Default I can't stop eating!!!

I don't know what it IS with me today!! I usually go through my day kind of knowing what I'm going to eat and at what time but today all I could think about was FOOD! and FOOD. and MORE FOOD! It seemed like every time I got up I was walking in the kitchen and totally eating everything in sight. I had breakfast, lunch, dinner, a snack, another snack, ANOTHER snack... and I just finished a snack this minute. What the ****?

But the kicker is that I wrote all of it down. I guess subconsciously if I was going to eat the day away I was going to know the damage. And yes I ate some junk- but I would say 75% of what I had today was stuff I would eat anyway...generally healthy with some crap mixed in. Just a skinny cow here, a single serve bag of popchips there... it just sucked that i wanted to eat. All. Day. Long. And when I just added ALLLLL my food for today- I was at 1600 cals.

ok REALLY what the ****. I have been obsessing and craving and killing myself over food all day long and I only went over 200 measly calories????

today was a weird day....

When I am that hungry, usually a big bowl of Kashi cereal will stave off my hunger for quite a few hours. I bet tomorrow will be ten times better. Every day is such a struggle. When I wasn't watching what I ate for the holidays though, I actually sort of missed counting calories and my workouts. I love having being in control to look forward to every day. I really feel like I have accomplished something by not eating cake by the handfuls.

By the way, how have you lost all the weight?

I am having the same kind of day. Lol! I'm trying not to act on it though. I ended up delving into my weekly points allowance on WW, which I didn't want to do. But at least I stayed OP! I wouldn't worry about the extra 200 calories. Like someone said, you probably needed it!

**update

i feel MUCH better today! i think i wasn't hungry that it was rainy and i was bored and... well, you know the story. i get plenty of nutrition so i just chalked it up to "one of those days"

i wrote myself a nice little 'kick in the butt-get moving' sticky note and put it where i can see it. also planned out my EXACT menu for the whole day and will be eating only that. i don't know if i would even consider yesterday a slip- like i said just one of those days....

thanks surfer chick! and thanks everybody else for the input... i'm so strange sometimes... haha aren't we all though??

I get that way ALL the time. where I eat because I have nothing else better to do, and I let my mind believe that Im hungry when really Im not.
Its getting better tho. lol.

When I was a freshman, my Intro to Psych professor told me that she had dropped a ton of weight. She let me in on HALT - eating out of hunger, anger, loneliness, or being tired. I tack boredom on there, too... although "HALT-B" doesn't have the same ring to it.... But I do tend to eat more when I'm bored...and then I just feel bloated, and still bored!

(and to be honest, 20lbs isn't a ton of weight but i FEEL really pretty)
