Default Ticked Off!!!

So this is a little stupid to be mad over, but basically I graduated from college a little over a year ago and my fiance goes there now, (he started last year) and when i was an undergrad, there was a debate on whether or not to build a rec center. There was a vote, and I voted yes, and it was passed. Well that was about three years ago, and now it's finished and I still live in town. Well I asked if alumni are allowed to use it, and they told me no! I said that I was willing to pay what faculty and staff pay, and I was still told no. I voted for the damn thing! I should be able to use it, at least until I move to LA in June. And it's a nice freaking gym and would only be like $250 a semester. I just think it's not that fair that someone who gave a lot of money to the school can't use the gym, and let alone I voted for it.

So basically my fiance gets to use this really nice gym and I can't. And I don't want to join another gym in town because I like working out with him. And now I can't go to his gym even if I pay. GRRRR!

If you are part of the alumni association maybe you could write to them and ask about a petition to allow alumni a chance to use the center as well?

thanks, I think i will write to the alumni association, since I do still live in town and would me more than willing to pay a fee to use it.

So another rant not related to weight loss.... Forever 21 is opening a store in my town so I applied and got a job there. Good, right? Not! I have another job and they knew that when I applied and when I got hired, yet they expect them to work around their schedule. Even though they're my second job. So I've been trying to talk to these idiots in lower management at another store in Fresno and got no luck. They called me yesterday and wanted me to work overnight tonight 12am-8am, but I have to work tomorrow at 1pm! Not gonna work, and they could care less. I asked the guy who called me what the rest of the week looked like schedule-wise and said that I am unavailable Wednesday and Thursday because I'm going to San Francisco (I just got engaged so we're celebrating) and he said that was fine. And guess what? I got a call today, saying that I have to work Wednesday and Thursday, 8am-5pm. Hello???? Can I say serious lack of communication? (Oh, and it's the same store they're calling from) So basically I had to go down to the store that's still being set up and talk to the manager there, and she said that they want this job to be priority. Ok, but my current job does the schedule 2 weeks in advance, is that OK? Nope! They want "first pick." So basically they forced me to quit. And the manager just acted like a total idiot, and I said that if I had known that when I was hired and during my orientation, I wouldn't have accepted the job, nor would I have accepted it if I had to work overnight. She said too bad. That's just totally unacceptable to me, and totally unprofessional. I can't believe they expected me to basically tell my other job to shove it, ya know? My #1 priority is them (plus I get paid more and have more responsibility). THey just either don't understand that or don't care.UGH!

DON'T WORK FOR FOREVER 21!! They could care less about you as an employee. Just because the economy is in the crapper and people will accept any job, does NOT mean you can treat your employees like crap!
