Default Awards for making goal

Okay so I don't know what I should do to reward myself. I think I should put rewards in place once I meet certain goals but I just don't know what to reward myself with. I kinda think in the back of my mind I can have it if I really want it I don't need to make a goal I will just go get it or buy it or whatever ya know.

What do you reward yourselves with when you meet a goal?

My goal for when I hit onederland is a purse from Sears Essentials. It's shiny and purple and I fell in love with it when I saw it last week in the store. So I decided that would be my next reward!

I usually reward myself with new audiobooks or clothes.

When I'm at goal weight I'm going to reward myself by getting my ears pierced. I never had any earrings before but I think they would suit me. I actually got the idea because I saw at the Alternachicks board that many people celebrate their weight loss with a tattoo. But those are not really my style.

When I reach 10% of total SW loss I am going to get a new charm bracelet and then each time I meet a new goal I will get a new charm. I am hoping that when I wear it each day it will remind me of how far I have come with my weight and new healthy lifestyle.

Clothes! Shoes! Handbags! New Cosmetics! More Itunes for my IPOD! The possibilities are endless!

ETA: I read that some reward with cakes, donuts and such. I give this a big NO THANK YOU. I don't crave these things if I am not eating them. Doing so sets me up for failure.

I totally agree with you, Thighs Be Gone. I have rewarded myself with food for way too long. I need to disconnect those two things in my brain. Thinking of better rewards for losing weight is a nice start.

Kayhm, if you tend to buy things for yourself when you want them, why don't you try to think of rewards that work a little differently? For example activities that you really like, but usually don't do because they take time or effort (a visit to a sauna springs to mind, but I'm sure you can think of other things... amusement parks maybe, getting your hair done, visiting a beauty specialist, a massage). Or you could plan a day with a friend to do something together.

sh315: Yeah- that's a HUGE weight loss, you deserve something huge.

A treadmill is a GREAT idea, or an elliptical (I love that thing!) - for your ultimate goal.

Kayhm0711 Maybe a full body massage? Something that just makes your whole body feel good for working so hard!

I've always been the type that didn't feel accomplished until the task was done or the goal was met. I've comteplated getting in on this whole mini-goal idea to help my mind realize that even though I"m not at my goal weight I'm still doing something great for myself. I've always said buying clothes would be my goal reward, because first off I'll need them and second off I love fashion and shopping. Dangit, I'm too freakin logical.

When I hit my goal, I'm getting a whole new wardrobe because I'll definitely need one =P Hmm.. but since the wardrobe is going to be more of a necessity, I suppose I should think of another official reward.. haha.
It's a given I'll get new shoes, clothes, and makeup. Maybe I'll get a pendant set to remind me of the weight I've lost? I'm not into tattoos either or piercings.. maybe a new pair of designer glasses. I haven't changed my frame in a while and I'd love to get a really killer pair.

Sigh. Clothes. My sense of style seems to have disappear when I put on weight. I need a whole new wardrobe. My clothes now are downright ugly.
