Depending on if I'm weightlifting or on the elliptical; I prefer heavier music for weightlifting and fast beats for elliptical.

Small sampling:

Dance Floor Anthem - Good Charlotte
Paralyzer - Finger Eleven
Cotton-Eyed Joe - Rednex (Techno-violin? how can you go wrong!)
Zoot Suit Riot - Cherry Poppin' Daddies
Jump Jive an' Wail - Brian Setzer

Also songs that actually are about moving and dancing work surprisingly well...provided you like the song. Otherwise you might just want to plug your ears :x

I love listening to R&B, HipHop, Bashment, Dubstep & Grime when I'm working out. As long as the music has a sick beat it will keep me going when I'm running.

I usually just walk on the treamill and and catch up on my tivo'd stuff, but if I do work out to music then I like the old school stuff. Like Madonna, New Kids on the Block, Paula Abdual...I don't know why, but it just gets me going.
