Default Work out music

What is everyone listening to when they are working out? I'm always looking for new music to add to my playlists. Currently, my favorite workout song is Imma Shine by Youngbloodz. Thanks for any suggestions!

depends on what im doing...if im running, i'm a big lady gaga/britney spears fan. for lifting i stick to flogging molly (irish rock band) or metallica cuz they pump me up. for cool downs i lean on jack johnson. every now and then i jazz it up a bit. i have a country workout mix, dance, pop, hiphop, rap and an oldies mix. depending on my mood, i grab one of them. when i'm feeling self conscious about how i look when i'm working out (we all have those fat days) i stick to the 90's music like baby got back, tootsie roll, wiggle it, etc.

I mostly listen to country, the beat helps me get going with the cardio stuff.

And, this is really random, but the soundtrack to Black Hawk Down is fun to work out to. It's intense and kind of a fusion of rock and arabic music. It's pretty neat, hehe...definitely gets the heart rate up.

my fav workout song at the moment is Lil Wayne "drop the world" it does have profanity and im not even a big rap fan but the beat and the idea that everything im going through is making me stronger really helps me get through the hard parts of working out, but i have lots of random stuff in my ipod..

I listen to whatever gets me going. Sometimes I have no say in the music because the instructors of the classes choose the music. But I sometimes listen to Daughtry. My favorite group is Lady Antebellum, so I have both thier CDs on my mp3 player. Great workout and cool down music.

I think Britney Spears is the best work out music haha. Jay Z's run this town is a good work out song also. I am a big country music fan, but I don't think its the best of workout music, so I am excited to see the replies!

I do really well with NIN. And pop. Pretty much any industrial music or pop music.

Ooooh, I love all things Jay Z, especially Run This Town. It's so interesting to read what everyone has in their headphones. I always wonder when I see everyone silently chugging away on a treadmill. When I'm working out, I love anything fast, loud and with a strong beat. I've been into incomprehensible reggae lately, with Gully Creepa by Elephant Man being my favorite. I really have no clue what he's saying, except for calling someone a creeper over and over again. Plus there's a really funny dance that goes with it, which I have yet to perfect. It's all the rage in Kenya.

I third the Lady Gaga. Especially if you have seen her music videos. Most of the time I can just put on Gaga and envision the insane videos she makes for her songs and my time on the elliptical just flies by.

I also really like Queen and Mika. Coincidentally, one of Queen's best songs is "Fat Bottomed Girls" and one of Mika's best songs is "Big Girl, You Are Beautiful," which both make me smile when they pop up on my workout playlist.

I have Gaga, Black Eyed Peas, Flo Rida, and the lastest I added was that song "According to you" It motivates me for some reason. Maybe I have issues and it hits a nerve but it keeps me going. On a silly note when I have that moment where I want to quit I go to MC Hammers 2 Legit 2 Quit....
