How frustrating! Maybe you're working out a lot and your body is holding onto water? These things can be so hard to troubleshoot! I relate, unfortunately.

Are you drinking enough water? Are you near your period? Have you started taking any new medication? Are your sodium levels in check? Are you exercising more? Have you been spending a lot of time outside in hot weather? Are your bowel movements regular? Are you positive your calories have been in check?

There are a LOT of things that could cause your weight to fluctuate. You do realize, in order to actually gain 2 lbs of fat in 1 week you would have had to eat 1000 calories OVER your maintenance level every single day, correct? Make sure you're getting enough water and don't let this derail you or cause you to feel bad about yourself. Your body WILL eventually start to lose again.

Weight loss isn't this automatic, "take in x calories, lose x pounds" kind of thing - there are tons of complicating variables. For example, having too much sodium one day can cause your body to hold on to pounds of water the next.

You're doing great with your weight loss so far - give yourself a break and stick to what you know works. Overall, you'll lose weight, unless you let little setbacks get you off track.

thanks for replying , i just needed to get it off my chest. ive asked myself all those questions and it could be water weight from to much exercise or sodium. ive been calorie counthing now for 2yrs (lost loads of weight an put most back on), so i know all the ins and outs about it but it still gives u a big kick in the butt when u see the scales go up and not down.
