Default Bikini

I have told myself that even if I got skinny like 125lbs I would never wear a bikini. One I am not sure how my skin will look, and two I have a few stretch marks from 9lb baby.

What do you guys think? Will you wear a bikini when you get to goal? Just wondering anyone elses thoughts on this.

for me, I've thought about it...It really depends on how my skin looks. I figure I probably will NOT wear one this summer...but once I'm down to goal and I've toned more...maybe by next summer I'd be able to...

I'm still not sure how I'd feel about it though, because I have lots of stretch marks too...and it would be hard enough for me to find one supportive enough (being a 36F and all...>.<). I'd LOVE to be able to wear one and be comfortable in one...and I think I could get over the stretch marks...

I was at the beach last summer and I was near some gorgeous skinny girls in their teeny bikinis (feeling like crap because I was so overweight, but that is not the point) and I was looking at them...and I realized that they had stretch marks too. It was hard to tell, they were faded and silvery....but if they can wear bikinis with stretch marks all over their stomachs, I guess I feel like so could I.

I don't think I will ever wear a bikini and I'm fine with that. I have a lot of stretch marks and just wouldn't feel comfortable at any weight to wear one out in public. I might wear one in my own backyard to get a tan in but other than that there are tons of really cute tankinis that are just as cute in my opinion.

I will not be able to without skin removal surgery...I am still 40 or more lbs away from goal and I have a hanging stomach flap that only hangs lower as I lose more, and I have bat wings that are out of control.

I will!! Because by the time I reach goal, I will be so damn proud of my body, who cares about a few stretch marks!!

I got alot of stretch marks on my belly and BAD ones on my hips a few years ago when I rapidly put on all of the weight. But now, it's weird. You literally have to look REALLY close to even notice them. I have cousins who, after years, still have dark ones. I guess I'm just lucky in the stretch mark department.

I'll wear one! I have a few that i USED to look good in and I'd love to wear again.

Plus I've always wanted to own a green bikini.

When I'm thinner, I'm only really self conscious about my thighs. But what really gets me is that I'm PALE. But I'm a redhead so I'm supposed to be pale. I've had comments said about my skin, but there's really nothing I can do about it. I do have stretch marks everywhere, but I more just view them as a reminder of why I got them, and that I won't go back to that weight. They're like battle scars for me.

I will when I reach my goal. You can find so many more cute bathing suit options when you wear a bikini. I have never worn one in my life, but next summer I will. Victoria's Secret has some of the best bathing suits, and I can't wait until I can wear them and look good in them.

I will, but not a bikini bottom! I will wear a hotshort type bottom that I have from victoria secret. It kind of covers the map of stretch marks I have from my baby and, my dears, my breast are soooo hot I KNOW people will not be looking at my stretch marks.hahaha Plus I have seen countless mother's who have stretch marks and still look hot. I don't care what shallow people think. Thats their hang up not mine. I want to enjoy my life and do it for my hubby. He thinks I am hot so who cares what other WOMEN think, you know the men aren't freaking out about it.
Also I have a really cute tankini that is totally open all the way down my back and quite frankly I think it is super sexy. So on those days I am feeling a bit insecure I can show of my sexy back Win Win

I wore one last summer, when my weight was at it's lowest(172!). Yes, I've got stretch marks like everyone else, but once I had lost a decent amount of weight, they REALLY started to fade, and no one could tell.

I won't wear one on spring break(in two weeks) because I'm nowhere near ready for it this year, but I hope to rock it out again this summer.

I will! I have like 9 bikinis all waiting for me in my drawer. I try one on every now and again to see my progress and so far, it's alright. I say if you want to wear a bikini, don't just wear it, rock it! I mean we all used to be heavy so we know the difference between looking good and not looking good. So as long as you look good in it, rock it out chicks!

I will! I want to get more toned and lose more weight first of course. And even then I do have stretchmarks on my hips and lower belly from growing and having my son so I won't be wearing teeny bikini bottoms. But I agree with sun, my breasts look hot so I don't think anyone will be looking at my stretch marks! I can't wait til summer!

Heh, I wore a bikini at 223 lbs, so yes, I will still be wearing one at goal.

I have a long torso, so if I wear a one piece I look pregnant - I always felt more comfortable in a bikini.

yes! I worked at a bikini store about 3 years ago and got a TON of itsy bitsy cute bikinis that have only been worn to my apt pool because I was too afraid to wear them to the beach.
As far as stretch marks go, EVERY woman has them...even some of the skinny fats so I dont even worry about those anymore.

I was wearing the same "magical" bikini from 140lbs to 170lbs so I'll definitely be wearing one this summer too I'm a bit more excited for it, I guess, but even thinner my body isn't a paragon of conventional beauty standards so I really wear it just for me. I have a lot of stretch marks too. I think bikinis are more about attitude. And coverage, no matter what your size lol. I hate how small they make most bottoms these days--I need a medium with fuller coverage, not a large that hangs off and yet still exposes half my butt...grr.

Theres a company that makes GREAT bikinis for women who arent sticks (ie bigger boobs/butts/bellys)..theyre a tad expensive though. The brand is called "sunsets" i believe and their bikinis support and hold in your goods while still looking cute.
