One of my favorites is the one that is also in my sig (and was in my avatar before I changed it to my current pic):
"It is never too late to be what you might have been." --George Eliot.
I LOVE this quote and I find it so inspiring because I have been overweight my whole life and it always frustrates me to think of all of the experiences I've already missed out on because of my weight, especially the romantic stuff--I never dated in high school, have never known what it feels like to be pursued by a guy, never got to have the thrill of my first boyfriend, first date, first kiss, etc. So it's easy to think
Well, it's too late for all of those things, so even bother to lose weight? I can never get those years back. But really, it's NOT too late. Heck, if I work hard enough, I might even get to know what it's like to be an average-sized girl while I'm still in college, and god knows there are lots of experiences to be had there!
Hehe. But even later in life... At ANY point, it's never too late to become the person that you want to be. That's something that I definitely need to remind myself of every once in a while. I've always been a fat girl, but it's never too late for me to become an average girl (or even... a thin girl?
)!
