Congrats on the race!!!

I have a question that has always bugged me about these races. Do you have to run/jog the entire way, or can you walk in between jogs if you want?

Thank you y'all so much! I really appreciate all the support. I feel so empowered! I saw the results. I'm 342 out of 501.

Orth- You can walk for sure. What I would do is I would run, and I guess I'm a pretty fast runner. I don't like to jog, it makes my body work harder to jog. So I would run, pass a whole bunch of people and then walk. Then I would do it again. I know they say slow and steady wins the race, but I'm more of a run/ walker versus straight jogger.

Swim/ Icon- I'm thinking of doing another one in June. But there is one in April so I may look into it. I think I might have become addicted to racing!

Fat pants- I really don't consider myself much of a runner. For the past 3 months I have consistently walked/ ran for 30 min at least once a week. The last 2 weeks I have bumped my running to 45 min to an hour three times a week. I wasn't on a program but I for sure walked more than I ran. It's so different when you're in a race. I'm so competitive that I just kept pushing myself. I got to the point that I would run like a tenth of a mile/ walk and then do it again. I didn't care that I couldn't run for a long time

I don't have stamina as far as starting. The first mile is the hardest but once my body is warmed up, I'm good. I hope this helps!
