Exclamation Ideal Protein HELP!

Sooooo, i'm new to this site. I started the Ideal Protein system last Monday, the 5th. I need some help! I am in keytosis, have not even close to cheated, and i have only lost 1lb! What the heck is going on?! I really enjoy this diet and find it very simple to follow. I was assure at my weigh-in that next week would be different. Has anyone else experienced anything similar?

How do you know you are in ketoisis? I have just started myself, and I have no idea how to tell if I am in this ?? I have my first weigh in on Monday. I started the same day as you did... I will let you know how it goes. I did cheat... though I was traveling... not proud but keeping it honest..

No cheating and no aspartame whatsoever. Just splenda where/when i need it.

There are these little strips, keytone strips, you can buy that you pee on to find out if you're in keytosis. You find them in the diabetic section at wal-mart, cvs, walgreens, etc. I got mine at wal-mart, by Reli-on. They're about $7.00 for 50. Best to test yourself first thing in the morning.

Aside from that. I'm so frustrated. I know it's early, but i'm afraid this diet isn't going to work for me now. I'm at my wits end at this point. I have tried pretty much every diet out there. Ie. South Beach, Weight Watchers, Atkins, etc. I lost a good amount of weight on South Beach and then couldn't lose anymore. I don't eat poorly, aside for the rare indulgence. I'm tired of being fat and need this diet to work.

Thanks for the tip on aspartame. I am going to go buy the strips today. I lost a total of 8 pounds. I am going to be much better this week. Congrats on your loss. I am so excited about losing weight. I will share any tips I can. I have a couple of good friends who have lost a significant amount of weight in 4 months. 45 and 50 lbs. Again Good job on being so good.

Jax-
Stay away from the scale! They said you should only weigh yourself once per week to keep it consistent. Things are going to change during the week, so ignore that scale!

I had to pick my food up on Saturday and had only lost one pound at that point. My diet coach asked me to weigh myself Monday morning and then let her know. That's when i had lost the other seven pounds. How, i have no idea. But it's great!
