My absolute FAVORITE black cocktail dress doesn't fit anymore. Note my pouty face, and I apologize for the mess behind me, my husband sent home all of his stupid gear and i'm trying to make room for it in the closet. It's a size 10, jersey, and the most fantastic dress on the planet. Anybody wanna give it a good home?

The second is my new goin' out dress which I can wear now because I don't have any backfat and my bootay and legs are to die for. I didn't know that I didn't have any cellulite on my thighs until I just took that pic. YAY

I just have to say, what a great thread! You all look FANTASTIC and it's really inspiring!



This is a dress that I bought earlier on this year, in the summertime. I took this photo on my mobile phone when I was trying to decide whether or not to buy it! I've lost over 10lbs since then and I think it looks nicer now.

Anyway, it makes me happy for a couple of reasons. The first is that when I was at my heaviest weight a couple of years ago, I would have never dreamt about even trying something like this on. I feel so much more confident now and buying this dress was an example of that. The other thing is that it's a UK size 14, bought from a shop I always thought of as a "thin" shop - and it's one of the first things I bought in a UK 14 too. I immediately gravitated towards the size 16 to try it on (the biggest size in the store), and it felt fantastic when it was too big for me! (Sorry I don't know what size this is in US sizing - if anyone can tell me, I'd really appreciate it, as different sources on the internet seem to tell me different things, and I don't know what to believe!)

Tiny - I LOVE that dress! You look so cute in it too! I've got what I affectionately term as 'ham arms' (big biceps) so I can't ever wear cute ruffly sleeves, or sleeveless for that matter.

Leighish - I would have said you were a 10, you def don't look like a 14. Love that color on you!

Kisskiss - I'm so jealous, you look beautiful in that dress! If I put on pink I *turn* pink. It took me years to figure out why every time I wore it people would ask me if I was hot, or if I had a fever.

Chele - LOL! I know you were posting to show the sweatshirt but the first thing I thought was, "she needs new trousers, those are two sizes too big." I have never heard of Lululemon, but I might have to look into it now because I love that color.

Jelbb - You know I think you're adorable no matter what, but the clear winner in your pics is dress 2, you have the best shape and brown looks great on you.

NshKitten....haha!!! Yes, those pants are too big!!! I should take a picture of my black dress pants that I still wear to school on a semi-regular basis that are about 3-4 sizes too big and I can effectively swish off without even touching the zipper or buttons

For those who have never heard of it, Lululemon is a yoga clothing company based out of Canada. I don't really know why or how it's made it's way into the states, but there are three or four in Massachusetts alone, and a bunch throughout the country as well. It's actually in the "ritzy" wing at my local mall....next to Nordstrom's and Betsey Johnson and Anthropologie. A couple of my Canadian friends had Lululemon hoodies for a couple years now and I have always envied them because they felt so soft and warm!!! I am still on a massive hunt for a pretty gray one. The gray one they had in the store was ugly....haha. They also had a pretty teal color. I want to buy like 4 of them, now that I know they fit! haha

I'm hoping for lots of gift cards for Christmas to buy new pants! haha

Yay!!! I had one today!! Went to Kohl's to look at boots, and looked at jeans first. I got brave & tried some 12's on just for sh%$s & grins & woooo!!! They fit!! So, I wanted to share.
