To work out every day with the exception of one day a week I’ll just do P90X Stretch for a “break”.

Total: 7 pounds

Reward for myself: a new hair cut and a massage (of course with the expense of my company…ha-ha got to love benefits.)

Rules: I cannot miss more than 3 workouts in the month of January (Unless it’s due to illness or something broke on my body). If I do miss more than 3 days, no reward for me.

miz- im sure you can find jillian stuff on youtube? Im pretty sure I tried the 30 day shred or something on youtube (before I remembered how much I hated Jillian and wanted to strangle her, myself or my computer lol). Maybe that would be an option? Good luck at the gym! Excite!

The gym didn't work out as planned I didn't end up going BUT I did do the 30 minutes of Cardio X fromt he P90X series which I actually am starting to enjoy if I skip the first 15 minutes of the slow crap. Then I went for a 15 minute brisk walk...snow is hard to run let alone walk in...bleh. but in total I've so far managed to work out three days straight.

Diet went according to plan last night and I bumped up my elliptical time to 35 minutes instead of 30. Day 1 of 30 was great!

Loving this thread.

Yesterday was awesome as far as eating went. Got my water in (love my turvis tumbler cup... anyone else get excited over a new water bottle?!). It was my off day for the gym because I promised a friend I would go see him at work.

Stepped on the scale this morning and I'm down 4lb from Tuesday. WAHOO! And I'm making up for skipping the gym on Tuesday TODAY. I usually have Friday as an off day, but I made a choice so I'm dealing with the "consequence" of that today.

I went to the gym yesterday so far 4 days in a row of working out not too bad. I have a gym buddy but were both going for 2 different things, I want to drop 20 to maybe 30 (the pipe dream weight) pounds and she wants to bulk up because she joining the police soon. So it was 30 minutes of cardio then an hour of weights...not bad I don't mind doing weights but something is really wrong with my right elbow because it hurts like **** when I try and lift weights or do a push up. But today I want to do a 30 minutes on the tredmill, do a 45 minute circuit training the gym has to offer then go on and do weights, so I'll see what she says, if she's not game for that...I might just be not having a workout buddy after all. lol.

As long as we switch it up, we do her thing one day and do mine the next cool, and on the days we don't go together we just do our own thing. I won't mind, but if it comes down to always doing her weights and thats it...naw I'm just going to do my own thing, because I'll get bored of the gym and it's pretty expensive to not go to the gym after putting all this money out haha.

MiZ- I was getting really frustrated with my gym buddy. She doesn't really have much weight to lose and we would just hop on the treadmill or elliptical and talk vs. getting a really good work out in. Some people suggested talking to her and going IN to the gym together (for accountability) and splitting and doing our own thing... maybe you can do that? See how it goes. Either way, you're going so that's awesome.

Ferel - I don't have the talking problem, because she wants to workout hard core...but I get bored on just doing weights and we don't do Jillian style or P90X style weights where your working both upper and lower body. She says not to do that...and so just working out my arms is pretty boring and I want to sweat and I don't sweat much doing that. But yesterday was only our first day together so obviously there will be kinks. So today I'll talk to her about it.

Also the great thing is I get free 12 days with a personal trainer (Well wasn't free spent a crap load of money on the gym thing but it came with it) So I'll probably do it once a month within the 12 months or if I really need her because I'm not losing a thing then I'll use her more then once a month.

Feral Congrats on the 4 pounds!

Miz I have "workout" friends that are like that too. I feel your pain! I want to be moving..not lifting weights. I know how annoying that is. Hope it works out for you and your friend.

Last night I stayed on track. Hour and forty five at the gym-35 was elliptical. I had enough water, but was way under my calorie amount (890 for the day). I didn't feel woozie or hungry, so I guess it'll be ok.

Day 2 of 30--Check!

Had two days off plan because I was feeling down in the dumps Still feeling a bit blue, but going to get back on plan for a new week At least I still had a loss. Trying to stay positive and figure out what brought these blues on!

annah- you are a workout MACHINE!! An hour 45 mins? Insane!

miz- work out buddies are tricky! Part of the reason I dont have one I like feral's idea of you guys turning up and doing your own thing though. My sister and I kinda do that by accident, sometimes turn up and see each other randomly, so we'll do something together then go do something else
