Default Random food combos

I'm not really a cook, but I've been getting pretty creative about throwing foods together to get low calorie but yummy (to me, lol) and filling foods.

Here are a few of my random foods.

Chocolate Fruity Oatmeal
- 1/2 cup oats = 150 cal
- 1/2 tsp cocoa powder = <10 cal
- couple shakes of cinnamon
- 1/2 tsp splenda = 10 cal
- around 1tbsp sugar free raspberry preserves = <15cal
= less than 185 cal

Sometimes I add a banana (100cal) instead pf or in addition to the raspberry preserves. Choco-banana and chocolate raspberry are some of my favorite flavors. And this oatmeal is filling and satisfies my chocolate craving. But yes, it is pretty weird, haha.

Berry Banana Smoothie
- 1/2 cup light n' fit strawberry yogurt = 55 cal
- 1/2 cup Trop50 orange juice = 25 cal
- 1/4 cup frozen blueberries = 35 cal
- 1 banana = about 100 cal
= 215 cal

Add ice and blend. This makes a huge smoothie that's super filling. It's just as satisfying as ice cream to me.

So what random stuff have you guys thrown together?

I made a glaze for chicken that was delicious!

Blueberry-Honey Glaze
2 tablespoons of honey
Handful of blueberries
Slice of lemon
about a teaspoon of Chili powder

Put honey in a bowl, squezzed the lemon slice into it. Added blueberries, mixed and mashed everything then added a bit of chili powder. I set the chicken inside the mix while the oven preheated (about ten minutes) and baked it.

and another one i just came up with last week was my own refried beans.

Black Bean Dip
about half a can of black beans
tablespoon of orginal taco seasoning
ounce of swiss cheese
a couple pieces of steamed tomatoes from a can
2 pepperoncinnis

i heated the black beans, added the taco seasoning to it. placed it in a bowl with the cheese and mushed it up with a fork. added the tomato and cut up the pepperoncinnis over top of it (so the juice would go into it) and mixed it all up! its yummy on its own or as a dip.

Ooh, I have Oatmeal almost every day - I should try that one

My tip is: use non-fat Greek yogurt as a dip.
I dip sections of cutie oranges into the yogurt. Makes it like snack food. 90 calories for the yogurt (15 grams protein!!) and about 35 cals for each orange. I usually do 2 or 3.
