  • Congratulations Sylvied!!!!!! :-)
  • Well, I was wrong when I thought I'd lost another pound. I forgot I'd already lost that pound. LOL My weekly weigh in (one week since I started exercising) is this Wednesday. I've been eating *really* healthy, just a bit too much so I doubt I'll see anything lost this week. So my goal for this coming week is to keep doing 3 miles 5x week (last week I did 4x week) and tone down the calories a little bit.

I'm weighing in at 163.3, so I think it's safe to change my ticker!

  • Weighed in at 159.8 today! woohoo!!!
  • So I was at chevys tonight and didn't make the best choices. I had the original chicken fajitas (900 cals) plus 4 tortillas at 167 a piece and I can't find if the 900 calories includes the beans and all that :/ I don't feel too guilty though I haven't gone off plan like that at all since I've started.
  • a klondike bar and choc. cake later, I feel guilty now
  • 165.8 this morning hoping to see 164 by Labor day
  • I'm having a really hard time in the 160s. Let's not even talk about August (I gained overall). I was up to 170.2 yesterday, but back down to 169.6 this morning.

I'm hoping that this whole new month thing will work it's wonders. The durn boyfriend is down 4 lbs in the last 11 days. Gahhh. (happy for him, really)

At least I'm keeping to my running schedule. That is one place I'm feeling successful right now. Surely the weight will follow.
  • Weighed in at 162.2 today - yay! But I'm feeling so close to the 150's yet so dang far away. :-P My goal is to reach 159 by October 1st! Does anyone else have a goal for reaching the 150's? Maybe we could encourage each other?

  • Inching my way down: 169.4 this morning. I just need to hold it together this coming long weekend. 0.2 to go for a 1 lb loss this week.
  • im still steady @ about 165. i met with a trainer yesterday she said i need to increase my calories from 1400-1500 to around 1650 and do more weights. she made a good point about how a lot of runners are skinny and loose " fat/skinny" because they do so much cardio they burn from their muscle. i got 2 free session so shes gonna show me some weights n junk.
  • 166.6.....been there for a couple of months...argh!! So happy when I had gone from 175 to the 160s...I was so happy to be in the 160s, now I'm DESPERATE to be in the 150s....
rainsweptviola--I also would like to reach 159 by October 1st!! You are closer than me though!!!

Well what are you doing as far as eating and exercising? Hitting a plateau at 10lbs lost seems kinda early
  • AKT---i wouldn't say I've reached a plateau lol...it's more like I've reached laziness!!! I need to get my act together!!! I do something for 2-3 weeks, dont see a change and then get upset and eat all the junk in the world. Very ignorant of me, and I'm aware of that and trying to change that. That's why I'm here now!!! Trying to better myself and be more realistic.

I just wanted to encourage you to keep at it!! I had been like that (getting discouraged and stopping) for my entire life, but this last time I've been sticking with it even though I lose weight sooooo slowly, and it's been worth it. Something that helped me a TON is getting a scale that weighs with ounces as well, and being able to see my progress that minutely has been amazing for keeping me going! I know ounces vary and change all the time, but with doing 60 minutes 4x/week just walking on the treadmill, and eating sensibly, I'm losing more ounces than gaining them. It's slow going, but at least it's going. :-) Every ounce lost is a victory to me!

This site and forum have helped SO MUCH with encouragement too. :-)
And yay, we have the same October 1st goal!! Let's update here with our progress?
  • I am so, so, SO excited ... I am currently at 160.4! I told myself I'd be in the 150's by my birthday. I think I'll be there quite a few weeks earlier than intended! WOOHOO!
