrow and see if it was a fluke

    RachelAnne- Your supportive roommate sounds awesome! I think it would be much easier to go if you had someone to go with you; I hope I can make a gym buddy this year. My best friend is a guy, and he'd much rather lift weights to "get huge" than run on a treadmill with me. :P I'll keep working on him.

    Chele- Way to go on your weight loss! We started out around the same weight, so your ticker is very inspiring. Keep it up!

    Mindy- It's a new week! You can turn it around today and have a great weigh-in for next week.. it's crunch time!

    Sophie- If not tomorrow, you'll definitely get a whoosh for next week's dramatic finale!

    Yep - I did nothing last week. I didn't eat too badly, but I stopped doing any workouts. That one pound doesn't mean much to me simply because I'm having digestive issues. It's impossible to lose much if nothing is being wasted.. Sorry if TMI.

    Anyway, back on track today.

    Nice job, pink! That's great progress!

  • I move into residence tomorrow, guys! My scale is packed and I'm ready for the school year..minus about 3 loads of laundry and random things still left to pack.

    I also bought jeans today, one is a fits-right-now-and-looks-good pair and the other is a see-you-in-onederland pair. yay for motivation clothes!

    School starts on Tuesday and I suppose I'm ready. No moving for me, since I am all old and stuff. Although it would be so much simpler to live on campus..

    I need to do something other than sit around the house all day. Looking forward to an actual routine.
  • Hey ladies! Back from camp yesterday and exhausted but left with amazing memories and new friends. I lost weight at camp but not sure how long it will last since I lost it due to not eating much (camp food was horrid). Usually if I cut calories for anytime then start eating in a normal range again, the weight I loss comes back and even though I lost, it's not a great achievement as it was due to not eating enough- but I did try to when I could.

    Pink- amazing woosh, my goodness!!! Few more days then I will have an official weigh in, it's the last for most, have we figured out our next plan of attack for a new thread?

    Morning everyone! We finally made it through the Back-to-school challenge. I helped first years move into residence on Saturday, and so many of them brought minifridges and giant suitcases.. imagine their faces when I told them their 4 story building didn't have elevators. :P So, my calves are still killing me from those stairs.. I'm going to weigh-in tomorrow, hopefully they're retaining less water.

    I'm excited to see everyone's results!!

    So we are at the end- part of me hears 7 lbs in 5 weeks and am upset but then when I see the progress on here and see the numbers steadily going down, I guess I'm good with it and become actually pretty happy lol. Can't wait to see everyone's outcomes and get ready for our next challenge!

    Now we can start our winter break challenge! Whoever thinks of it first can start the thread this week. Hope everyone has a great first day and for those who are moving back in to student housing/res I hope that has gone well too!

    I'm about to look for a phys ed class to take tomorrow, gotta get into that routine quick!!
