I can't wait to go to stuff like fright fest! lol Six Flags is on my "to do" list once I get down in weight. I have quite a few things that are on that list. Things that seem so silly to normie's (normal people lol) but they are so huge to me. Can't wait! Do any of you guys have things like that? And Feral I always weigh my meat before I cook it because I'll buy a big thing of hamburger meat and measure it out to 3 oz a peice so I can just thaw out enough for one meal.
There is no such thing as low-point peanut butter, unfortunately. I get Smart Balance peanut butter, it doesn't taste like crap, and its not so bad.
Platform - to be stereotypical Jersey, I grew up off of exit 14A on the turnpike, so I was only about 40 minutes from Great Adventure - we used to go with my parents a lot, but since I moved to MD the tradition kind of fell off. New Hope is ADORABLE. I like to go into Bag Ladies, its this store at the end of the main road - they have lots of funky jewelery and clothes in there.
Stella - funky jewelry and clothes? Sounds like my kind of place!! Oooh I'm excited
Yeah. Um here are some terrible directions...
So the street with the bridge is called "Bridge Street" (ironic, right). There is a Starbucks on this corner. If you exit the Starbucks and cross bridge street so you are walking toward the Playhouse/water mill, you keep going (on the same side of the MAIN street as Starbucks) and Bag Ladies is a few minutes down that street. You'll pass a few Indian stores (also have cool stuff in there) and lots of restaurants before you hit it. There is also a candy store.
It is so freaking cold here!!! I was piled up in a hooded sweatshirt and sweatpants last night while under my covers with an extra blanket on top!! That's usually my "middle of January blizzard" attire LOL It's only October....it's too early! haha
I went to the gym yesterday and was absolutely beat when I got home! I had this weird ache in my left thigh that was bugging me all throughout my time on the elliptical and bike. I held off on the treadmill jog because of the thigh pain, but it was annoying. I have class this afternoon after work, so today will be my "rest day" from the gym so hopefully the time off will let my body rest a bit and get back to normal.
Good Morning girls!!!!! I am in the best mood I've been in in a while!
So today marks ONE MONTH of me being smoke free! I know it seems a little weird because technically my quit date was the 16th, but this is the 4th Wednesday. YAYYYYY!!!
I hopped on the scale this morning. I really TRY not to weigh in every day but I do like to see my progress through the week. TOM is gone so I was pleasantly surprised to see I was down 3lb to 203... for a total of 5 lbs down in a week and a half. WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! Totally stoked!!! Monday is still my official weigh in, but I'm glad to see that my efforts are paying off. Makes me feel good!
Congrats Feral! I hope you all are doing great! I was just wondering... how do you guys deal with your birthday in terms of food/drink? Mine is coming up and I'm a little afraid I'm going to ruin the past week of eating well....
I'm back down to 194 today. I hope I don't yo-yo between here and 196 like I did last month between 197-199 :c I took another progress picture today, even though I haven't reached 190, but it's been 1 month since I took a progress pic and I was curious to see the difference. 1 month, I thiiiink about 11lbs. I'm posting the picture side by side in my progress pics thread.
Hello everyone! Hope ya'll are doing good! Congrats Feral on the loss!! So exciting And quitting smoking is my next task but I need to get the ww task down first lol.
I hear you Bananas. At least you know you want to quit though. I have read a lot of people lose the weight first and then attempt the smoking. I had tried smoking before but really didn't have my heart in it. (Same with dieting too tbh) I'm sure once you get the weight down you'll be ready to quit!!! I know my wallet and my lungs are thanking me right about now!
I know I posted this in my progress pics thread, but I just had to post it here to show you guys - this is exactly 1 month difference!!!! It's hugely comforting
Yay Platform! You look great - you can really see the difference in your waist
Feral - Congrats on being one month smoke free!
Sobananas - Welcome
Today's been alright so far. I've finished a lot of work, but the big thing on my mind right now is my wedding budget... DH and I are planning a ceremony/reception for next summer and although my dad said he'd help with the costs, he's being pretty vague about how much that might be. He asked me to put together a sample budget and I can't even believe how fast the numbers are adding up!
The problem is, I found this great little park that you can rent for really cheap, but the buildings on site only hold 50 people, so we'd need to rent a tent, tables, chairs, etc, which seriously adds to the cost. Plus, the park works with an exclusive caterer and although they've said they could do something more low key for us (we really don't want this to be a huge, expensive deal), they seem to lean more towards formal meals. So now I've got to decide if it's still worth it to go with this park or find somewhere else that still has availability...
I got my wisdom teeth taken out on monday morning so i've been living on mush the last couple of days. Leave it to me to gain weight when i can't actually eat anything of substance. Am I the only one who hates drinking water? I *have* to make crystal light or I'll never hit my daily intake.
