Over The Holiday NSVs!
I thought I'd start this thread because I think the week of the holiday is sometimes the toughest time of the year for us dieters. So, it seems as though even the tiniest accomplishment helps us to feel better about what we're doing for ourselves.
1. I went home to visit my family for Christmas. The entire week I didn't cheat. I was surrounded by delicious holiday treats and temptations...and I didn't cheat. My mom's home cooking was smelling so delicious. Nope, I opted to cook my own food and made sure it was good for me. I was proud of me. And the best part? I didn't really feel like I was missing out on much. I'm sure my mother's home cooking was beyond amazing, but so was my healthy meal as well. So, it was win-win for me.
2. I went to the clothing store the other day to buy some more pants. I got the size I was wearing and the next size down. Only because my current size was feeling a bit big lately. And the smaller size fit. =] That made me feel better, because it helped me realize that I was doing better than I thought throughout the holiday.
Did anyone else have some good "Over-the-holiday" NSVs??
