  • It definitely does Stella!!!! We work so hard for 3 weeks for that one measly week to kill everything! haha
  • Ugh I hear you Stella! I peeked at the scale today - blah! Water weight be damned. But at least I think I've lost some of the vacation weight... some. We'll see at the end of the month.

And all of my spin instructors are back from their own vacations and are totally kicking my butt in spin classes - I've had jelly legs after every class this week!
  • I'm here! I'm here!

So my weekend was a complete disaster. I mean, I worked out and got a lot of extra exercise, but I was entertaining a friend and ate a LOT.

    But mostly? I drank.

On the upside, these weekends are becoming rare- I honestly can't afford to eat out all weekend and drink to my heart's content so I feel like it was out of the ordinary. I just hate when I do this to myself because it makes me feel so sluggish come Monday.

Hope you are all puttering along through your fall re-focus
  • Ha, Jen we are totally in the same boat.

Well, on Saturday I had chicken fingers, fries and butterfly fries. Oh and funnel cake. While at a wine festival. /epic fail

But, I hiked 12 miles yesterday, so I'm kind of back on the wagon.
  • 12 miles Good for you! Talk about redeeming a bad weekend
  • Saturday my friends and I went to the Renaissance fair where we had kettle korn, ice cream, soup in bread bowls, potato wedges and old bay fries, whoopie pies, and pulled pork sandwiches. It was all delicious, but it was all a no-no!

But, yesterday morning I went spinning and kicked my own butt and today (and every monday) I go shopping with a friend and we walk around the shopping complex, and tomorrow morning I have spinning so I think it's evening out?

TOM weight is on its way out and I'm looking less bloated in the mirror so yay for that
  • Jen, 12 miles and I'm still in pain. My calves hate me. Apparently you shouldn't drink all day, get up early, hike, drink that night, and expect your body to deal with it. I need to get back out there and get my hiking miles up.

Mary - That sounds like my weekend!

I'm so friggin excited to work out later, its not funny. I'm hoping the stair master helps get some of this soreness out of my calves (even though that is the opposite of logical). I'm trying to get in as many exercise hours as possible between now and Thursday, because I'm going to Minneapolis. I'm sure the hotel has a gym, but I have to leave my apartment at 4:30 am to get to my flight on time, so I'm not sure if I'll have the energy to work out on Thursday. I'm also going to Virgin Fest on Saturday (tailgating starts at 10 am) so I'm not sure if I'll be able to squeeze in a work out Saturday morning. I'm going to try, though
  • Ok I was bad yesterday, and I know it's because I was working on projects in the kitchen all day. And my mind knows that kitchen = food, and I guess spending that much time in there yesterday made me think I was hungry. Hello 3lbs water weight this morning! :C

But I've been good today (aside from not having the energy to get up and spin at all), I've eaten lots of fruit, drank my weight in green tea and water, and am eating under 1500cal today.

Tomorrow I'm going to get up and go spinning.

Also, small nsv - I've been considering "jeggings" for the fall/winter. I didn't want to buy another pair of jeans because I don't have the money and if I'm trying to make 150 by the New Year I don't want to buy a new pair. But I hate all jeggings that feel like cotton. I found that Charlotte Russe's are actually denim with just more spandex added in. I got them today and I love them! They're comfy and they look good on my legs! (I've never owned a pair of skinny pants before, girlfriend's got a booty and hips) So I'm happy to be one step closer to one of my ultimate goals - skinny jeans, the real kind!
  • Back from Minneapolis, or as I will refer to it from now on - land of hot boys. I was terrible on Saturday - I was at Virgin Free fest and drank from 9 am to 4 pm, then I took a nap, then I woke up and had chicken fingers and a cheeseburger. But with the amount of vodka in my system, that was necessary so I wouldn't DIE.

I worked out while I was in Minneapolis, danced at the concert, and ran 4 miles yesterday (then walked 2) and did lots of other exercises. Today I was 16.2 - so I didn't gain any weight, and my rings are swollen so there's a lot of water weight involved, but I just look smaller. I think I'm just plateauing. Boo hiss.
  • Stella - That's some champ drinking lol! I saw your new outfits on facebook, love them!

It's a dreary, rainy day here :C But at least it feels like fall, I can actually wear pants today and not feel like I'm sweating to death. I have a crapton of stuff to do this week...
  • Quote: Stella - That's some champ drinking lol! I saw your new outfits on facebook, love them
    Thanks

If you saw those pictures, you probably saw the ones where I was drunk laying on the floor lol.

I really did take a nap in the middle of a field. But you know, my friends watched me.
  • Hey ladies.

Stella - I love your new outfits.

I was really good all last week and now I have this stupid sickness again and well that always mean food choices are not the greatest. I just wanted some southern comfort food so tonight I had fried okra, fried chicken, and mashed potatoes with gravy. It was good and I feel comforted, but the weigh-in in the morning will make me feel quite the opposite. I really need to go buy some groceries, but nothing really sounds good so I am kinda blank on what to get.
  • Mojo - That sounds so good. Now that it's fall all I want is mac n cheese. Focus on feeling better!

Yay I think I busted all of the water retention/bloating from earlier this week and am back at 179 this morning. Although, it's not my scale since I'm house-sitting so we'll see when I get back home. The rain has let up and it seems that the weather should be in the 70s all week! Some walking is in order I believe!
  • Hey ladies!

I was MIA for a while due to a trip to Boston and Maine for a wedding. I'm STUFFED I also think my body is 80% champagne.

I'm severely lacking in sleep, so right now I'm trying to get plenty of water, rest, and watch my carb intake. This Friday I start C25K with a friend (I need a workout buddy right now and she needs some motivation) and I'm so excited!

Hope you all are enjoying your week! It's not even sort of fall here in CO, but it's perfect running weather!
  • Can I join?
