Hi everyone...
Well, had an awesome time at the party last night and now I have the hangover from **** :stars: ...don't remember much about the latter part of last night but it was a lot of fun. I'm going back to bed now... :faint: |
party went well! they had the appetizers when we got there. i had one cheese cube, two pieces of shrimp, two YUMMY meatballs, one small egg roll, one not so great fried cheese stick (not a great choice health wise and it didn't taste good either), and two pieces of celery. compared to what i would have normally done, that is great. in the past i would have ate a lot more cheese, more meatballs, more shrimp, well, more of everything! hubby asked what i wanted from the bar (they always have an open bar) and i said water. that's all i drank all night. salad and rolls made their way to our table. i had some salad, not a lot b/c it was already drenched in dressing (pretty sure it wouldn't have been low fat or fat free either). skipped the rolls for the time being (another thing that wouldn't have been done in the past). for dinner i had one small piece of roast beef (maybe about 3" long), a half a piece of lasagna, one bit of egg plant parmesan (only b/c i was full, it was the last thing i took a bite of and it was the best thing next to the meatballs, but i couldn't eat more than one bite), green beans, mixed veggies (beans, brocolli, cauliflower, some other stuff), and only one roll. drank lots of water! dessert was cakes and cookies and fruit. i ate pineapple and strawberries. i tried a piece of a chocolate chip cookie, but it was not very good. writing it out sounds like i ate a lot, but it really wasn't, not compared to what i normally would have done (i skipped the mashed potatoes, cheesy potatoes, manacotti, pork, chicken, white rice pilaf, and some other sides). so, party was a success!
as of this morning i am down 2lbs for the week. scale was 290. yesterday morning it was 289, which looked really nice! i'm on the verge of the 280's and know that i will be there this week! i'm not looking back either, once i'm there, i'm not coming back to the 290's EVER again!!! anti: sounds like you had a good time at the party! hope your hangover subsides! jessie: don't worry about it too much! don't hit the chocolate! i know there for a couple of weeks even though i was staying on plan for the majority of the time and exercising, the scale wasn't moving. it's frustrating! very frustrating! sometimes it's just our bodies needing time to catch up with what we are doing. hang in there girl! elwing: your celebration sounds like a lot of fun! how did it go? |
So last night was possibly the worst night of my life. I used nair and had a horrible, horrible reaction to it. I didn't fall asleep until around 5am because my legs alternated between feeling like they were being stuck in a fire and having someone shoving glass into them. I've never had anything hurt so bad before.
But today was a good day. My cold is almost completely gone (finally), and I had a really awesome date today. (Not the same guy as last week. :P). So hopefully things are starting to turn around with my love life. As far as weighing in, unfortunately I didn't lose anything. I'm really glad I didn't gain though, since I couldn't do any exercise at all. Now I've gotta get going really hardcore to try drop some weight by christmas. |
spikedpunch- I am so sorry about the Nair.. but I am glad that your cold is all better. And a maintain is good news! Always better than a loss!
Jmb- The party sounds like a success! I am so proud of you for making the right choices.. that is def a huge success. It is sooo hard to stay OP at a party! Yay! And awesome job on the loss! Anti- I hope your hangover feels better. I haaate that feeling! Well I went on the scale today and am down from yesterday which put me in a great mood!:p But also confused me b/c although I worked out yesterday, my calories were def up from usual. I will take it though! I did tae-bo and 30DS level 1, day 10.. tomorrow is level 2! I am sooo nervous! (Even more nervous than my WI!) I am hoping to be down a lb... we will see! (Fingers crossed!);) |
Well, I'm really sorry to have to report that Saturday night and Sunday took their toll on me and that lovely 2 lbs I lost has unfortunately changed to 1lb :( Could have been worse I suppose but the good thing is that I have no plans to go out again before Christmas so I can now work really hard to lose that pound again and a whole load more with it! Sorry ladies!!!
Edit: Argh! I forgot about my works Christmas do next week! I ordered the healthiest stuff on the menu and some of the stuff I ordered I don't even like so won't be eating everything :) (It was either turkey, fish, beef or some spinach and goat cheese thing. I hate goat cheese, fish, beef and turkey so I went for the turkey and I'll just leave it on the plate along with that weird sausage wrapped in bacon thing. Ugh.). |
Well unfortunately I have a maintain this week! No loss to report! Which is very annoying b/c I ate well yesterday and worked out. I wonder if I need to up my calories?? B/c I am actually up from yesterday a few ounces, but that makes nooo sense seeing as how I ate exactly the number of points I should be eating and worked out to boot! Frustrating!!!!!!!! I woke up too late to do 30DS.. plus I am a little sore (I am using every excuse I guess!) I think I will just do the treadmill today... not really in the mood for the shred after my diasappointing WI.:?:

I'll have to report a maintain... 144.5 lbs again. But, I WILL lose next week! My goal dress is still a bit too tight for christmas :)

I woke up with a bit of a fuzzy throat this morning and throughout the day it's progressed into a horrible cold :cry: My throat hurts, I have a headache, my nose is blocked, I have a temperature and I'm really tired :yawn: I have to spend the next 2 days at a clients so when I get home tonight I'm going to bed and staying there until the morning with painkillers, decongestants and a big box of tissues :(
Anyway, well done for maintaining ladies! A maintain's definitely better than a gain so stay positive and look forward to the week ahead :D This evil cold from the dampest, darkest reaches of the disease-ridden underworld will probably take away my appetite and make me lose a load of weight by next week and will then be secretly mocking me the following week as I start eating normally again and gain the weight back :stress: |
sorry i'm posting so late! our internet was down at work today and i just got home. i am down 2lbs this week! well, this is short, but hubby and i are off to dinner. my mom wanted to keep our daughter tonight so we are taking advantage and going to have a date!

Our thread has been pretty quiet! How are we all doing?
I am inviting you all to give me a honest :kickbutt:. Exercising I have been doing like before. I even wrote the reminder on my hands as large as I could in permanent marker this afternoon, to strengthen my will to go. It did work :D. But I've been slacking on the food. Going for seconds, and chocolate is my utter downfall. Yesterday eve I ate 3 Oreo's, I was over at a friend (the one from all the trouble) and I couldn't bring myself to say no to them. And this night I ate 300 cals worth of chocolate! I won't gain but I certainly won't lose either this way. And I need only 1-2 lb down to get to my goal! Kick me, ladies. I know I can do this! |
Elwing- I know how hard it is to stay motivated to eat well esp if you are not really losing. We have only 5 days left of the challenge. Give it all you got for yourself and for the rest of the oranges! Somedays you just don't feel like it.. I know.. it is very strange!
Jmb- sounds like a fun date! Anti- I hope you feel better! Well I am feeling very disappointed that I have only lost 3 lbs in this challenge and haven't lost anything in the past 2 weeks. I don't know if I am at a plateau or if I gained some muscle (30DS maybe?). So I ate a lot of calories yesterday to try to kick up my metabolism. .. not sure if it will work. I worked out this morning and am trying to eat well today. I am just really disappointed.:?: |
Sorry I haven't been around for a couple of days; I've just been feeling so unwell :( Had to take yesterday off work and I can't decide whether to go in today or not. I'm up, dressed and ready to go in but I still have a high temperature, I feel sick, my throat still hurts, my nose is still blocked and I have a stomach ache. I'm sitting here sweating as a write this lol I feel guilty for not going in to work though just for the sake of a stupid cold. Ah well, never mind.
Hope you're all having a good week :) I noticed there's a new BL challenge up on the boards so I signed up for that one too. I've really enjoyed this one and having one start in the New Year would help me keep on track and avoid stuffing myself silly while I'm off work :D |
good morning all! it's early for me, i'm usually in bed for another hour! i had to get up early today if i wanted to do all of my exercise b/c today is a late day at work. haven't had much time to write lately, my husband is out of town this week so i am playing the role of single parent. keeps me busy!
anti: hope you kick this in the butt and feel better soon! jessie: don't be disappointed! you've LOST 3lbs! be proud of that! elwing: same thing for me lately! i went 3 days with no 30ds, just couldn't do it! one day i did absolutely nothing, the other two i did my walking. eating has been harder to control (thanks to af). been craving things. some i manage to avoid, some i give into. we'll get through it! well, time to exercise, i've drank my water to hydrate my muscles. i'm going to do 30ds and then 2-3 miles with leslie. probably won't be on anymore until tomorrow. it's a busy day at work! on top of that we have our christmas party for our families tonight from 6-8 so i won't get home until probably 9/9:30! |
Still no loss... I have been watching my eating better. I think my motivation is going up again. I WANT to hit those 65 kg before christmas. Also, I have TOM, so I hope weight will go down after that.
Anti: I hope you get better soon! JMB: That sounds crazy busy indeed. Really good that you still can find time to exercise! |

I haven't done 30DS since sunday!!! I am really going to try to do it tomorrow.. i start level 2! I just can't get up early enough to fit it in along with my usual routine of either the treadmill or tae bo. Well I went on the scale again today and am actually up a lb!!!!!!!:mad: WTF????? I have been more OP than ever and am soo confused! I think I may be losing inches.. my pants are def getting looser so that is enough to keep me going. I am soo disappointed. I have never had a plateau like this and I can't stand it. I dont' know how ppl stay motivated!! I feel like I could have eaten all the junk i wanted to gain that pound. :?: anti- you sound really sick.. I hope you didnt' go into work. You should not work when you have a fever! Jmb- i'm glad you are so motivated! Elwing- hang in there! I am having problems losing too! |
Morning everyone!
I didn't go to work yesterday, made it as far as the train station and turned around again. It was a good decision, I'm feeling a lot better now :) I have let my eating go way off for the past few days though :( I think I'll be lucky to report a maintain on Monday. I'll have to really pull myself together now and get back OP before I fall into that nasty void again of not caring :( I can do it though! jmb1981: I hope you enjoyed your Christmas party! Elwing: Try not to feel too bad about not losing, sometimes it happens and TOM will certainly have something to do with it. JessieCat: Don't worry about gaining a pound, it might just be a natural fluctuation due to water or something and your clothes are feeling looser so that's brilliant :D Good luck with level 2 of the 30DS too! You're braver than I am :lol: |
I put some more effort in it in the last few days - and guess what? I'M AT GOAL WEIGHT! *dances in underwear* Thank you all for your support, thank Jillian for her workouts and everyone else who has supported and motivated me. I'm so happy! I'll make a thread in the main section with pics as soon as I have them.

Hi guys!
I hope you don't mind that I'm posting my final weight Sunday night instead of Monday morning. It's just that I have a ridiculously early start tomorrow as I'm off to a client's again and I won't have access to the Internet again until Tuesday evening. I won't have time to come on here before I go tomorrow either :( Anyway, unfortunately I have to report a maintain this week. I'm not really surprised, I kind of ate whatever I felt like when I had my cold and didn't do any exercise during it. I'm glad I didn't gain anything though :) Well, now that this challenge is over I'd just like to say a huge THANK YOU!!! to you all for being so fantastic and supportive every week! I've really enjoyed this challenge and I hope there are more to come :) :bravo: ladies and keep up the good work! :grouphug: |

I am 142! 2.5 lb loss this week! You were a great team... sadly I won't see you back for another challenge, I'm at my goal weight now and I won't burden any teams with members that will not lose.

I have a maintain! Elwing that is soo great! Thanks guys for all the support. I only lost 3 lbs but w/o this challenge, it probably would have been a gain of 3 lbs! So that is better than nothing! Thanks again and I look forward to the next challenge!
