There is no perfect size.

Everyone will have a size at which they feel the most healthy, the most attractive, and the most fit.

This differs from person to person and you may even find you feel just as healthy, sexy, and fit at a bigger size.

I'd be perfectly content to live at a size 12. IF my belly was actually a size 12 and fit into pants at that size without horrendous muffin top.

I am currently between a size 10-12, but I still want to lose like 40 lbs... Originally I thought being a size 6 would be nice.. but now I'm getting all curious...I mean, what would it be like to be a size 4?? That seems so crazy to me, so hard to imagine.

right now I am all different sizes. It's really hard to say. I really just want to look good in my clothes. No back flab, or love handles, or muffin top. that's the most important to me right now. Of course I weigh but I need to tone now.

sh315- are you at the toning stage? You are almost at your goal, do you feel like you ar tight, or do you think that after you get to goal you will still need lots of toning?

Doesn't this question also imply that sizes are consistent?

The difference from one store to another, for me, can be as much as three sizes. And I guess the reason is that we all have these arbitrary tag numbers in our heads. Clothing stores want to make you feel good about the number.

So the number is pretty much meaningless.

I want to be an uncommon size, how about that? I want to always look on the sale rack and find my size.

Yep, when I was hardly eating, running 4 miles a day and working my azz off at the gym, I was 112 lbs. The scale would. not. budge. When children's 12 started to fit loose, I knew it was time to let up a little bit.
It's funny because I always feel like I should be around 95 lbs. For my shape, though, I would be wearing toddler sizes!

I'm in agreement with a lot of you, it's too hard to tell what the "perfect size" is until I lose the weight.

I have never been a size 8 in my adult life. I went from kid sizes to 13/14 like overnight. When I've lost weight previously, the lowest size I wore was 9/10. I wore that at my lowest weight, 124 lbs. But then again, there's a lot of weight winners my height who weigh 105-110 and are a size two. It's strange to think I had gained 50 lbs and went from 10 to 16 but if I went 15 lbs below 124, I could be 4 sizes smaller (10 to 2).

Hmm, in conclusion, I will be over the moon to be a size 8 (especially because many stores in Korea don't carry sizes above 8).. but I'm sure when I get there, I'll be jonesing for a 6.
