So many great examples have already been posted! But I have another one, not someone whose body I want as my "goal" body or anything, but a woman who is a gorgeous, rockin' example of what a plus-sized woman can look like!
Let me start with saying that I had the strangest thing happen this morning. I was standing in front of my bathroom mirror in the buff, checking myself out (as I do almost every morning before getting into the shower, LOL!), and something about my body looked "familiar"--like I had seen someone's body, somewhere, that my body now reminds me of. It was just like, the way I was standing, or something, suddenly made me think, "Hey! I've seen this before!" It took me the loooongest time before I could think of it, but I finally realized that I was reminding myself of a picture that was on cycle 8 of America's Next Top Model. (Yes, I am COMPLETELY OBSESSED with that show! Haha!)

Isn't she SO pretty? It's really weird; I look at that picture now and think, yeah, I almost-kinda-sorta look like that now! Though of course I don't have a model's proportions (um, she's 6'1"!) or such good skin or anything like that, and god knows my arms are about 3 times the size of hers, but I like that you can see that she actually has a stomach and boobs and other womanly features that a lot of models lack... Cuz I have those, too! Lol. For a "plus-size" model, I'd say her body is just about as good as it gets. If I'm not meant to be a size 6 or 8 or whatever, I don't think I'd mind looking like her at all!

Who coins these terms anyway? I mean, b/c she has boobs and (gasp!) body fat she has to be deemed plus size? I'd like to see the size of these people who are doin the labeling here!
^ Oh, I KNOW, that's why I put it in quotes, LOL. In the modeling industry (and likewise, on ANTM), "plus-size" is size 10 and up--ridiculous! To me, size 10 is pretty d*mn thin! Where does the plus-size section start is most regular stores, like size 14 and up or something? That's slightly more reasonable to me. Though, I currently wear a 12, and I don't feel like I'm quite average-sized yet, so who knows? But of course, that's a whole other discussion, hah.
^ I totally agree. I just hate how if your ribs don't show you aren't "pretty". Grrrrr You are right, that is another WHOLE discussion. Kudos to finding a more lifelike model!
Oh I remember that ANTM girl, she was beautiful! I thought it was hilarious that they called her a plus size back then, but maybe it was actually tragic in hindsight.
I just can't stop! Do you remember when those photos of Mena Suvari on a beach showed up on celebrity gossip sites? I never thought she'd have curves (i.e. an a**) like that but she looked *hot*!
Ooo, I love Marilyn, Alecia (Pink), and Gwen! I saw a pic of Gwen after she had Kingston, she had some little stretch marks! It proved that she is human and can be absolutely beautiful with some flaws. (I hope that makes sense and you know what I mean! I couldn't think of a better way to write it!)
I just found out that Pink was born in PA! Sorry, that is pretty cool to me She was only about 100 miles away from us!
The girls from ANTM don't look "plus size" at all! It is disturbing to consider size 10+ plus size!! I was so thin when I wore size 10 and 12! I can't wait to get back into a 10 and I really don't need to go less than that. I wore mediums and looked great, I felt prettier at that size. It is awful to think I might still be considered plus size at such a small size!
I will still feel great though, no matter what other people may say!
I'm actually laughing at those "plus size" models. Plus size my BUM. Now dress me me up in those same clothes and you can call that a plus size model. Society's a joke.

I could care less about Carey, but MY GOD... look at her hips! I love those indentations... I would kill to have them. Probably unrealistic, but dannnnnggggg!
