Default Help please, not losing

So I feel like I am doing everything right, and I still am not losing weight. I track my food at spark people, and stay within the 1200-1550 calorie range they set for me. I do the 30DS everyday and get my heart rate to 150-160. I drink at least 70 oz of water a day, usually more, and limit my sodium to 1500mg. I did notice I wasn't getting enough fiber, so I am adding more in.

I eat fairly clean, an average breakfast has been a Jillian Michaels recipe, lunch and dinner chicken bell pepper onion over 1/2 cup rice with fruits and veggies for snack and some organic natural peanut butter for added protein and fat. On an average day I have 126 g carbs, 35-40 fat and 80-90 g protein.

I did lose 6.5 inches my first 10 days on the shred, and 1 more since I started level 2 but only one lb in 2.5 weeks. I am having a hard time staying motivated. The initial inches lost helped but now that that is slowing there really aren't any positive changes to push me forward.

Advice is needed badly, suggestions on what I can do differently what you are doing that works etc. PLEASE!

I get really frustrated when I don't see postive results, too. Don't worry, stick to it -hard as it may be - and the weight will come off. Try to increase your lean protein intake. If you don't like meat they have whey protein drinks at GNC. Increase your water intake to 4 liters a day and your excercise to 45 mins. It will come off.
Are you drinking alcohol? That is pure sugar that people overlook.

Duch- I totally understand! I'm known for losing a whole lot of inches and very little weight. At the end of the day, I would rather have lost inches than weight. I've gone from a 22 to some 16's in 4 1/2 months but only 30 pounds. It's completely backwards to most people but that's ok. I'm sure it will even out in the end, or I'll be size 12 that ways over 250 pounds! lol

It seems that you are doing everything right. Are you sure that you are measuring your calorie intake correctly? Do you have a food scale? I think that was biggest thing, I would under estimate.

As long as you are losing inches, you are still losing! I think the scale lies anyways, so keep up the good work.

Hey honey!
I know some people don't consider a week or two a "plateau," but... I do. Anytime your body stops losing and starts maintaining despite eating as fantastically perfect as you are... I see that as a plateau.

5 Ways To Break a Plateau

After a little over a week of not losing anything, despite having started going to the gym more, and eating really "according to plan," I got frustrated. (I know, I'm spoiled.) So, I tried zig-zagging my calories... to be honest, I don't think I kept the same number of calories, lol. I just indulged in a small treat of a small McDonald's french fry, and ate a little big bigger portion of my foods the one day, and the next thing I knew, I was losing again.

Good luck honey, I have faith in you. Don't give up, I know it's stressful to have the scale stop.

I think this might be part of the problem.

You've seen a lot of amazing changes and now that you're not seeing these fantastic-over-the-top changes, you're losing motivation. You're going to have to move past "motivation" as the reason to continue being healthy and working out.

I look at it this way. I love my guy. Most days I adore him and I can't wait to see him and I'm all about the sex, baby. But some days he's grumpy, I'm grumpy, we have an argument, something. I'm not in the mood, he's not in the mood, whatever. But I'm not going to leave him just because we're not having wild monkey sex hanging from the chandelier! I take the lows with the highs.

Living a healthy lifestyle and losing weight is the same. It's not always sweetness and light and dropping pounds and inches. Sometimes there are stalls. Sometimes your body needs a week or so to catch up. Sometimes your period kicks in and says "I don't care what you eat - RETAIN WATER!!!". And sometimes it's just ... I dunno .. Jupiter in retrograde or something.

But you can't rely on "motivation" to keep going. You have to rely on commitment. I'm committed to my guy. I'm committed to my job. And I'm committed to living a healthy lifestyle. Some days I'm more motivated to do any of the above ... some days I'm less. But quitting any of them is not an option.

PhotoChick said it well. The motivation is what gets you started, after that its all a commitment.
How long have you been working out? Unlike everyone else in the world it seems, whenever i first start working out and eating super healthy, i don't lose weight. In fact, it takes about a month or so of all the hard work to show up on the scale. It's very un-motivating but i am sticking with it. I try and remember that losing weight is only one of my goals. I am trying to be healthier. Eating right, working out, both of those things are changing your body from the inside. It might just take a little longer for the results to show up on the outside.

im not saying that this is happening to you or will happen to you, but when i started eating better and exercising to lose weight, my body sort of freaked out a little bit and held on to a lot of water. i think i actually gained a few pounds in my first few weeks. it adjusted after that. bodies are just weird, but if you are doing everything right, you will lose.

progress does tend to move us forward... i think i just avoided the scale for like 3 weeks and kept it up without worry of having to measure my results, and then when i finally did, i had lost. and then going forward i only weighed and measured once a month so i was motivated more by the progress i was making in clothes and appearance rather than scale and numbers. this is just what i liked to do.
