What a d-bag. I agree, unfriend him on fb. If he says anything else tell him that you got this far on your own without d-bags like him making comments.

UGH I can't believe he said that! And these are exactly the kinds of d-bags who would start paying attention to a girl just because she's lost weight, as if that determines her worth... sure, some superficiality is acceptable in mate-selection or whatever, but in relationships with friends/strangers/COLLEAGUES? Unbelievable. Tell him straight-up his comments are bordering on harassment and that they disgust you. And definitely defriend him, you don't need that polluting your news feed.

I was telling my husband about what happened to you (hey my life is boring right now, gotta have something to share!) and he suggested that you pretend to have a "friend" to set him up with and start going on about how this friend is such a great GUY and how they'd just click so much! Oh you aren't gay? I just assumed.... SORRY! He'll be so obsessed with his OWN behavior (why would she think that, what did I do?) that he probably will be a bit less.... stupid around you.

PS: not all guys are like that. Hubby and his boss (both guys who work with the same 20 women every freaking day) didn't even NOTICE when their coworker gained 75 lbs (she and I talked about diet and stuff and I told hubby, he had no idea, how could he not notice? He sees her every day!). Then again, another coworker was 7 months pregnant before either one noticed..... Yup all the good ones are clueless!

A litte OT, MyPitBullSmiles, but it's funny how sometimes you can't notice major changes because you're only seeing them so gradually. For example, from time to time some of my coworkers will notice my weight loss, but it's not frequent because they're seeing me slowly dip down by 1lb-2lbs a week. It's gradual, so it doesn't register as strongly. Compare that to my family, who see me every four months or so and are seeing me 30-something pounds lighter than I was before... they definitely make a big to-do about it!

Back on topic, I second the suggestion to unfriend the guy, but I`d try to do it without mentioning the real cause. Since he seems to like teasing you (at first it was mutual, I believe, but he really crossed a line), I would try to avoid showing how angry and upset his remark made you. If he knows it gets to you, he might do it again because he clearly feeds off your reactions. If he asks why you unfriended, you might say you`re pruning your friendslist because it`s too crowded.

I feel for you hun. I think if you have a decent "friend" work environment you should be able to pull him aside and tell him how it really made you feel. In my work, I'd go straight to my boss. I do not put up with that crap. I did have a co-worker one time ask if I "should really be eating that". I was having a small ice cream after lunch on a hot summer day. Granted I worked at a car dealership and the guys can be jerks but that was uncalled for.

I still stand with by what I said; if he's a "friend" you should be able to tell him that it was uncalled for. That you've busted your *** to get thin and won't let yourself get back to where you were. Him poking and sticking his nose in your business is uncalled for and he should respect the fact that you know what you're doing. If he just blows you off like you're over reacting. Let him know if he continues you'll have no choice but to go to the boss/supervisor and complain. He's making it a hostile work environment for you and that's not healthy any way you look at it.

Good luck with whatever method you choose!
