Default having a chocolate kind of day...

Ugh, I am having one of those days where I just want CHOCOLATE. I have been doing so well for a long time without any chocolate and now all I want is some chocolate! I think I will make myself a nice cup of hot coacoa...

There are some great lower-calorie hot cocoas out there...and it's a great way to get your fix. There's nothing wrong with chocolate if you work it in!

Jello SF chocolate mousse is really chocolate-y and yummy! (60 calories)

Most candy bars make 100 calorie versions of themselves

I was having one of those days yesterday. I went a little crazy. But I am proud to report I am doing much better today.

I started eating a Fiber Plus Dark Choc Almond bar when I get crazy. I've had full-fledged candy bars that I didn't like as well.

I eat a piece of chocolate every Sunday (after weighing in). Just one piece, but something expensive/ for special occasions so I don't feel deprived either way.

It totally helps to curb my craving for sweets.

I eat chocolate every day...one piece of Dove sugar-free dark chocolate. It's 45 calories a piece and it's YUMMY. I'm a believer that dark chocolate's good for you anyways, and since I let myself have a little for only 45 calories, I never have cravings for Twix or Milkyway Midnights anymore (which have considerably more than 45 calories...lol).

Weirdly, the Slim-Fast Double Dutch Chocolate snack bars are AMAZING and weigh in at 100 calories. They are pretty tiny, though.

speaking of chocolate, my husband bought 5 chocolate oranges and a 2lb bag of holiday m&ms...all for himself...that will all sit right in front of my face every day.

thank you for the support, dear.

chocolate is my downfall. I eat those fiber one chocolate and oat bars at least once a day...it does the trick but still not as good as a snickers or reeses <3

Everyday would ruin me! I don't have the willpower to face (not eating more) chocolate everyday.

I love chocolate

I used to try and be "strong" and not give in to having it but these days if I feel like it then I have something small. Sometimes its just a teaspoon of nutella, others it might be a couple of treat sized bars - right now I am munching on peanut butter M&M's :P

For me I have found allowing myself to just have it has actually decreased my cravings for it and when I DO have it i have soooo much less.

apparently for me trying to not have it at all (or very infrequently) just led to major binging

I agree with those of you saying that its good to find some way to have a little chocolate when you want some. I have had crazy days where I overstep what I should eat but chocolate is one of those things that I allow myself sometimes. For me i do portion control and so eating less chocolate than usual in itself is a victory for me. The other day we made Christmas goodies..we made buckeyes and haystacks and puppy chow. I only ate 2 buckeyes (one was to test the mix) one haystack and a little bit of puppy chow..now you are going to say 'Thats still a LOT!" but for me it is actually way way WAY less then in the past and as long as I keep keep my portions controlled from the past its something I am okay with.
