  • ahhh I was doing so good!

I did 65 mins of exercise on Wednesday and Thursday, stayed within 1200-1400 cals/day.. up until last night.

My confession: I ate taco bell... I ate a whole nachos bell grande. After the nachos I went ahead and had dessert (a lot).

What should I do for damage control?

If the team wants I can do some extra gym time to help with our score.

Let me know, I'll be so disappointed if I didn't lose anything for the week.

k, girls TTYS! I'm doing some yard work today (hey! anything helps )
  • Got my exercise in!
Well, did Jillians 30 day shred, level one, for the second day in a row....i can certainly feel it...hoping to lose some inches and i am really gonna try to stick with it for the 30 days and see what happens...People really seem to like and and I have heard that they get results..Jillian says lose up to 20 lbs in 30 days..i dont believe that but i know it will help with inches lost and some weight lost..you can really feel it after you are done, even though its only 20 mins! I like it!

Well, since i did not just want to do 20 mins of exercise i added in Bob's Biggest Loser Cardio Max right after the Shred...also a very good workout, though i find Jillians more challenging, this one certainly gets the heart rate up and gives you some strength training..

Still calorie counting, hoping to pull at least a pound for the tem this week!
Get wait to get signature option to be cool like all of you!

Keep up the good work, i know its so hard but think of how much nicer it will feel to be skinny than the instant and not long lasting gratification you get from eating a grande Nachos! We all fall off everyonce in a while...just add in some exercise to balance it off and get back into the swing of things...I too am an emotional eater..just go look at yourself in the mirror before you eat...then mayeb if you dont like what you see you may change your mind....All of this i really should follow myself...Im tryin!

I think we only want you to not beat yourself over it! everyone makes mistakes! accept them and learn from them .. WE ALL HAVE HAD THOSE DAYS! haha
  • I did a 35 minute run 2.4 miles and im about to do day 2 of level 3 my calories are very on track today , im going to have fish and broccoli tonight! yum!
  • fish and broccoli sounds really really good >->

I think I might have to steal your dinner idea!
  • Amanda, I want to start 30DS also! Maybe I'll start it now so that we can do it together for the rest of this challenge!
  • *makes a 5-year old face* Eww, fish?
I don't eat anything that lived in water. How childish am I, eh?

Bekko honey, it happens. Don't worry about it. I mean... DROP AND GIVE ME TWENTY!!!!

It's okay, no worries, I've lost my big ol' one-pound, so we're good, we're done. We're gonna beat ALL the other teams.
  • I HATED fish and did the same face i could never even be in the same room with fish.. But after i found out it was soo good for u i toughed it up and bit and realized that Talapia doesn't smell and taste as bad lol
  • I'm at 191.2 this morning. I'm so shocked at that. That's 2.9 lbs since last Saturday, and I didn't do anything different from normal. Actually, the only thing I've done is drink two bottles of water (1200 ml) per day instead of the one I was drinking before. Maybe that's what did it. I'm happy, but at the same time I'm worried that I lost some muscle mass in there too. I lift weights though and try to eat protein at every meal so that doesn't happen. I've heard that you can only lose 2 lbs of fat at most per week. Is that true or is it just a rumor or a generalization and some people can? Muscle loss is of great concern to me.

Anyhoo, it's looking up for my weigh in for us on Monday, girls. :3 Black Team! Hoo!

P.S. I absolutely looooove fish! I think my dad would have disowned me if I ever made an ew face at fish. He's such a fisherman.
  • Yay for our weights going down...

Guess what ladies? I'M IN THE 140s!!!!! This morning I was 149.6 lbs.

My god. I haven't weighed this little since.. since.. oh, oh! Second year of university, I weighed 147 lbs. Yes, and only cos I was trying REALLY hard.

So THAT means that I've lost 2.4 lbs this week for our team, MUWAHA!
I honestly teared up just a tiny bit while standing on my scale. I've officially and without a doubt lost 14 lbs since my boyfriend was here, which is a "stone." If he doesn't notice that I've lost a stone, I will pick up a stone and beat him over the head with it.

    Wrdfrog:
Absolutely not, you can TOTALLY lose more than 2 lbs a week. It's just not necessarily completely healthy to lose a LOT more than 2 lbs a week. If you're in Onederland, and you're dropping 7 lbs a week consistently, it's probably because you're not eating, lol.
On The Biggest Loser, the contestants often lose 6-15 lbs a week, because they usually start in their 300s or 400s, and spend entire days working out.

Ahh, drinking a ton of water is such a good idea. Your body actually retains water for later use when you don't drink a lot of water, because you need it. So, when you drink a lot of water, it flushes out your system, and gets rid of the stored excess. (Is what I've understood.)
  • Oh my gosh, congrats Jelbb! I know you're really happy. That's so great! I'm sure your boyfriend will notice and I know you must be feeling great. Keep up to great work!
  • YAY!! congrats everyone!! as for me i was 137.6 this morning as well how awesome is that?!

I truly think its because i upped my water intake to 10 glasses a day sooo worth it even if i am peeing every 10 minutes haha
  • Good job Jelbb!!!! It actually bums me out that you are down so much because I had 2 bad days in a row, and so I know Monday won't be that great...but hey! There's always this weekend & next week! Congratulations!!

P.S. I'm proud of you - not bummed out...just annoyed at myself. Just wanted to be clear! =)
  • I am so upset right now. How do I get my bf to understand no means no? He keeps getting fast food for me when I say no, and it turns into arguments if I don't eat it. I do have good food at the house, and always let him know that I'll be cooking something. He doesn't have to eat the food I prep, and he knows that I actually eat it. I don't want to argue, but at the same time, I don't want the flippen (insert FF name).

Ok, I'm done with my rant.

Monday might not be so spectacular for me too. :/ I'll be curious to see how well I did. I did pick up the workouts, and started to run 3x at the gym. Oh.. and by run, I mean, walk really really fast! LoL It was kind of silly seeing me trying to jog, but it felt good trying.. I didn't realize how much of a sweat you can get just from working on the treadmills.

Is there a way to get "sore" from it? I noticed when I run outside compared to on a treadmill, I tend to get sore. I'm not sure why, am I doing something wrong on the treadmill? For right now, I have it set to 7 for the incline and I'll walk between 3.5 and 4.0 mph.

JESS and WRDFROG and JAHJAH congrats!!!!! We have some nice losses already! Making me feel motivated enough to drop and give 20!

As far as muscle loss goes, keep doing your weights!! 2#s/wk sounds like a really good number to me. I'm so used to losing slowly, that I kind of want to "sprint" right now and have a big number like 2-3 pounds loss for a week instead of a month and a half lol

Alrighty, time for me to get my grumpy dog and make her stop barking. TTYL!
  • jahjah1223 - Congrats jahjah! Great job! I know your pain at having to pee every 10 minutes though. It really sucks, and I think the secretary at my job things I have a bladder infection or something, but I hear your body gets used to it eventually so you don't have to go so much. I'm really hoping that's true. lol

Chance0421 - Hey Chance, I'm sorry you had a bad couple of days, but you never know how it will effect your body if you didn't go too overboard. Maybe Monday will still be okay. You have a great can-do attitude though!

bekko - Hey bekko. It really sucks that your BF doesn't seem to understand that you don't want it. I hope he eventually gets it for your sake! I know how frustrating it can be when people keep offering you things that you just know aren't good for you. As for your running, I've heard that running outside is much harder than running on a treadmill because of the variations in the road and the fluctuating inclines. Also you use less effort running on a treadmill for some reason. I think it's something about your leg being carried back for you. So, I can understand running outside making you more sore! Keep up the great work though! 7 incline is awesome!
