jmb1981 11-22-2008 03:16 PM

hello all! how's the weekend going so far? mine is relaxing for once, nothing planned that i HAVE to do! hasn't happened in a long time! feels good! my daughter slept in this morning (usually she's up no later than 7) until 8. we all got up and my hubby fixed breakfast for him and reagan while i walked 4 miles with leslie. i thought about trying to do 30ds right after, but i was a little tired and sore (especially after doing it yesterday) so i decided to wait. i ate my breakfast. i was craving chocolate special k. it hit the spot! my husband had to work and daughter and i headed to town to run some errands. when we got home i fixed her lunch and she ate while i did my second day of 30ds. wow! got through more of it today, it hurt so good! :) now i am waiting for hubby to return home. i think reagan and i are going to have to make a second trip to town b/c of some changed plans (hubby was supposed to get home earlier b/c i was supposed to work, that's not happening so now i need to go get some dinner stuff so we don't end up with pizza). anyhow, it just feels nice to have some down time. i think reagan and i might pull out our christmas decorations tonight (i know it's not even thanksgiving yet, but if we don't do it this weekend we won't get it done for a while and i LOVE christmas and the lights and decorations and everything about it).

elwing: cycling through the snow to swim shows some hard core dedication! congrats on the scale victory, see dedication pays off! i am so ready to do some shopping. i'm not ready to buy clothes for me yet, but i am ready to get some christmas shopping done. i love buying gifts!

anti222: seeing a lower number on the scale is definitely a big motivation! i know it keeps me going. sometimes i just picture the number in my head and it's all i need to not make an unhealthy food choice or to keep going with the exercise!

jessie: i like the school analogy. i am a competitive person and i was the same way in school. i always wanted to get the highest grade and beat everybody else. guess now that i no longer have school i am funneling that energy to weight loss!

so this 30ds is kicking my butt! so glad that i decided to get it early and start early! i am sore right now, my legs especially! i'm excited to do it again tomorrow! i took my measurements yesterday (maybe i have already said that?) and can't wait to see what they are in 30 days!

we've done awesome all week, let's finish the weekend strong!! oh, i weighed myself again today (i'm addicted to the scale, not good) and it was 292, 3lbs down from monday!

jmb1981 11-23-2008 08:38 AM

it's 8:30. i am trying to talk myself into exercising. i know it will make me feel good. i know i will regret it if i don't exercise. i'm just not feeling it right now. i'm debating if i really want to walk with leslie today. i will do 30ds. the scale was back up .5lbs. darn the daily fluctuations! tomorrow will still be less than last week so that is good. i need to exercise now. just do it and get it over with.

Elwing 11-23-2008 08:48 AM

Come on, go and exercise! You know you want to do it :)

jmb1981 11-23-2008 09:32 AM

i did, i did it! actually, i tried to do my normal thing and started with leslie, but my computer froze about 1/2 a mile into it. took me so long to talk myself into it and that happens! so i decided that instead of leslie i would just do 30ds. and i did. and it hurts everytime! i feel like i get more out of it than i do the walking. i think it is b/c i have been trained to think "if you can't feel it, it's not doing anything". which i realize is not accurate. i mean, i do get my heart rate up with leslie and i am sweating like a man by the end, but i never get that burn in my muscles like i do with 30ds. i think this evening if i have a free moment (which i am sure i will) i am going to pop 30ds in again. i love it!

Elwing 11-23-2008 10:13 AM

Yay, well done! Great willpower :)

I finished level 2 from the 30 DS again this morning but it was quite hard. But I finished the damn thing and that's what counts. I did not get around to exercising yesterday (but I have been walking while shopping for 1.5 hours or so). My friend stayed until 11 and we even went to a cafe after that. I only had 1 glass of vodka and a lot of water, and (wisely) decided to go home before they brought out the fried snacks. I don't think I could have resisted those. Today is quiet... I ate some bread, and no-fat no-sugar fruit yoghurt with muesli, and some leftovers from yesterday night (virtually only vegetables, so it should be all right). I've got a test next week so I'm studying. Pasta has been planned for tonight. It has been so long since I ate that. I bought whole-wheat biological penne for the occasion.

How are you all doing? Don't forget to post your weigh-in numbers tomorrow morning. You are all a great help, you really are

JessieCat 11-23-2008 11:10 AM

Elwing- I am glad you had fun with your friend. I am so impatient.. I hate waiting for people, esp when we have a set time to meet!
Jmb- So proud of you for doing the shred! I had to skip yesterday b/c I am so ungodly sore it is not even funny. I tried to really get in to it and not do any modified moves (except the push up!) so my quads are killing me!!!!

Well I power-walked on increasing incline on the treadmill for 38 min, then did 30DS (day 3, level 1). Honestly, I feel so fantastic afterwards. I always feel great after a workout, but even more with 30DS.

So I got my new WW scale (measures BMI, body fat, bone density, water) and it is 5 lbs more than the scale I use. That is ok. So according to my old scale, I am down about 2.5 lbs from monday. I def have TOM AGAIN!!!!!!!! which I am so not happy about so I am staying water-logged all day so TOM doesn't affect my number tomorrow!

I don't know about you, but this week feels like forever! I always feel that way though.. when I am hard-core dieting and exercising, the days feel longer for some reason. Maybe b/c I obsess about food and losing weight all day! hahaha.. well have a great sunday everyone!

Elwing 11-23-2008 02:13 PM

JessieCat: I suppose you'll just keep using your old scale for the TBL measurements? I can also edit your first weight in that post... it's no trouble at all. As long as I know what scale you use it's all right :). Your exercise sounds great! This week feels too short rather than too long for me, but that's because I'm way too busy with all kinds of school stuff. Time flies by.

It wasn't really intended but I also took a brisk walk of 30 min this afternoon. I still had to vote and had to do it by post, but it turned out that the post box had disappeared. So I walked through the neighborhood criss cross for 30 minutes to find another one. It was quite cold and fresh outside, very nice! Dinner is done already but I find myself still thinking about food all the time. I don't understand; I've eaten plenty. It's not that I'm hungry, I just have an urge to snack. Maybe it's because someone is cooking pizza and the smell is creeping under my door into my nostrils? Aaargh! I'm going to make tea.

JessieCat 11-23-2008 02:23 PM

Elwing- I am using the old scale for the challenge just to keep things easy. Thanks for inquiring! Sounds like you had a nice walk! I feel soo snacky today too! I feel like I have been drinking tea by the boat-load.. seriously every time I want to snack, I put the kettle on! haha oh well at least I am getting some antioxidants!:p

Anti222 11-23-2008 04:00 PM

Hi everyone! It's 8.50pm here and I'm about ready for bed :) It's freezing and I've put the heating on in my room and put 2 hot water bottles in my bed ready for when I get there. Guess I'm a bit of a wimp but it's gonna be soooo warm and snuggly in there that I can't wait :D

It snowed here today for the first time since last winter :carrot: It's all melted now but this morning I woke up and looked outside and there was snow everywhere! It was lovely so I got all wrapped up and went for a walk in it. I just walked to the store to get some shopping but it's about a 45 minute walk there and back so I got a bit of exercise in :) I was sweating like mad when I got back too as the bags were heavier than I'd planned and I had way too many clothes on. My boots also decided to soak up all the slush too so my feet were swimming in them by the time I got home :( It was ok though as I put up some pink and white Christmas lights to cheer myself up :D Yeah it's a little early but I was feeling soooo festive!

I've been eating ok today so hopefully tomorrows weight in should be fine :) I filled up the washer bottle on my car today and now I can't shut my bonnet properly so I have to take it to the garage tomorrow which really annoyed me. Other than that it's been a good weekend.

It's great to see you ladies are doing so well with the exercise too! Are we going to have some kind of targets to meet for next week? Just wondering :) Getting a certain amount in every day will be tricky for me as I travel quite a bit with work and have to stay at client's places sometimes but a weekly target could be possible? Just an idea though :) Happy Sunday everyone!!!

jmb1981 11-23-2008 07:32 PM

sounds like everybody had a good weekend! so ready to see how tomorrow morning goes!

i managed to get in another round with jillian this evening. i love that video! she packs so much into that 20 minutes. i have been getting better each time i do it. i think by tuesday i should be making it through level 1 with no pausing or modifications. that's my goal at least!

i'm with you on the christmas decorations anti! i actually broke out all the decorations today. put up the tree, got out my snowglobes, everything. love it! it's such a festive time of year. lifts my spirits! my daughter keeps saying that it is her tree and this is her christmas. she is going to be so much fun this christmas! it will be her first big one where she is talking and remembering and understanding. so exciting!! she thought our first snow was the greatest thing. she kept wanting to touch it and walk in it. she is funny!

anyhow, i should probably eat a little bit for dinner although it is getting late so it will be something light, maybe an apple and a dried fruit, granola, and nut mixture. that sounds good!

back to work tomorrow! another week trying to stay on plan!

Elwing 11-24-2008 01:51 AM

Monday morning weigh in: 147 lbs. Loss since last week: 3 lbs. Also, I found out why I had such an urge to snack yesterday night. For fun I started counting my calories and found out I had only eaten 1250. I thought I was right on track but I was a little off it :). So I took another slice of bread and went to bed.

Anti222 11-24-2008 02:44 AM

Morning ladies! Weigh in for Monday morning: 212 lbs. 2lbs loss :)

Well done on your 3lbs loss Elwing! That's great :D

Off to get my car fixed now, have a great day everyone!

JessieCat 11-24-2008 06:37 AM

Good morning!
SW: 128
CW: 125!!!!!
GW: 118

3 lb loss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congrats Anti and Elwing!!!!!!!!!:carrot::carrot::carrot:

jmb1981 11-24-2008 07:48 AM

good morning all! congrats on the weight loss! i am down to 293, up one from friday, but down 2 for the week. i think tom is right around the corner. not sure what else could have happened, stayed on plan and exercised. i'm happy though, it's another 2lbs i will never see again! again congrats to all! starting another week!!

jmb1981 11-24-2008 09:44 AM

this weekend i was doing some thinking about my weight loss and the goals i have for myself. right now i feel like maybe i want to focus on just getting to 199. then i can see where my body is at and see how much further i want to go. so i am changing my goal (is that allowed?) to 199 for my final weight. at that point i will stop and re-evaluate.

Elwing 11-24-2008 10:23 AM

I don't know if it's allowed... I think it is more practical if we do not change our goal weight during the challenge. I mean, of course you can decide whatever you want according to your goal weight, apart from any challenge. But the calculations become a bit complicated if everyone does this. Do you mind very much if for challenge purposes I keep using your old goal weight?

Also, I saw that spikedpunch has not posted here since 19 november and hasn't posted anywhere else either. I'm going to post our team's weight without her data, I don't think it's very likely she'll show up in time for the weigh in (and if she does I can always edit).

We're equaling a nice 2.5 lbs loss per person this week girls! Way to go :). I believe (but I can be wrong) because Jessie and I are quite close to our goal weight such a weight loss counts even more for challenge purposes.

Today... learning, because of test tomorrow. I'm going to aquarobics again tonight, hoping not to half-drown this time. I forgot to reply, but the purpose of the exercises of last week was not to put your head under the water. I couldn't do them without going under though. And I wasn't the only one :) I hope it'll be better today. I'm going to eat something new tonight: couscous! I'll keep you tuned on how it tasted.

Stay strong, and speak to you soon! I'll be posting our numbers for the week now.

jmb1981 11-24-2008 12:21 PM

it's fine to keep my goal weight the same for the challenge. i've got no problem with that!

i do seem to have a problem today though. i've been doing ww since the end of september and have been pretty good staying on plan, especially during the week. today it is cold and rainy and i'm just blah. so, co-worker wants me to go with her to rosthchild's (a local place with sauces and dips and crackers and pretzels and all sorts of goodies) to get some stuff for thursday and then we are going to get lunch (subway). at rosthchild's they have samples out, so i was sampling, not too much, but probably more than i needed to. i'm going to say about 5 points worth (that's probably a bit high, but it's what i am going with). then we go to subway and they have these new flatbread sandwiches. they don't have the nutritional info., but the guy said there is nothing fat free or even low fat about them. it's chicken, provolone, spinach/artichoke dip (1oz), and veggies. he said the flatbread alone is 250 cal. not sure how many points total, but i am guessing it's b/t 10-13. then i had a macadamia nut cookie on top! what is my problem!!! the whole time i was thinking, i shouldn't be eating this, but i just kept going. and the sandwich wasn't the greatest (not worth the points) and the cookie was old. so i'm going to get my head back up and we are going to have taco's made w/ turkey meat tonight, i will just have a taco salad, no chips, no tortilla. jillian and leslie better be ready, it's on tonight!

Elwing 11-24-2008 02:35 PM

Motivational thingy: I believe we have made one of the best losses of all teams last week. We can be proud of ourselves! Jelbb is probably going to make a pretty graph one of these days but still. It was an awesome week (but I, for one, don't believe I will keep losing 3 lbs every week :D).

Me is back from aquarobics and it was great. Sometimes I feel like I'm not really pushing it there but it was definitely hard this time. I believe I was one of the most enthusiastic people, which felt great. I also solved the riddle of those exercises that made me go under last week. We did them again but this time with the support thingies around our arms instead of legs. That... made it so much easier to keep balance and not swallow of breathe water. The teacher also thought of this exercise where we actually had to put our head into the water. It was insane :). I suspect him of finding it fun to make us look silly. He always only picks the odd moves when people are watching, and then he has this exercise that creates very big waves because everyone is doing the same thing at the same time. If his smile got any bigger during that exercise his face would probably split. Oh well, I've had my exercise for today, and a great meal (salmon with stir-fry and spicy noodles... mmm). Now I'm getting off 3FC and on my study books because I have this big & important test tomorrow, bah.

JessieCat 11-24-2008 06:09 PM

Oranges---- WE ROCK!!!:carrot::carrot::carrot:
If we keep this up, we will surely win. I just went and saw mostly everyone's weight loss and we have the most (AND WE ONLY HAVE 4 PEOPLE!!!!)

I am seriously so proud of us!!! I can't believe how well we all did!
Elwing- I laughed when i read you said the instructor's face would split!!
Jmb- 1 slip up won't spoil the week and you didn't even slip up that bad. I have been there and I hate wasting calories on food that is sooo not worth it. I have done it more times than I care to remember! IF you work hard this week, I think you will have another loss!
Anti- Keep up that motivation!

I will not be having a 3 lb loss this week.. not with Thanksgiving! I won't be able to work out 6 times this week either!:( I am motivated to make good choices for turkey day. IF we can keep up such amazing losses, we will own this challenge!!!

JessieCat 11-24-2008 06:38 PM

Ok so we don't have the most but I think for 4 people, we have by far the most!!!! I am so thrilled. I am very nervous for thanksgiving.. but I feel different about it this year. I have this love/hate relationship with food. It controsl me for some reason. I dont know why I let it control me. I am determined to make this thanksgiving different! I don't need to eat all the goodies! There will be many more thanksgivings and sweets and treats in the future. Oh well... :p:dizzy:

JessieCat 11-24-2008 06:54 PM

Ok i get a signature now!!!! I saved it and previewed it and like the way it looked, but it hasn't appeared on my old posts!i am trying it out now!!!

spikedpunch 11-24-2008 11:47 PM

sorry... i've had a horrible week. :( It's been insanely busy with work and school. just popping in to say that I only lost a pound this week: I'm at 179. Hopefully now that all my projects are finished for the semester i'll be able to participate more.

Elwing 11-25-2008 01:56 AM

Thanks for posting! I'll edit the post in the central thread in a few hours.

vdaybaby 11-25-2008 03:37 AM

I just wanted to say congratulations guys! Great win!

Anti222 11-25-2008 03:42 AM

Oh WOW! We've all done SO well this week ladies! Well done!!! Looks like we're #1 on Jelbb's chart at the moment! :carrot: I'll do my best to keep OP and have an even bigger loss next week once TOM's out the way :dizzy:

I've just finished breakfast of porridge and a fat-free yogurt and for lunch I'm having a tomato and cucumber roll, watermelon, a banana and 2 satsumas. Tonight I think I might have low-fat roasted vegetable pasta with some kind of tomato based sauce.

My Mum gave me a great cook book the other day called Fitness Food so I'll have to try out some recipes in there. It tells you how many calories are in each portion too, which makes things so much easier :) The chilli squid with asian salad sounds too good to pass on :D

Well, time for work! Hope you all have a great day and well done again everyone!

Elwing 11-25-2008 04:21 AM

I have done my test and it was much much easier than I expected. But I have another test thingy this afternoon (have to do an exam for the physical examinations). So on with learning for that.

Jelbb already made her graphs and stuff. So SpikedPunch, I think you can just keep participating and weigh in again next week, if that's all right with you?

Congratulations every one! We did very well last week. Up to another week like that!

jmb1981 11-25-2008 06:16 AM

congrats team! i am so proud of us!

i tried posting last night. my daughter was sitting on my lap. i had it all typed out, she started acting two (throwing a fit), threw her sippy. it landed on the keyboard and completely erased my post. so i got her ready for bed and rocked her. then i went to bed.

yesterday ended okay, didn't eat anything else that wasn't a good choice. for dinner i made chicken tacos. i had one. didn't exercise at all though. i had to leave early yesterday for work and got home late due to grocery shopping. then i started putting things away and decided that would be a good time to completely clean out and reorganize my pantry. then dinner and dishes and it was 9:00. i went to bed (after watching biggest loser on tvo).

so i'm getting ready now to put leslie in and go walking. it's a new day. no cookies today, no food that i don't know how many points it is. none of that. the scale was up 1.5lbs this morning! i know i haven't gained 1.5lbs, it's tom, it's water weight, it's not because i gained 1.5lbs in 24 hours, but it is a motivation to get completely back on track!

have a great day! we are in week 2!!

spikedpunch 11-25-2008 08:26 AM

I kinda figured I might've missed the weigh in deadline. I'm definitely still interested in participating, as long as you guys don't wanna kick me out. :-P

JessieCat 11-25-2008 08:55 AM

Sure spikedpunch, we were wondering if you would be around!
I got on the scale this morning and am up .2 lb!!! ugh! Which makes no sense b/c I really restricted my calories yesterday in preparation for thanksgiving and had a great workout (tae bo and 30DS Level 1, day 4). I am hoping it is due to TOM???? Very discouraging!:(
I am so proud of us!
Jmb- I give you credit for working out that late. I would just say forget it!
Elwing- good luck on your test!
Anti- sounds like you have a nice menu planned.

I want to get the heck out of here! I want to go home so bad. I hate being at school right now. It sucks! 2 more days to go! I am not driving home for the holiday until early thur morning. I am debating if I can get in a 30DS before my drive home on thur?
I did day 5 of 30DS and treadmill this morning. I really hope i have a loss this week!:?:

Elwing 11-25-2008 09:43 AM

SpikedPunch - No no, we don't want to kick you out at all! (At least, I don't :D). The more people the merrier so just hop back on.

Jmb - Not very nice if entire posts you just typed disappear, is it? I've had that happen a few times because of computer crashes and I never want to type it out all again. Sounds like you're right on track :) and I agree, that 1.5 lbs must be something else. You would have to eat, like, 5000 calories or so to gain that in one day.

JessieCat - You probably haven't gained any fat :) it's most likely just some water, and whatever is making its way through your digestive system at the moment has weight too. I would try not to worry about it. I hope I can make a loss this week - just as you do actually.

Tests are alll over... I very nearly spoiled one of them but the examiner turned out to be pretty lax. He even said: "Well, I think you can do it, you just were so nervous that it didn't go very well. I don't mind about that. You still have got it." Better for him, because the girl before me went way over her time, and that was why I had become so nervous in the first place. I had to do the ankle / arm index, examination of the elbow and examination of nose, mouth and throat. Oh well, probably not of much interest to you but I am so glad that it is all over. The stress kind of refuses to let go though.

I'm going to a class called Moving On Music tonight. It's pretty big around here, it's in a very large hall and there are about 200 people participating. I have done it a few times before I started losing weight but it always discouraged me because everyone was better at it than me and I just had trouble to do it (while it is not that hard of an exercise). I'm pretty curious how I'll fare now. We'll see!

jmb1981 11-25-2008 09:55 AM

today is going slow already. probably b/c i don't really have a lot to do today. hopefully things will pick up a little bit!

jessie: i edited my post to read a bit differently. i didn't exercise last night. i went to bed! i got up this morning and exercised (right after writing that post). i'm ready to get home and put 30ds in and have jillian kick my butt! i thought about throwing in the 30 minute walk/jog as well. we'll see what happens when i get home. i am definitely doing 30ds!! i believe in us. if we keep up our good work with exercise and eating healthy, the scale will be nice to us! how far is your drive? when i went to college i was 2 hours from home. far enough that it was a decent drive, but close enough that i could go home whenever i wanted or needed.

spikedpunch: we aren't kicking anybody out! come on back and get comfy, we've got 3 more weeks!

elwing: i bet it feels good to not have anymore tests! what do you do at the moving on music class? is it dance?

well, let's keep up the great work this week ladies! can't believe it is tuesday! only one more day of work thsi week!!! :) :) (i'm very excited abou that!) i know we have it in us to continue losing (even with thanksgiving approaching for some of us)!

Elwing 11-25-2008 10:09 AM

In Dutch, MOM is BOM which means "bomb". It is not really dance. It is more exercises for specific muscle groups like the ones Jillian does, but slightly easier ones at that. The music is just to make sure you all do it at the same time and to make it less of a chore. It takes an hour. We have a great sports programme for students around here; you pay $35 or so every year, and every night there are many different classes you can take for free if you are subscribed in this way. Spinning, bodypump, Moving On Music, swimming, aerobics, aquarobics... you name it, you can do it. They have a full programm every day from 4 in the afternoon till 10 in the evening, with overlapping classes too. They also have a fitness room (but I believe you have to pay an additional fee to use that, and fitness doesn't really appeal to me anyway).

Yeah, let's keep up the good work! I have finally mustered the courage to really make couscous this night. I'll let you know how it turned out.

Anti222 11-25-2008 01:59 PM

Evening everyone! Wow, that was a lot of posts to catch up on after work :)

spikedpunch: Welcome back to the team! Glad to have you here again :D

Elwing: The sports programme you have there sounds brilliant! Be great if we had something like that round here but those classes are usually pretty expensive unless you become a membre of the centre, which is usually about £60 a month :( Good thing the 30DS comes on DVD :)

JessieCat: Don't worry about that .2lbs :) I'm sure it's water weight or something, the same thing happens to me around TOM so I refuse to weigh myself until the following week. Don't like seeing the scale go up too often ;)

jmb1981: Lucky you only having one more day of work this week :) I have to go to a client's on Thursday and Friday this week, which means 4 hours driving a day and then I have to go visit my fiancés parents Friday night which is another 2.5 hours on top of that

Well, I stuck to my meal plan today and only ate the things I said I would...apart from the roasted vegetable pasta...it turned into garlic and herb pasta instead :D I'm full up and ready for bed now but it's only 7pm so I'll have to find something to fill the time. Too full to exercise but I did some earlier so I'll forgive myself this time ;)

Emoticons FTW! :carrot:

Elwing 11-25-2008 02:12 PM

That was one butt-kicking workout! I thought it would be easier now that I have some condition but man it was hard. I have no idea how I came through it before exercising. I remember that I went to the toilet 5 times back then though :D maybe that was how I did it. I partly went there tonight to avoid Jillians killer plank position exercises. It was kind of a shame that this workout had 10 minutes of plank thingies too!

But, I have a new goal in my exercise. There were all those inny minny super skinny girls prancing around in their size XS sports outfits. I warn you, girls. I will keep going to that workout until I can do it as easily as you, looking like you're dancing. Brace yourselves, for I am coming and I will not stop.

Oh, and no couscous. Fritatta. Didn't feel like couscous much :)

JessieCat 11-25-2008 05:45 PM

Elwing- I love that attitude! And that is so cool you can do lots of fun classes for a cheap price.
Anti- Good job on keeping with your meal plan.
Jmb- I love the 30DS. Sometimes I don't want to do it, but afterwards I just feel amazing I can't explain it.

I really hope those .2 lb are just due to TOM. I am in a foul mood and I want chocolate! I almost aive into eating crappy today but I didn't! yay! I just ate an oats and chocolate fiber one bar (that took care of the chocolate craving!)
I feel kind of bloated and my face is more broken out than usual. But seriously my TOM is majorly messed up the past few months! I had it for over 2 weeks, but it was never really heavy like usual.. and then it basically went away for just a few days and then it is back, but it is not heavy again either. TMI???

I used to be on the pill but I really don't like the idea of those hormones, plus I hated getting my period every 4 weeks. Not sure.. sorry for the rambling. I just hate when TOM messes with the scale.

i am feeling so good right now! all sorts of hot and sweaty! just got done walking 2 intense miles with leslie and then did 30ds right after! i feel so energized! i wasn't sure that i would make it through both, but i did! i love this feeling!

elwing: i wish they had something like that around here! sounds like fun! love what you said about the "inny minny super skinny girls prancing around in their size XS sports outfits"! i used to take a cardio-step class that was great! i don't have my y membership anymore and we can't really afford the monthly payment right now, but when we can i am going back! sounds like you have a great affordable gym to utilize!

anti: nice job on sticking to what you said you were going to do today! i need to try to do a bit better than i have been. there have been temptations everywhere the last couple days and for some reason i have been giving in! although not too bad, it's still not good!

jessie: i'm feeling you on the increase on the scale today! i'm hoping mine is water and preparing for tom! my tom has been crazy since july when i lost a baby. here, then gone for a few weeks, then back for longer than usual, then gone for a week! just all over the board! hopefully it will get back to normal soon! it's getting better, but it's still not what it was. oh the things we go through as women!

well, it's time to get my stinky self to the shower!

Good morning! Well, not much has changed since last night...I've had the same breakfast as I had yeaterday and I'm having the same lunch. Dinner will have to be a bit lighter than last night's though. I want to get an early night because I have to get up super early tomorrow to go to a clients. :( Early mornings really don't agree with me  Still, soon be the weekend!

Bit weird, my ear just started ringing and felt blocked. The ringing's stopped now but it still feels blocked. Hope it goes away soon, it's a bit annoying.

Ah well, have a great day! :D

morning all! guess what?! that 1.5lbs i "gained" from monday to tuesday, it was gone today! guess i "lost" 1.5lbs yesterday! it was nice to see the number back where it should have been! the day is starting out nicely. my alarm clock wasn't on, but i woke up about 5 minutes after it should have, so i still got to do my morning exercise. i did 2 miles with leslie then did some crunches (normal and oblique), leg lifts, and some of jillian's moves. i will do 30ds tonight (probably with a little more leslie too). anyhow, just wanted to say good morning! it's almost thanksgiving!! oh, reminds me, found out last that we have 3 thanksgiving dinners to go to on 3 different days! talk about being faced with temptation! the first is at my mom's house tomorrow, the second on saturday with hubby's family (knew about both of those), but last night i get a message from hubby's grandma saying she is having the family over on sunday for thanksgiving!! ahhhhh!!! (when i say hubby's family i mean his brother and his family and his parents, that is why we have to eat with his family and grandma) i will get through, i will lose while doing it, i will exercise morning and night, i WILL post a loss on monday!!!!!

Elwing 11-26-2008 07:11 AM

Good morning all!

Jmb: Wow, your exercise is going very well! We don't really have Thanksgiving around here but Christmas is probably just as bad. I'm glad that my parents are kind of anti-consumerism and usually prepare a simple (but delicious) meal. You're very determined, you can do it!

Anti: hope your ear gets better soon. If it does not maybe you have some earwax in it, a doctor can get it out easily.

I decided to go out yesterday night. It was actually kind of fun... but I had some beer and also some punch. Still, I had no more than 1700 calories, which should be okay. And I danced my *** off for 2.5 hours (plus 1 hour fitness class earlier during the day). Also, there is this guy that I really like and we danced together for almost the entire evening, hugged a lot, etc. I really feel that we could possibly get together. But he is kind of shy and we have been friends for a long time. I have made up my mind that I will tell him that I like him on the next possible occasion. He can do with it whatever he wants, but at least it will be clear what I think of the situation... I have never done something like this before so I'm quite nervous about it. What do you all think? Is this a good idea?

Edit: Also, I'm seriously wondering if there is something wrong with my scale. I weighed in at 66 this morning. 66! that is 146 lbs... which would mean I had lost another lb. For the record, this was after breakfast (including bread, a huge cup of tea and a grapefruit). Maybe it's alcohol dehydration?

elwing- I doubt something is wrong with your scale all of a sudden! Take that loss and run with it! And keep us posted on the boy. Oh I remember the days of liking a boy and the newness of everything!
Jmb- so glad that the scale was nicer to you today! And for the 3 thanksgivings, just take it one day at a time. And you def seem determined enough to not let it get to you too much! I like your attitude!!!
Anti- hope your ear feels better.

So I went on the scale today and lost the .2 lb from yesterday, so that means a maintain for 2 days but seriously it should be a loss. I have been eating great and working out. Sigh. I did tae bo and 30DS today.. my heart wasn't really in the tae bo but at least I did it!

I may leave for home tonight instead!!! That would make me soo happy! So I just talked to my bro and my SIL and niece are sick, like stomach flu sick so if I get it over the break, I will cry! I really hope they get better soon, but it may just be better they didnt come home for the holiday... IDK... ugh and I am so susceptible to getting sick too!:(
