You can get an adapter for the pad to the computer and download http://www.stepmania.com/ there are plenty of websites where you can download steps for tons of songs.

wow I never knew you could do any of that! i have always gone off the games, i did know you could do your own routine but i didnt know you could download others steps or use any song. I may have to look into that now! Also thanks for the info on the arcade style mats! a little out of my budget but something I might consider at a later time.

Phoenix301- I believe redoctane used to make a cheaper hard pad...I don't know if they still do. Nevermind. I just looked them up and apparently the company doesn't even exist anymore, lol.

There might be a cheap one here http://www.ddrgame.com/ but I'm too lazy to look through everything. There's always Amazon, too.

I used to download a ton of songs from here: http://www.bemanistyle.com/ they are under the "Simulation" tab, and you have to create a log in and stuff in order to access. But you can download large packs of songs, ie all of DDR Extreme for example, or search for single songs.

I alternate DDR and run/walk intervals, to keep exercise interesting. Thanks to DDR, I can get in a good workout even when it rains! I've seen really good results since I started, and my husband enjoys it, too. It's a great way to exercise together.

I've heard of people dropping 30 or more pounds just from DDR, without even adjusting their intake, and I believe it!

I've been wanting that for a while, but didn't have a console! I just got a Wii for Christmas though, so maybe now I'll have to get it...ooh maybe that can be my reward for my 2nd mini goal!!
