Since my bf and I first started dating I've gained about 15 lbs! He says I'm beautiful and don't need to lose a thing (did I mention I love this man?) but I'm doing this for me and my goal is to lost 12 lbs by Feb 14. I started at 223 on Jan 1 (gained all the weight back I had worked so hard to lose last year!) but this puts fuel in the fire to do this. I'm training to run my 2nd half marathon on March 22 so my cardiac days will be running 3-4 days a week, with some serious strength training on the alternating days. I've already lost 8 this week by counting my calories so I know that my changes will work well and I won't expect to lose 8 every week, that was just my jump starting
I'd love to be back around 170 by valentines day. I didn't look all that different at 170 than I do at 180, but for whatever reason I felt better. I actually have someone to spend valentine's day with this year, so it'd be nice to buy some hot pjs and feel sexy for the night.
But of course I'm sick, so exercising will have to wait another day or so. Hopefully I'll feel better by then and can get my butt in gear.
I think I'll join in the 5-8 by V-day. My husband's birthday is only two days later, so this is a good time to have a goal. Yay I'm getting so motivated!

Wow I just realized how many times I've seen the phrase, "I've gained x pounds since my boyfriend and I started dating," and I'm in the SAME boat! As of last weekend I was 14 lbs. heavier than when we started dating almost a year and a half ago. When I meet my Valentine's Day goal I will only be 1 lb. heavier... so about the same! I felt so much better in the 160's... gosh I'm so excited!
Valentine's day is a great date to have a goal set for. I would like to... no I WILL be 160 (possible less) by February 14th. I've been doing quite well lately with 2 pound losses each week, so cross my fingers I can keep it up! Good luck to everyone!
It's funny everyone is talking about 8 pounds because that will put me at my 10% goal in WW, so I was thinking the same thing! I have a knee injury so haven't been able to work out. I'm hoping and praying it heals quickly because I REALLY want to start working out again, not just for the physical effects, but for the mental effects. So these 8 pounds will be more difficult to lose relying only on diet, but I will try to make it work!
Alrighty then, 8 pounds it is. That will put me at 144. Yikes!

I'm doing pretty good this week so far!! I forgot to weigh in this week. Over the weekend I ate really off plan, but I've gotten back on track, and I've signed up for kickboxing classes. Yay!
I think I may join in on this challange, too. I'd like to be under 140 by v-day. 4.5 pounds would put me there. I'm also going to challange myself to work out atleast three times a week, prefferably 5, though that might be difficult with school starting up.
I think this is an awesome idea.
