I got my butt back on the scale...and was surprised to see I really hadn't gained that much. And it's right before TOM, so it's possible that in reality I haven't gained at all. :-)
I know that SEEMS like its a SCALE victory...but getting BACK on the scale was a HUGE mental obstacle!
I'm wearing my belt back on the 2nd notch, instead of the 1st... I once got down to where I had to wear it on the 3rd, hoping I'll see that again soon
My "too tight" pants seem to fit perfectly all the sudden....
And today, I FEEL skinnier. I've lost only a small bit of weight so far but I can feel the difference... Maybe I'm not bloated or something from eating poorly, or maybe it's all in my head, but I like this feeling!
Hmmm -- I'd better think of an NSV because I sure haven't had many SVs lately despite working really hard compared to before!
So...one pair of work pants definitely feels looser. And I was able to do an ab exercise with the trainer that I couldn't do the first time. And I made it to a yoga class! And I didn't order a drink last night while out with my cousin!
Sadly, one of my NSVs is that a pair of pants I JUST BOUGHT is too loose now. Hardly even wore them.

I had a wonderful one. this guy that i know is really a nice guy but he doesnt give out compliments so the way he said this i took it as a compliment( If you knew him you would know his dry sense of humor). He told me that he could tell i was losing because my butt wasnt looking as big as it usually does!!! That coming from him was a compliment. then i had a couple of ladies at woek tell me they could tell i was losing. that makes me motivated
I have a two-fer
First, I was walking out of a bar the other day, it was really cold, and the car was really far. Well my sister took of running to the car and I was walking then all of the sudden I remembered I can run and took off after her. Then I passed her.
Second, my intership requires business casual. So I had to go buy dress pants and skirts, because I only had jeans and suits, I didn't have to try anything on above a 14. Before I was mostly in 14 but sometimes had to go up to 16.
I got a great complement today. I ran into a friend that I haven’t seen since the end of last semester and she said “every time I see you your getting smaller”. It made me feel better especially since I’ve been in a weight loss slump lately.
Last night my boyfriend and I had a fight. Usually I would have thought, I feel like crap, might as well eat pizza. Last night, it never even crossed my mind! I ate a normal dinner of a veggie burger on a whole wheat English muffin, 1/2 cup of brown rice, and a salad. It wasn't even a conscious decision! It never even occurred to me to try to find happiness in food. I think that was a really big breakthrough for me, and I'm really proud.
Oh and the fight is over and we're fine now.

RememberHowToSmile - That's awesome! I wish I could run, I've even had dreams about running and how I felt almost like I was flying and really free. That must have made you feel great.
girl anachronism - What a great thing! I "eat my feelings", so for you to recognize that was how you coped, and to know you weren't tempted to do that is huge!
I had a NSV today, I found a tupperware of old winter clothes, so I started going thru them. There was a pretty brown sweater there that I was for sure would be so tight I couldn't put it on, but not only did I get it on, but it fit well! I can't wait to wear it, and it felt great to not put it back in the bin until I could fit.
I found some jeans I bought last summer from Banana Republic, which were really too small even when I bought them, so I wore them a couple of times and then stuck them in the back of my closet because they were just squishing out the stomach fat too much.
So I decided to try them on, and they fit fine- a little snug, but certainly wearable and no longer skintight! YAY! The stupid things cost $140 so I am glad to actually WEAR them!
Tonight I ran 3/4 of a mile on the treadmill...the most I have ever done is 1/2 mile....normally I do 1/4 mile fast walk, 1/4 mile run...for 1.5-2 miles (granted, this is after 45 min. elliptical and 30 min. weight lifting)....but tonight it felt good and I probably could have done a full mile. Very exciting, we'll see how far I can go tomorrow night
