Awesome job ladies!

Yesterday I did great as well, I even avoided the brownies and koolaid that were handed to me at church! I'm teaching vacation bible school this week, and every night there is a sugary calorie packed snack for the kids and helpers. I'll just have to keep saying no. It's hard though, because then everyone looks at me - I'm the only person saying no... People think something is wrong with me. Agh.

Today has been good so far, I had a great smoothie with an energy boost this morning at work (i work at coldstone). I just sipped on it while I worked - lasted me like 2 hours, it was great!!! And only like 150 calories, kept me full all morning. Awesome!

keep up the good work

three cheers for us!
I did so well i am amazed!
I have a really hard time eating in the morning so i had just a banana. then for lunch i had lf chicken noodle soup with only half the whole grain baguette. then for my next "little" meal i had some mixed nuts and a stick of cheese. and for dinner i will have to have a ww frozen meal since i wont have time to cook. then after my religious meeting i will finish off the day with a bike ride on my stationary bike in the basement! WE ARE SO GONNA ROCK THIS WEEK!!!!
see you ladies tomorrow!

I've done great so far with my calories for today (Monday)! If I'm hungry later, my dessert/evening snack is going to be half of banana (ate the other half this morning with breakfast) so that I'll still be in my calorie range.

I haven't worked out yet. I'm waiting for dinner to settle before I hit the gym.

Great job to those that have stuck with their plan today!!!

garstar: Good for you for staying away from the sweets! I don't know if I'd have your willpower in the same situation. You work at Coldstone too?!! You poor thing! I'd get myself into trouble there for sure.

Edit:
I am *so* proud of myself. I wanted to go at least 30 minutes on the elliptical at the gym, and I stayed for an hour! (It helps that a cute movie was on tv, so I wanted to see the end of it.)

I was so hungry after working out that extra amount, that I let myself eat 1.5 bananas instead of just the half of one.

According to thedailyplate, i should only eat 1159 calories per day (specific little site, isn't it?)...so I went 66 calories over my limit today.

Most people on here allow themselves a little wiggle room though, so I'm allowing it for tonight since I did such a great job working out.

I want to join too! I'm new here and a day late, but I'm sure it'll be okay!

1200-1400 calories per day
8+ glasses water per day
Exercise atleast 1/2 hour every day

Doing well so far - but I need to get my exercise in... I think I'll do it right now!

Welcome, Suzy!

Ballerina - Way to kick a** on the elliptical! If you enter your exercise into Daily Plate, it will adjust your calories, allowing you to eat more. Beware, though - it tends to overestimate the amount of calories we burn when we work out. In any case, I doubt an extra banana is going to hurt, especially if you're eating less than 1200 calories to begin with.

August 11: I stayed on plan today. I hiked a "moderately strenuous" trail this morning and got a good 80 minutes of exercise. If my calculations are correct, I've eaten 1500 calories today, which is right where I want to be.

Two successful days down, five to go... We can do it!

I'll join in and stay OP for the next 6 days. Tueday-Sunday. I'm doing south beach, so my goal will be to follow phase 1 with no cheats for 6 days. Meaning 3 meals, 2 snacks, a small dessert and NO PICKING.

My second day is going well so far! I planned out my day with dailyplate.come and I still have 150 calories left which means more fruit and veg!

Everyone seems to be doing so great! This is an awesome thread!

Day 16 here, I'm staying on-plan but finding it difficult because during the last few mornings I've constantly ate, and I'm really trying to hold back. Weird, I actually found the first week easier.

Going good Ursis and Taylor, well done

I'm loving all the energy and positivity flowing through everyone in here! It's what's keeping me from that evil plate of baked goods in the office kitchen at the moment.

Yesterday was MOSTLY good. I got all my calories, didn't cheat at all, drank 10+ water, but I didn't get time to work out. Got home late from a meeting and was absolutely drained. Stayed awake a whole half hour before zonking out on the couch. Think next time this happens I'll just make sure that I don't stop moving because as soon as I sat down I was out like a light.

Today is fun to figure out though! Girl's night tonight where we're going out to dinner and I've determined what I'm going to order by looking at the Boston Pizza menu online and planned my day of meals around it. Still need to figure out where the exercise will fit in...

Look at me being all diligent and stuff! I feel so accomplished.

Scarlett - Welcome!

Bride - Way to plan ahead! Meals out tend to be my downfall.

Lauren - 16 days is an AMAZING accomplishment. It's awesome.

Day three is looking good so far. I hiked again this morning and my legs are KILLING me. I think I need to soak in a bath or something...

I'll be watching the Olympics at a friend's house tonight, so I'll have to make sure I take some on-plan snacks. She always has tasty, tempting, delightful things in her kitchen. Will check in again when I get home tonight.

Good job everyone!

ChopSuzyLL & Scarlett: Welcome to the group!

Jaclyn: great job on the workout and calories! Have fun watching the Olympics.

Taylor86: Great job planning out your meal

Lauren: Day 16! You're inspiration to our group.

preppingbride: What a smart idea to plan what you eat before you go out! Good luck on the exercise.

sweetkam: Great job on the cals! Good luck with the exercise.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Tuesday (Day 2 for me) went well.
I'm still under my calorie goal for the day, which leaves room for a post workout snack (which I'm going to go get in a minute).
I just got back from the gym. Only did 30 minutes elliptical work today, but I'm going to do some crunches and pushups while I watch tv.
Day 1 down, 5 more to go.
Today I stayed op...I had one minor slip up, I had 2 diet sodas at work. I usually guzzle the stuff, but today at least I made myself alternate a glass of soda with a glass of water. According to SBD phase one you're not allowed soda, but other than that I was great. I'm going to try really hard to not drink any tommorow or Sat.
Sweetkam - sounds like you did great today! You too, Scarlett - if you're going to "slip up," diet soda is the way to go.
I worked my butt off hiking today, but my eating went a little haywire. I technically stayed "on plan," but I didn't make the best food choices (unghgh, seduced by chocolate gelato). But, as the saying goes, tomorrow is another day, and I'll do better.
Three days down, four to go. Woohoo!
You guys are doing great!
Scarlett - diet Soda isnt going to make a huge deal - and at least it shows when it comes to slip ups you can use your common sense and go for the diet!
Ursis, Ballerina - Wish I had the motivation to work out! This week my sister in law has been constantly here so I've felt a little strange doing my workouts, since I usually have the house to myself. I'm going to make an effort go get an hour of Tai chi in today though.
