ok i CAN'T stress how important breakfast is...you have already heard that, but wanted to say it ONE MORE TIME for good measure!

But hey- watch bagels, they can be evil! Try fruit juice (100% not from concetrate) with oatmeal, or fruit (1 c. frozen or fresh) or a non-fat yogurt. These have worked great for me.

Good luck girl!

Well, I'm not getting the right amount of calories for my breakfast this morning but in addition to my daily coffee, I'm slowly forcing down a yogurt cup. Now, the question of the day, do I then add more calories to my lunch and dinner or just let it go? Is it okay to add more calories to the remaining meals when you don't eat as many as you are supposed to in the morning or does this throw things off? Thanks for all your help!!

well, I wasn't that hungry this morning so all I ate was yogurt and granola totaling 210 calories, definately too low. BUT now it's 3 hours later and I'm hungry again so I have a banana to eat for a snack.

yes you should probably add more calories to lunch than dinner. Dinner you don't have enough time to burn some if it unless you eat early or go to bed late. I always try to have a bigger lunch if I had a small breakfast or eat a more substantial snack. Like apple and PB something with a lot of protein.

Everyone has mornings where they don't feel like eating much! As long as you eat SOMETHING (preferably over 200 calories)

sorry I keep posting so much, the GF is a health nut..going to get her masters in nutrition so you would think I'd be skinny with all of the health knowlege she throws at me! haha

First off: Way to go getting in some breakfast! It's important, so be proud that you're eating something

If you're eating your breakfast now... would it be possible to add a small snack in an hour or two. I'm talking like a small piece of fruit. That might help add in a few extra calories. If not, add them into your lunch or dinner or just later on. You want to make sure you're getting the right amount of calories at the end of the day.

For me, as long as my total food amount during the day adds up to my proper points it doesn't matter when I eat them. I actually tend to have a much larger dinner in proportion to my breakfast (very small) and my lunch (medium). As long as you're getting the right amount of calories, it shouldn't matter too much. But you'll probably have to play around with them so that you're putting them in the right places to keep you satisfied. And as everyones' bodies are different, a few trial and error days will have to happen.

You both are so smart! Thanks again for your help. I'd rather add on to lunch, especially on the days I've got my night classes. Sounds perfect...it's been almost two hours and I'm still eating my 8 oz yogurt...half down, half to go. Lol. I know, I'm slow but YUCK I hate breakfast. It could be my favorite thing and it'd still take this long...well, maybe if it was pizza!!!

UPDATE: Ugh. I couldn't finish it. I still have 1/3 left. Oh well. The whole thing was 140 cals so once again, I'm WAAAAY under for my breakfast.
