Default New yukata!
Today is Tanabata (the Star Festival) in Japan, and to celebrate, I got a new yukata (essentially a cotton summer version of a kimono) to wear to the local celebration. The ties came loose, so it's actually making me look BIGGER than I am, but I feel so much slimmer in this photo than the last time I was in a yukata... (New on the left, 2009 on the right...considering that my host mom helped me that time, it was properly tied and TIGHT. My face was so chunky >.< )

Thank you guys :blush: When I posted yukata pictures on facebook, a bunch of my friends, knowing that I don't take compliments well, ganged up on me to tell me that I looked pretty. Nice people give me a warm fuzzy feeling

Hotaruchan - Happy Tanabata!!! There was a fireworks display associated with a steamboat festival here last night, so we pretended it was actually in honor of Tanabata. You look great in yukata.
