It is hard to come back after recovery, but I just try to remember the whole 'change up' thing, where my new muscles are learning new things... and I'll be way healthier when I'm done!

And... I want to bust out of work today and run away. Gonna have to work out right away tonight, lots-o pent up energy. AAAAHHH!!

pokeycactus 11-15-2010 10:38 AM

I hear you, Katie!!!! We leave for our big Florida/Cruise vacation next Thursday and I want to bust outta work so so so badly...

This morning I did the Core dvd PLUS some of an Insanity dvd. My muscles are still shaking, haha

mafiaangel 11-15-2010 11:30 AM

Hey girls,

I did enjoy Plyo. I think I'll be doing that instead of Yoga.

Doing Kenpo and Cardio X tonight. Starting on my third week.

Finally got my resistance band so Legs and Back was awesome. My band has a door attachment so I work with that instead of the pull-ups.

kateleestar 11-15-2010 02:37 PM

I heart my bands... boo to pullups. Also, I don't believe I'll ever acutally have to pull myself up, and if I do, it will be a life-or-death situation, so I'll have adrenaline going for me, lol.

I need to go update my ticker!

I hope hope hope I can loose the last 20 by 1/1/11. If I don't, no sweat, but... ooo, it'd be sweeeeet!

kateleestar 11-15-2010 02:38 PM

OOooo! Seeing 220 there is AWESOME.

that is all, lol.

pokeycactus 11-16-2010 03:05 PM

Woooooo! 220 IS awesome! Yay for you!!!!

And I saw that you applied for a new job...good luck!!! I hope it works out for you.

kateleestar 11-17-2010 08:13 AM

OMG, I hope so too. Sheesh. It's a pretty big raise, and less stress. More work, but, oh well! :)

I want to loose 10 more lbs by my interview, but I have no idea when it is, lol, so I'm going to start doing 2x's a day and lower my cals... I'm thinking 1500. I dunno. Eek.

mafiaangel 11-17-2010 12:24 PM

Good luck kateleestar!

I survived Cardio X/Kenpo mix. Feeling a bit sore today.

Think I'm gonna take today off and do a double of Core/Arms & Shoulders, Ab Ripper X tomorrow.

Has anyone done doubles? Or taken more than one rest day during the week? I'm trying to stick to the schedule but at times my body is disagreeing.

pokeycactus 11-17-2010 12:28 PM

I've only ever doubled up a P90X workout in the am with cardio (Zumba, swim, run, etc) in the pm. The one day I tried to double up P90X workouts, I was so miserably sore for a week that I wasn't able to really put much effort into any workouts at all.

But if you're finding that you're not too sore, I'd say go for it.

kateleestar 11-17-2010 12:28 PM

Yes, I do it when I have too. The next day is tough, though, ... whew. You will wake up the next morning feeling it. ;)

I decided I will try the 2x's a day, but keep my cals at 1700. I dont want to lower them. I'm happy at 1700 and its fairly normal and easy.

jenn33082 11-18-2010 11:03 AM

Went to an NHL game with hubby last night and consumed way too many of his chili cheese nachos. Today was supposed to be Stretch X but I decided to try Plyo instead (to burn more calories). It was hard. I skipped about 20 minutes.

I think he says how hard it is too much. Kind of deterred me a little. I think I will alternate Cardio X with this one. I'd like to be able to get through the whole thing by the end of the 90 days.

pokeycactus 11-18-2010 12:11 PM

That's the funny thing about these programs - they consistently say they're "so hard," and "not for those who aren't already physically fit."

Well, really? Yeah, they are hard workouts - some are very hard. But modify, modify, modify, which is what working out really is all about, isn't it?

And I'm a good 60-70 pounds overweight and can still do P90X and Insanity (by the same company, BeachBody, that makes P90X). Can I do the whole thing, step for step? No. Can I modify it, get through the entire dvd and get an excellent workout that improves not only my "vanity" self, but my cardiovascular fitness? Yes.

I think they have to put those warnings on there for people that may have never worked out, ever. Maybe?

Hey guys! I've been lurking this thread for over a month now and finally got around to buying P90X. It came in the mail yesterday and I was so excited that I ended up starting today, lol.

The workout moves aren't as difficult/complicated as I thought they were going to be (don't get me wrong, there are a couple moves I struggle through and some I can't do at all lol), but my body is definitely exhausted.

I like it so far, though. :) Can't wait for tomorrow. I've been losing lbs but not many inches, so I'm hoping this works for me! :crossed:

Alrighty--I wanted to get through 30DS..before starting P90X. Complete 30DS on 11/18/10. I got the videos from a friend but do not have the bands..is it pointless to start the videos with the bands?

mafiaangel 11-21-2010 04:51 PM

You can get by without the bands if you have some weights. But about after a week, I did grab a heavy resistance band.

I'm almost caught up. Had to do a triple today...not recommended. Just one day behind, will have to do a double sometime this week.

What everyone's favorite disc so far? I like Legs/Back.
