Default What plan are you on?

Hello everyone!

I'm just curious what plan everyone is on. I'm currently doing the Sonoma lifestyle but I also love to drink my nightly glass of wine. So I've decided to stick with the Sonoma food choices and also count calories so I can still work in a glass of wine or 2 at dinner.

I'm also on the Sonoma Diet. I'm starting wave 1 again tomorrow. You do realize that once you reach wave 2 you are encouraged to drink 1 glass of wine with dinner. It's only the first 10 days that you can't.

Yes I know. I just really miss my glass of wine with dinner. I'm truely a wine fanatic....even my kitchen is lovingly decorated in wine glasses.

So I made it 3 days before I poured just a little sip of a lovely red Merlot just so I could taste it. I ended up having 2 glasses.

Anyhow, I'm hoping if I cut my calories enough during the day then I can still have my nightly glass of wine (or two!). My diet and meal plans will still follow Sonoma.

I don't mind my diet being restricted and I love eating healthy. I just don't like not being able to enjoy my wine. I probably sound like a wino...sorry about that! Its more like a dessert for me!

camdam: I totally agree. I think the only way I made it the whole 10 days without wine was because I didn't have the money to buy it. LOL Are you a member of The Sonoma Diet online? I joined but I don't know how helpful it's going to be.

I did try the Sonoma online and it was ok. I thought it was a little pricey for what you get though. I also have the book and between this website and the book, I really didn't see the need in spending the money for the online stuff.

What really did me in for that site was probably my own fault. I was logging in nightly when I was cooking dinner. I would just set my laptop on the counter and get to cookin'. One night I couldn't log in so I had to call customer service so they could email me my recipe for dinner. Umm..yeah! About an hour later I finally got my recipe. Another 2 hours later, dinner was finally ready and my hubby had given up on me and went to bed.

I curious for those of you who count calories...do you use fitday.com or another website to count calories?

I use FitDay to track cals... I try to track my exercise there as well, although I find it difficult to remember to do it there, here, and on my ticker.

Hey Camdam: I count calories and generally try to eat 5-6 small meals per day, spaced evenly. Splitting up my calories into 6 equal portions means that I basically have a list of things I know are my target amount (about 250-300c) and then if I don't feel like having what I planned, I swap it out for something else that I know is the same amount.

I am counting calories as well. But I also eat mostly whole foods and try to eat organic as much as possible. I cook a LOT and don't eat many processed foods. I read Super Foods Rx and YOU: On a Diet and really take a lot from both those books, although I don't follow any specific plan.

I am not on any plan. I have lost weight with weight watchers so I know that it works and is a healthy plan.

I am following the same plan as purduegal - its hard to follow a strictly non-processed foods and whole foods diet in college.. but I do a pretty good job with it. I just try to stay away from the packaged foods except for brands like Kashi and I'm big on ingredients.. no HFCS obviously which pretty much cuts out 75% of food in America (I just made up that statistic haha but thats what it feels like) and if I do have something with sugar it has to be a natural sugar. No splenda or sugar substitutes here.
