this is my first week of trying to go down to weighing myself once a week (sundays). it went ok, but i did weigh myself on thursday. so i won't weigh again until sunday. it was nice not weighing everyday; i felt less uptight. i am still eating and exercising on plan, but it seemed like when i weigh myself everyday i am really hard on myself hoping that there would be a loss the next morning. i would suggest trying to weigh once a week. it's hard not to, though. good luck.

I too am a bit obsessed with the scale. Waiting to WI only once a week feels like an ETERNITY when you are dieting! I also get discouraged if I don't see a nice drop from day to day, and in the past, that has caused me to fall off the wagon. I am contemplating weighing in twice a week. That way I am not in agony every day. Good luck! We are here for you and are in the same boat!

I'm absolutely guilty of the every day weigh in, but I found that if I don't then I'm not as focused. I guess a happy medium would be nice. If it goes down each morning its such a great high, but boy if it goes up, its enough to ruin any motivation I had.

I was at a point of weighing myself about four times daily - in the morning, after each meal, and before bed. As a new years resolution, I've stopped cold turkey. Instead, I measure my waist once a week - which is the first place that I gain weight. I can keep an eye on my poundage without constantly fretting about my exact weight.

I can understand ur temptation. I feel the same way but actually my fear that it won't change actually keeps me off of it. LOL

i am just like u too, but of course my dad will say "how many times a day do u need to weigh urself?" i would tell him till i c a number that i like. then ill stop lol its like an addiction. lol Ps. i just weighed myself before logging on here, im soo horrible. lol
