Harder than I thought, lot harder than I thought....
I think I will start with 5 minutes out of my 20 minute walk...

You can do it!! I had the same mindset as you did - loved the idea of running, but never thought it would be possible. I started slow when I decided to lose weight and get in shape - long walks for a month before I could even run at all. But once I started running consistently, I was amazed at how quickly I made progress! It really is a mental thing more than I ever would've guessed (check out my blog if you're interested) , like someone was saying above about constantly pushing your threshold. But it makes you so proud of yourself! I run first thing in the morning 3 days a week and it makes me feel awesome all day! And I just signed up for my first 5K next month. So go for it, and push past what's sucky and scary at the beginning, and it just might be the greatest thing ever!
