  • carcar-my plan is for me to start training for a 10 mile Broad st run in Philadelphia. I think that if i have something to look forward to that I actually have to get in shape for, then i will be more likely to stick to a training schedule.

    You guys crack me up

And Kelli- One kit Kat won't hurt. If it makes you feel better I had two mozzarella sticks and a half a pack of 100 cal M&Ms

  • Ursus- pin up=hottie I want someone to take pictures like that of me.

I have been able to say no to the candy at work for the last month but today I just couldn't do it. I picked the kitkat because it has less calories than snickers or peanut m&ms. I'm feelin kinda poopy today I think I may take a long bath go to bed early
  • uhhh, I just ate a bag of peanut m&m's...

Ursus, you hottie! that pin up pic rocks, I want to get that done, only with copius amounts of airbrushing!
  • I hear ya on the airbrushing. I have never had cellulite on my butt until this summer and now I'm like what is this crap! I'm going to have to get that lazer treatment for my entire body once i get to my goal weight
  • cellulite, I swear I had it when I was 13. My thighs and my butt are dimple city. I keep waiting for it to go away, but I'm afraid I may have to get to 0% body fat before it's gone.
  • Ok girls, I m stuck at 174 for a month now, I exercise every day doing the 30DS, eat very very healthy meaning reduced fat, no bread pasta sweets and junk food, and lots of veggies and fruits. And it seems to me that my body is stuborn
You girls are so motivating, let's help each other out to lose those stuborn pounds.
  • kelli32 pretty sure we all have that issue haha Congrats on being back to your ticker weight, lol!!

Dazzling Welcome, Dazzling! Are you drinking soda, even diet soda? Are you drinking water? It can take 6 weeks for our bodies to get used to a new routine- if exercising and eating right are new, give it a few more weeks. If you still aren't seeing any change, and you are being honest with yourself about how healthily you are eating, you may consider seeing a doctor or a homeopath to have your thyroid checked. Just a thought. I thought I was eating really healthily- then someone on here suggested I start keeping a food journal, not to change any eating habits, but to keep the journal and track how many calories I took in per day for a week. Guess what? I was eating a loooot of junk that subconsciously I tried to forget I'd eaten it! I'm holding myself much more accountable now, and I haven't seen a huge loss yet but I feel so much better already. It takes awhile... SO, basically, KEEP IT UP! You CAN do it!!

    unstoppable
10 miles!! YOU ARE MY HERO! You go girl!
  • carcar05: The only thing I drink is water, no soda no juice nothing, just plain water and about 2 liters a day !
About the journal, I write down everything I eat and I never go over my calories during the day.
The only thing I am assuming here is that I m losing fat and gaining muscles, and that's why I am not seeing any changes in the scale. I can tell that I am more tonned and that's keeps me motivated in a way.
  • Hi ladies! I'm currently docked in at about 170. I hoover between 168-171 and it's so extremlly frustrating. My main problem is that I work in a deli/bakery and I have absolutely no will power. So happy i found this forum. You gals motivate me!
  • I'd say the worst thing skin wise is the stretch marks on my arms from lifting in high school. I lifted competitively for 2 years and the stretch marks aren't the dark kind but I think they're so noticeable and I hate it :S
  • I wish i had the guts to show you my tummy. When I was pregnant with my little girl I got huge- people always asked if I was having twins - what can I say, I'm petite and I have a strong back arch- it was all out front. That is the hardest part for me losing weight is my tummy flab is stretchmarked so badly, and so stretched even still that I worry the skin will never tighten up! haha, hopefully it will.
  • did anyone have the problem of getting stretchmarks due to working out? during the summer of 04 I gained a ton of weight and didnt get one stretchmark. But last summer when I joined a gym, I suddenly got all these stretchmarks on my tummy and my arms and they're finally fading.

Oh, that picture is totally airbrushed. That's the beauty of modern photography! Here are a couple more pics from that shoot (they weren't all as slutty as the first one, haha!)

Ugh, stretch marks. Most of mine are from puberty, when my hips expanded and my boobs just exploded. I hate them. Someone needs to invent a magic stretch mark eraser.

Hope you ladies are having a good day. I was able to stay within my calorie limit yesterday and I worked out (ran 1 mile, then lifted weights), so I'm pretty happy about that.

  • Dazzling: How many calories are you eating? It's possible you might need to eat more. Sometimes our bodies go into "starvation mode" and hang on to the extra weight if we're not eating enough.

You could also try calorie cycling. I know that's worked for a lot of people trying to break through a plateau.
  • Ursus, OMG, you are a pin up girl! Those are gorgeous pics.

Stretch marks...I have them basically from head to toe...lol. When I had my son my entire belly from my crotch to my ribs stretched, it looks so gross. and my belly flab is not going away no matter how much I lose. my arms are stretch marked from about 4 inches above my elbows all the way to my boobs, even my armpits. I can not wear short sleeves and will never wear a tank top in public again. Under my clothes I am a monster.

wanna hear something weird? I weighed in at 167 this am. 171 yesterday, 167 today. my body is weird.
