Popcorn is a good alternative to chips... and still crunchy!

I remember at weight watchers they taught us if you are stressed eat crunch like even baby carrots would do. If you want chips at least eat something crunchy.

If you want sweet eat fruit.

I've done the same to lurking bags of chips
I spray them with cleaning fluid or dish soap sometimes. haha

I've even been known to go to the store, buy chips or candy while feeling guilty about it the whole time... coming home and thinking better of it and dumping cleaning fluid all over the stuff I just bought!

it depends on whether or not it would be retrievable from the trash can. Some of us have simply gone that low and thus precautions need to be taken. I remember one day DH and I dumped a half gallon of ice cream in the sink and started to run water over it

...

as it was melting, we were picking at the chunks of whatever and eating them.
