Hi, I am new here but I posted my intro in the intro forum. But I can soooo sympathize with you! i have come to HATE the 160's lmao. I am 162 and last summer I did get down in the 150's but i got lazy . I am here now to make a commitment with myself bc my Hubby is deployed and I want to look AMAZING for him!
I just started with a trainer, so I am hoping that things will change.. otherwise I will have waisted a bunch of money! Anyway...
I am a calorie counter staying as close to 1200 as I can, but I also watch sodium, sugar, and try to keep carbs at about 150g per day (total). I no longer drink Diet Coke, or eat fast food of ANY kind.. I was doing a "bootcamp" twice a day, but since I wasnt losing, I decided I needed something completely different. Thats why I got the trainer- Now I am running at least 3 miles a day and doing weight lifting with him or alone 3 times a week as well..
Thats sooo awesome that you are running 3 miles a day!! I like to run, but I am a slow runner lol and its seems to take me forever just to run two miles so its not that i give up, its just time constraints since my daughter can only be in the childcare center at my gym for 2 hours. For a while i was doing spinning 3 times a week and a bootcamp class the other two days. I LOVE to workout....but I also LOVE food haha. So mainly my diet is the thing that is keeping me in the 160's Also I am super stressed since my DH left for the desert. Right now, I am doing nothing because my daughter is sick so i have been slacking and then I am getting a boob job (thank you hubby next week! So i wont be able to work out for about a month after that...so thats my excuse lol.
I would love to talk/ keep each other motivated since we are the same height and weight?!
After my surgery I am planning on going on low carb since that is really the only thing that works for me. I have tried almost everything and it works for a while but i cant stay on it. Low carb in the past has given me amazing results. So thats where I stand haha.
i wish i could afford a PT!! That would be heaven sent...but I think i am going to start the New Rules of Weightlifting for WOmen post surgery.
Hi everybody, I am also stuck in the 160s. I would like to atleast be 159 by the end of May. So I need to be more disciplined with my gyming and my eating. Last year I got down to 148 so I am bummed that I have gained some weight back. But no time to feel sorry for myself, I am getting back on training and going to work hard.
Hard work and discipline pays off.
I usually weigh in at the end of the monthly as that give my body enough time to loose reasonable weight.
hesmyanchor- we ARE very close to the same height and weight! I am about 5 pounds heavier than you! My weight just wont move! Thats cool that you are getting a boob job!! How exciting! I am going to see how things go with my weight loss, but if I cant lose the skin on my tummy, I will probably opt for a tummy tuck! But so far, it looks like its going to be okay! I am sorry that your hubby had to go back to the dessert. I cant imagine my husband leaving me, but I suppose if thats what he did, then we would work through it! Must be hard for ya, so I totally give you kudos!!<333
So very exciting news!- last night I ran a mile in 5:15 (on the eliptical) I was thoroughly impressed with myself. I know there is a lot of controversy around weather or not the eliptical is as hard as running, so with that being said, I always run at a level 7 so that I KNOW I am busting my butt!
My trainer worked me out this morning- and mannnn he pushed me!! I think I will probably be pretty sore tomorrow!!
I am stuck too!!! It is so depressing!! I saw 162 once, but I have been pretty much 164 every freaking day. I work out so much and it is depressing! I don't think I can stomach another serving of boiled chicken, but I do it anyways. I do know for our weight, we should be eating around 1500 calories a day if we want to lose, especially for how much we are working out.
I have a personal trainer as well. I met you in the other category when you asked about Thermogenics, unfortunately the thread was locked, so I was unable to respond back again
ryeb- I know, I was upset she locked it because she assumed it was a medical issue. But clearly, I have the Medical aspect of it under control. She may not understand that even when taking medication for hypothyroidism, it is still VERY difficult to lose weight. Anywhoooo.. oh well!
I work out at LEAST once a day, Tuesday and Thursday, I work out in the AM and the PM. I am only on 1200 calories though!
I will come by tomorrow and let ya know what the scale says-I ran 5 miles this evening! Every week I just get better and better! YaaaHOOO!!
Good job on the running! I have not been on the wagon this week I was locked out of my house (my child broke my only house key and the landlord was out of town) I could have hired a lock smith for like 125 bucks, so didn't. I missed Sat, Sun, Mon. Worked out Tues, Wed, got very sick and haven't been back I will go to spin class in the morning, so hopefully I can grab this bull by the horns again
Is that why it was locked? Oh well, I was surprised to see you only burn 5% more of fat, that is not anything for how much it costs.
Yes it does suck my Hubby is gone...I am taking it day by day and some are wayy worse than others (like today being mothers day and I havent even talked to him )
I havent worked out/ been eating good but i am not eating alot and am maintaining my 162 :/ Better than gaining I suppose. I just have no motivation right now. I am super depressed and cant sleep...but thats another story lol. I will keep cheking in on you ladies! I get my new bobbies in 4 days and I am super excited! After that its go time for me to get down to 140ish by OCT which I think i can totally do. I am planning on going on a very low carb since I think thats the only thing that has ever worked for me in the past.
WHen you run, you run on the elliptical? I thought you ran on the treadmill. Thats what i do lol. Hope my new boobies dont hit me in the face lmao
Hesmyanchor- Im sorry its so hard not havin hubby around. Thank you for YOUR sacrifice in allowing your hubby to serve our country. You are both strong and very appreciated! <3 Happy Mothers Day!!
I run on the eliptical at about a level 4- So I am building my resistance, to me, it feels just the same as running (even if others disagree). I tore my ACL in high school, so my trainer has advised me not to run on the treadmill everyday as it will put me at risk for injury.
ryeb- I dont know about the thermogenics thing, I have been taking them for two weeks, and if anything, I have more energy. I am not sure if I have really lost anything as it is TOM, so that always throws things off, and makes it really hard to stay OP with diet..
So, I started in the 170s last month and this month I am currently at 167 and feel like im not moving anywhere because of my damn period and also because I feel like Im not doing enough. Any ideas how I can get of of the 160s
