Day 4 for me today. I made yesterday my off day because once school starts I cannot exercise on Thursdays and would rather be in that routine already. Im still sore from NMTZ :(
I noticed that there is a 5 second pause between circuits and I caught her saying "OK, moving on" a few times to indicate a new circuit on NMTZ. It does seem to all mesh together though! |
Today is supposed to be day one for me. And I can totally do it. But I'm already lacking in the motivation department. We'll see.

So, I'll probably do this exact rotation one of these days, but for now I'm just having fun trying new things. I've been rotating Yoga Meltdown and 30DS for the past few days, and last night I went out and bought BFBM. Maybe next week I'll go out and get NMTZ but for now, I'm sure those three will be more than effective.
As for BFBM, I tried it for the first time just a bit ago. Honestly, I don't give myself enough credit, because when I read the back of the DVD and saw that it was 7 circuits I told myself I would do what I could for start. (since I'm used to only doing 20 minutes of 30DS and maybe a half an hour at the gym) Not only did I finish the whole DVD, but by the end of it I found myself screaming "BRING IT!!!" lol. I'm more flexible and have much more endurance than I thought I did. I was kicking just as high as "her girls" were and the ab work wasn't a problem either. (Which leads me to believe that I've got some nice muscles growing under all that belly fat! ;)) Is it just me, or do you all sweat more doing 30DS than BFBM though? |
Well I just did BFBM. i think it was difficult for me because i have been sore since NMTZ 2 days ago. I was glad there were no weights - but i did sweat terribly and slacked off on a few exercises... some of them i found fairly difficult because I guess i just am not that great at coordination.
I think the 30 DS is harder... i feel the 30DS is more fast paced than BFBM so it's harder to keep up... i can't wait until sunday for my day off b/c i'm pretty wiped lol |
I'm starting sept 1

ive just finished day 4.. eek its kickin my butt!!.. but its all good :D not looking forward to 2mrw tho.. i know im gonna hurt even more!

Did my banish fat, boost metabolism yesterday and I have to say, I think it's my favorite so far! I've had the dvd awhile now but I guess I never used it. Don't remember any of the moves anyway, but it was fun! A good workout for sure, but fun. I felt so good afterward!
I forgot who asked, but I definitely sweat more during BFBM and NMTZ than I do doing 30DS. That one's pretty easy to me, level one anyway. Haven't done level two or beyond yet because I'm following the list and haven't gotten that far yet, but yeah, level one's way too easy (and too short, IMO). On the days where we're only supposed to do 30DSL1, I usually do other exercises too because I don't feel like I got a good enough workout. |

That was me. I agree, Level 1 is too easy for me now and does nothing for me anymore. (But when I first started, it was awful! lol) I sweat like a pig doing level 2, though. BFBM did make me sweat quite a bit, don't get me wrong...but not nearly as bad as 30DS. I also need to drink a gallon of water after 30DS, whereas BFBM (and Yoga Meltdown) a half a glass is sufficient. I think it's the planks, honestly...that's my weak spot and I don't think my body likes holding itself up in that way haha. So, I woke up this morning and my hips were sore which is AWESOME, because up until now, I don't think they've really gotten much attention. I love BFBM just for that! It's a great workout - I can't wait to do it again! :D |
I'm sure different workouts effect people different ways, so I'm sure they all have different level of difficulty for us all.
Today was quick trouble zones day and I'm still not sure what exactly that's supposed to mean (is it just minus the floorwork?) so I just did the whole DVD. Those surrenders are still horrid, but doing them with the 3lb weights instead helped immensely; I do the rest of the workout with the 5lb weights, so hopefully I can work up to using the 5lbs through those as well eventually. Probably going to take a second to put a towel under my mat next time too, my bad knee was not happy with me. Tomorrow's the day off, but I'm not a day off kinda girl so I think I'll work some light cardio in. That should still give my muscles their break right? Or maybe I'll just spend the whole day scrubbing my house, then we'd both benefit. |
I did BFBM yesterday and Quick Trouble Zones today. I'm feeling great! Lauree -- Quick Trouble Zones is composed of circuits 1-4 on NMTZ. :)
|
I think I am pulling 30DS Level 1 out of this circuit for the time being. I did it again this morning and my heart rate barely got up and my 5lb dumbbells felt like I was lifting empty water bottles. I am just going to do Level 2 or 3 when the rotation calls for Level 1.
|
I did day three this morning (had to "spend" my day off yesterday bc of work schedule)... first time doing NMTZ. OMG! It's insane, I almost died, and I loved it!!!
:-) |
Yeah, there wasn't anything that wasn't sore when I first did NMTZ lol ...
|
after every circuit I was thinking... "wait... there's more??!! o_O
|
Haha... I actually was ok getting through NMTZ. But I had the same reaction you did when I first started BFBM... it seemed sooooo long and I was like "Noooo no moreeee". But I think that was because I started that one after I had been doing 30 DS for so long. I was used to 20 minutes, so the extra 20 was pushing it at first haha.
