Just walked the dog and had lunch. According to TDP, I'm at 600 calories for the day, on pace!

Tuesday
Breakfast: 2 eggs, coffee and grapefruit
Lunch: 1 cup of bean and veggie soup, romaine salad
Snacks: clementine (x2), string cheese, 1 cup soup
Dinner: "dirty" rice (brown rice, ground turkey, onion and tomato), steamed broccoli

I snuck in some Nerds today, but counted it. I tracked everything on the Daily Plate and am getting a good refresher course on appropriate protion sizes. Including the nerds, I came in just under 1350. I'm trying to stay between 1250-1450. The nerds completely shot my sugar intake through the roof, though, so I'm going to watch it tomorrow.

And I exceeded my water goal by 30 ounces (100 for the day).

I just got back from the gym after not going for a few weeks and I am JIGGLY. Especially in my belly, so I'm going to incorperate some HIIT.

Tomorrow: 64 oz of water, a HIIT session, and no sugar.
How'd everyone do?

Monday:
Breakfast: Banana and fiber one bar
Lunch: 1 pack tuna with s&p
Snack: Apple and fiber one bar
Dinner: Cajun chicken fingers, steamed broccoli and roasted sweet potatoes with olive oil and s&p.
Dessert: Fat free sugar free chocolate pudding and one small lemon bar.
Daily Total = 1,333

Today was a good day. I was pretty motivated since Monday is my weigh day and I lost weight. I did have the lemon bar that my b/f brought home from work but it was small and I counted it into my calories. I also had 2 fiber one bars which I do not usually do but I grabbed one for breakfast and was craving one for snack too. I have drank my 64oz of water for the day and exercised 30 minutes today. I did my sweatin' to the oldies which is cheesy but I totally love

So Monday is (almost) over. How did everyone do?

As you can see on my tracker-chart, I came in at 16 dots (16 or less was my goal), did my C25K W2D2 run, and drank a full 64 oz. of water plus 12 oz. of herbal tea! I can say that today was a complete success! Now, off to shower and to bed, to sleep the sleep of the just.

I was so encouraged by yesterday so I feel like today is going to be even better (read: No sugar- the Nerds are g.o.n.e.)

Judging by your reports, we are rocking this challenge!

Hey everyone, glad to see all's well. Well Monday's done, stuck to plan, got in my workout and drank my water! For today I have already done my cardio, I may stay late and do a 20 min treadmill workout tonight as long as it's not snowing (my drive is already long to work, so snow makes it take forever!)
Here's the plan for today

Tuesday
Cardio
At least 64 oz. water

B- Egg sandwich (egg whites, gimme lean 'sausage', cheese, hot sauce, ezekial bread, tomato and lettuce), 1 cutie, coffee w/ half & half
23 oz. water
L- 1 can tuna mixed w/ 1 T. mayo, diced onion, celery, carrot over 3-4 cups baby romaine lettuce, 1/2 oikos honey greek yogurt cup mixed w/ 1/2 c. cottage cheese and ground flaxseed
23 oz. water
S- 4 oz. chicken breast and edamame, 2 late july chocolate cookies
23 oz. water

Total Daily Calories- 1522 according to dailyplate

Have a great day ladies!

That's great Paula, every little bit is better than doing nothing. Stick to the challenge and keep going - onward and downward, as it were!

If you're cold and are really craving the warm food rather than any particular food, might I recommend drinking hot chicken broth or hot tea? Both have been great for me to fend off the "But I'm coooold!" reasoning that urges me to eat stuff I know I shouldn't. Or you could do a nice hot soup or stew for a meal instead of whatever else you'd planned, so long as it's in your calories. I find that a can of cream of mushroom soup, made with 1% milk, makes for a nice warm 300(ish)-calorie meal that makes me feel like I've taken good care of myself on cold days.

I'm having a harder time working through the water today than yesterday; probably the dearth of errands to run, since those errands got me through 20 oz. in like two hours yesterday morning. Maybe I should set a one-oz. minimum drink every time I refresh my Twitter or RSS reader?

Bleh, it's raining out. I'm not going to want to go to the gym tonight...but on the good side, fewer people traipse out to the gym at midnight in the rain, so I'll have the place to myself for sure.

How's everyone's Tuesday going so far?

I made a huge pot of veggie and bean soup in anticipation of some winter weather this week and it's warm and filling and keeps me going through the afternoon. I've even incoperated a cup as a snack.

There are definitely plenty of great ways to eat hearty and healthy during the winter!
