jana, i'm forseeing a pretty boring new year's for me, too. it tends to be one of those holidays where the pressure to have fun makes for disaster so i like to take myself out of the loop, though it would have been nice to have just a few people over. Oh well. Just another night on the couch with the boyfriend and the three furry children, watching the ball drop with a bottle of champagne, i guess!!

i'm not sure how much i'm actually looking forward to tomorrow night, i think i've waited almost 7 years for my hubby to be home for new years and the only thing i have to show for tomorrow is a beer chiling in the fridge, an unfinished knit hat and gloves, havent worked out in over a month and a half and being broke again.
i'm ready for this year to be over, the first half of 2007 was fine til around late may and then the rest of this year hasnt been easy. i miss my life back home and my freinds.
i just need to get on track and find my happy place whether its sitting in a corner of my room with my knitting needles and yarn or making some jewelry(that hasnt been selling) or with my nose stuck into a book i want to read. heck maybe all three things at once again lol.

aw lissa, i'm sorry you're feeling down. i imagine that your hubby will be psyched that you even thought of him to start a knitting project, and anyway, time only goes forward so screw May, you're in January now, and you can start to move forward again.
after my venting thread earlier, i feel like i can feel your pain!!
anyway, good luck with getting some time with the knitting needles and the book,
sonja
