I hope Ace comes back!! I'm addicted to 3fc, I can't leave! I feel like dealing with my diet and the fact I am trying to lose weight everyday keeps me in check and on track. I can't tell you the last time I sucessfully dieted for this long, and its only been a month, and I really think I owe it all to 3fc!

So how are we all going to deal with Thanksgiving, and what are all of your plans? Doing the extended family thing, or just staying home with immediate family?

Sorry, I don't know why I haven't been around. I guess I was just offended because you guys didn't actually vote for the banner, so mine never had a chance. I know it was silly and childish to take offense to that...

I've been eating healthy still, and exercising, except for the last two days. I'm still only 312. I don't feel like it's going fast enough:(

Ace: I'm so glad to see you back! :hug:Don't take offense about the banner, I'm sorry I didn't really think of voting because I can't even have a banner yet so I figured it didn't matter. It is a really cool one though! I think they might've just picked the first one that was shown? I have no idea, but I am sorry for not thinking about voting. Don't worry if you are stuck at a certain weight. It will come off eventually! Just making the change to eat better and exercise is a HUGE step!! :carrot: Maybe you might want to try a calorie counter? Fitday.com, myfitnesspal.com, dailyplate, etc. There are tons out there!! I know I thought I was eating pretty well, but I was taking in too many calories. Using these logs really helped me, maybe it will help you too. Also, remember, if you want to lose a lb a week take out 500 calories. If you want to lose 2 lbs per week, take out 1000 calories. That is pretty much as low as you should go. I use www.myfitnesspal.com. It does the math for you. Just tell it what you weigh, what your activity level is and how many pounds a week you want to lose. It is easy.;) I really hope you do well with your goal, not just for this challenge, but most importantly, for you! You seem like a really nice person with a great personality. Also, you look like a model in your pics!! Good luck and stay with us!!:D

thanks:) I did the calorie calculator and it said 2, 500, my problem is the calorie counting part. Because most of what I eat is home cooked meals I don't know how to count the calories in it, and it seems really hard. I just wish I could wake up a year later and see how all my work will have paid off. It's hard to see the light at the end of the tunnel you know...

ace I'm glad you're back! Sorry about the banner. I didn't think about it. I just pressumed that people had voted because I came on one day and that's what they were using! We could still vote on it if you want? Try not to get discouraged. I'm calorie counting as well and it is hard, especially if you're not eat alone and at home. When I'm out and I eat I haven't a clue how many calories are in it. Your best bet is to guess the best you can. How long have you been at this? It'll take some time to see serious results, but when you do it is so worth it.

Ace you're back!! Sorry about the banner. I didn't think to vote either because I liked them all and didn't care what you guys picked. But I'm glad you're back and still eating healthy!! I've only started my journey 3 weeks ago and I'm down 16lbs and still can't see the difference AT ALL. So I know how you feel. Don't get discouraged though. We can cheer each other on and soon we will be able to see what all our hard work was for!

I know exactly how you feel! I hit my 20 pound mark last week and I feel like I look exactly the same. I mean, I know that it's not a huuuuge weight loss, but I just really wanted it to be just a little bit more noticable.

Yay!! Congrats!! I wish I was that lucky.

Thanksgiving kicked my butt. Thanksgiving morning I weighed myself with clothes on and I was 225. Down from my weigh in Sunday of 226, and that was w/out clothes. So I really tried not to indulge yesterday and I don't think I did THAT bad. But this morning I was back up to 228 with clothes :( Hopefully its water weight!

well I was kind of dissapointed that after a week, i hadn't lost any weight, then the very next day I miraculously dropped two lbs... so yeh I bet tomorrow or the next you'll be less:P I'm kind of glad i didn't have to do the whole thanksgiving thing... living in canada it was a while ago:P

I JUST GOT A JOB, finally. I had been job hunting for a while... and I finally got one. They called me up and ask if I was still interested in working there, and I said yes, and she asked me what my school hours are, and I said 8:30 - 12:30 and she said, when are you available to start and I said as soon as possible, and
she said can you start today? and i said yes, and she said okay see you at 5:30

AND THAT is how you get things handed to you.

well just be happy it was smooth for as long as it was! But even smooth roads get bumps after a while:)

My job is like a workout. I basically did a 5 hour walk/fast walk. I had to put all the "neverminds" and "changed my minds" back on the shelves, there was 12 isls or 13 and I didn't know where ANYTHING belongs, it being my first shift. So for the whole time i was going back and forth back and forth... ahaha my feet, back, and legs hurts, and even my arms got a workout because i was carrying heavy baskets of stuff the whole time. BAH. lol

Ace- Congrats on the job and about the loss!

QTestRDH- I can sympathise! I had AF this week as well! I felt really down about it as well! But it's just temporary, it'll go and if you don't lose this week you'll probably lose extra next week!

As for me, I'm really sick at the moment. I've had the flu for 3 days and I'm miserable. I can't work out because I can barely move. It feels like I pulled all the muscles in my body. Ick. It also makes me not want to be aware of everything I eat. But at the same time I don't have much of an appitite. So who knows. I might have lost this week! Anyway, I'm gonna go. I feel awful:(

Aww Maddie. I hope you feel better soon! A friend of mine has something similar. She said she thought she broke a rib coughing so hard and all her muscles hurt too! Hopefully it will pass and you'll be good as new! Take it easy and don't even worry about exercising.

just checking in to say i'm sorry about being MIA for the past week---but i'm back and will be caught up on the whole forum readings by monday---

on a side note--- today i weighed in at 153.6 so even though i have been sick for the past few days and on TOM and havent exercised in a whole week i'm at least down some--- lets see what else--- oh i did calorie counting and i'm averaging about 1800 or so a day but i did it for three days and then thanskgiving hit and then i didnt do it for the past two days either---but i bet i could go back and fill in those days as best i can --

Hey everyone! Just stopping by to give an update. I haven't been around the forums for a few days due to Thanksgiving and work. I haven't exercise in 3 days, but starting tomorrow I'm going to be back on plan. On Thanksgiving I worked an 8 hour shift then had some dinner with my family in which I am very proud of myself. I stuck ONLY to the turkey and steamed vegetables. No sides like stuffing or gravy, anything. No rolls with butter. I must say though, it wasn't very hard. I only had the TINIEST piece of apple pie you could imagine, it was more of a taste than anything.

The next day, Black Friday, I was out and shopping by 6am. I didn't eat breakfast which sucked but for lunch I had a chicken wrap with lettuce tomatoes and avocado with VERY little bbq sauce just for some moisture lol. For dinner I had a bowl of cereal and that was it. I barely ate at all on Friday. Saturday I ate well also, cheerios for breakfast, an apple and some cheese for a snack, a salad for lunch, another apple for a snack, and chicken and veggies for dinner.

Overall I am so proud of myself. I didn't gorge in food and stuff my face. It was much easier than I had previously thought. I only wish that I had ate more. I barely ate at all on Friday. So for my weigh in on Monday I will most likely be the same weight from last week since it is also my TOM and I was bloated all week. Plus I was sick from Sunday to Friday.

How has everyone else been this week? I feel like I have been gone for forever. LOL.

Great job Shauna!!! I wish I could say I ate less on Thanksgiving. But I did ok. I hyperventilated because Friday night the scale said I was up 5lbs!!! 5lbs!! But when I checked my weight the next day w/out clothes like I usually do, I was only up .5lb from last week. And today I'm down .5lb so its looking like I might have lost a little or stayed the same. But either way, I made it through my first holiday and didn't gain!!

As for me....still sick but I'm a tiny bit better today. I've had since thursday and I'm a little frustrated that it wont go away!!! I was feeling ok last night so I did exercise! Indoors, as its 0 degrees here...or 32 degrees in farenheit! (sp?!) I got the power sculpt dvd so I wanted to start it. It was ok. A little tought but I like that it wasn't too long!

Anyway! I've lost about 5 lbs this week! Which is really exciting! I think its just because of AF. I'm not entirely sure because my new scales says I'm 8lbs down since last week but my old one says I'm 5lbs down. Anyhow I'll just go by the old scales for this because that's what I started with!

Anyhow I need to go write 4 essays and study! Exams in 2 weeks...EEEKKK!

I'm kind of having the same problem, I was doing really well with staying away from the junk food but when i counted my calories and found out I wasn't eating enough, I figure eating the junk is okay to lift the calories a bit higher...

the food count for that day you listed above looks great-- ACE--- but i didnt see any fruit --- I know with me i wasnt eating fruit at all and then when i added in fruit i started to lose a bit easier --- and 1900 cal. for you is great --- but dont shoot for anything less than that with your current weight----you should be losing just fine as it is---

as for me i havent counted cals in about 3-4 days--- definetly doing it tomorrow and i recently purchased one of those diet/workout journals off amazon and i have a calorie king book that i carry around in my purse now ---so i have no excuse whatsoever---and most of all --i need to get my butt moving again---so tomorrow i'm shooting for an hour long workout ---that would put me at a week straight that i havent worked out--- and the longer i go with this the easier it is to put it off---so no more--- i'm doing it tomorrow and keeping at it--i think i'm going to do jillian micheals winning by losing --- somehow she gets to me that i just cant go a day without doing her workouts --- so ya i need jillian back in my life-- and week 5 of the biggest loser--



alright stats---so even though i havent worked out i'm down to 153.6 as of this morning ---so if i miss the weigh in tomorrow use this weight --- so that means i'm down about a lb ---

so where have i been the past few days--- i spent thanksgiving at my parents and did great--- i didnt eat bad at all and i didnt eat the veggies cause they were literally soaked in oil--- ate some turkey and a little mashed potatoes and gravy--- and just a handful of rice--- overall i think i did really well---usually i'll go for like 2 or 3 platefulls instead this time i barely filled my plate and then only refilled about a quarter of the plate ---so overall i did well with that----

oh and best of all i made turkey breast stuffed with mushrooms and spinach that was in a weight watchers recipe and it was a hit everyone loved it and they didnt even mind that it was a healthy recipe--- but the desert that i made out of that cookbook was not a hit nobody liked it ---but i thought it came out just fine--- kind of like it needed coffee or hot chocolate next to it--- so ya they made fun of me for that cake ---lol---oh well--- i liked it even though it took like forever to make----

then thursday/friday/and saturday i spent the day(s) out shopping so even though i didnt work out i got a lot of exercise walking around and waiting in long lines-- and best of all i barely ate much so i didnt eat any more junk and best of all --i didnt have to take any of the leftover thanksgiving dinner home---

alright this entry has gotten pretty long--- so i'll just end it by saying i'm glad we all did so well this week and we're doing amazingly great---keep it up everyone--

I usually do eat 1 or 2 apples a day, It's most likely because It was on saturday, and my apple intake is usually at school so I can avoid going to our "cafeteria" for anything else.

Sorry everyone, I definitely was MIA this week. It was a long week! Wednesday, I had a sick baby. We went to the dr's for 2 hrs, he had to get blood taken and shots, cultures...then we had to go to another office to get an x-ray of his tummy!:( All that to just find out that he has a sensitivity toward milk so now he is on soy formula. He's feeling much better!
Thanksgiving wasn't too bad. My husband and I made it here at home so we were in charge of what fats we included. I even made fruit salad and regular green salad. For supper we did go to his parents for leftovers. I didn't eat too much there. I did have a piece of pumpkin pie that made me sick the whole night.
Then my older son was sick with the stomach bug. He was throwing up and just was out of sorts. He laid around all day and didn't eat anything. I got some pedialyte but he gave me such a hard time to drink it. Got the freezepops too but they took all day to even freeze!!
All in all, this week has been pretty awful. I haven't worked out since Wednesday, didn't keep track of my calorie intake since Thursday. :(

So, I gained a lb...I'm really bummed out about that. This week I need to get back on it and lose some weight!! As least my kids are feeling better now!
