  • prepping - I know it takes time for ligaments to heal, but I'm getting surgery in 6 weeks and I was hoping to be 140 by then It sucks but maybe since it's starting to come off I can at least get to 155. Any improvements a good improvement!

congrats luciddepths and loren! You guys are so close to leaving!!
  • I didn't weigh in today, I have not been working out this week and it has me all down I know I have lost weight, but I still feel like I am at a standstill.

I also am uping my caloric intake, so hopefully that will help
  • Quillie it is Monounsaturated Fats -simply your good fats. In small amounts proven to help with belly fat and great for your heart. Since they are also higher in cals, I do not eat the recommended amount but about half of that. Prevention recomends trying to get a mufa in at every meal. I am close to it and have really seen a difference in my middle fat shrinking. I just hate my middle fat. Anyway, I eat olives (about 5-10) on a regular basis and 5 almonds about 9:00 in the evening and spray my pan for scrambed eggs with olive oil and in the afternoon I take 1/4 of a piece of bread and smear about a teasponn or so of peanut butter (4 bites worth) and on week-ends I will eat a little avacado too. Those are the mufa's. BUT remember since we are on reduction we have to be careful with amounts as we want to continue to loose. A fine line sometimes.
Oh and a bite of dark chocolate is on the list as well but since I don't care for it (gasp! I know) I skip it usually. Here is te serving sizes if you care to know.

  • 162.2.
Hey, 17 pounds to lose is closer to 15lbs than 20, right?
Now, I just have to start working out so I can get rid of my belly. I swear, I've lost inches all over, but my belly is proportionally the same! Very frustrating. Bonus, though, my bat wings are almost completely gone. Before, I was sure i was going to knock someone out if they stood too close.
  • Hello ladies!
This is my first day on this thread I have finally gotten myself out of the 180's which feels amazing but am sooo looking forward to staying on plan and exercising to kick the 170's and 160's in the behind!!! WOOHOO! (can you sense my excitement LOL)
  • Woohoo! 161.2. A full pound from yesterday! I'm so close to the 150's I can taste it!
  • Back up to 161.6 today. I kind of over did. It yesterday, but I graduated early from couch to 5k. I ran 4 miles last night. Granted, I'm running a 15 minute mile, but that's the farthest I've ever run in my life.

I'm going to keep working on it...I want 15-20 minutes off that time.
  • Still at 169.2.. dannnng. I am gonna wait until like Thursday to weigh again. Stupid dang scale..
  • hi there, im new to this thread... just recently having gotten down to 176 point something...

my first goal is to keep it off... it wasn't too long ago that i was 190.... so i'm scared that i'll go back.

second is... how to move forward from here... i've yo yo'ed a bit over the last couple of years, and have been down to this weigth before, but then emotional eating got in the way...

    any tips?
  • 163.8 today. I'm really starting to get bummed out. I'll try eating 1200 calories for 2-3 weeks and if that doesn't work...well, idk. I've been getting up a lot more throughout the day. I pulled a bike out of the garage that I ride, too. Whyyyyy. Come on. I just want to see 159.

Just keep at it and don't give up. I know it can be frustrating. I got down to 161 about a month ago and it's been nearly impossible to to get back to it after gaining 7lb back. Congrats on getting into the 170s.
