last week in August = 3
Sept = 11
October = 13

It'll be different for everyone ofcourse! Depending on weight, physical activity, etc... my best freind and I started together at the same weight (she was 200 and I was 199) and she did slim fast with little to no added physical activity, I just counted calories (1000-1300 during weekdays/1500-1800 on weekends) and incorporated more exercise. By the time she lost 6 lbs, I'd lost 15 lbs... and I just really added walking my dog everyday with a few visits to the gym to go on the ellipse for 20 minutes or swam some laps once or twice. That 8 - 10 miles a week really made a difference.

Here is what I have lost weekly.

10/01/07 - 238.6
10/08/07 - 233.0 -5.6 lbs
10/15/07 - 231.4 -1.6 lbs
10/22/07 - 228.4 -3.0 lbs
10/29/07 - 225.8 -2.6 lbs
11/04/07 - 224.6 -1.2 lbs

A total of 14 lbs in roughly a month. My first loss was a bigger one, but I am aiming for 5-10 lbs a month.

I started my journey September 21st - when we started a Christmas challenge at work. I started getting serious about it on October 25th. This past Friday, November 2, I was at 188.5. So I've lost #3.4 overall - but here's the actual break down:
9/21 - 191.9
9/28 - 190.1
10/5 - 189.7
10/12 - 191.8
10/19 - 193.8 Then I got serious!
10/26 - 189.2
11/2 - 188.5 (TOM started 10/29)

Now I have an aggressive goal of losing 8 pounds by Thanksgiving - so I have 2 weeks to do it! I want to lose an average of 9.5-10 pounds a month!

I lost 40 pounds in 5 months. So - 8 pounds a month-ish, if you want an average.

Here's how it really happened:
I made some serious dietary restrictions and started exercising vigorously, starting May 31. My body was not used to this, since I overate and rarely exercised at my HW (ok, I would exercise for 15-30 minutes ish maybe two or three times a week, but that was not nearly enough to counteract all that I ate!). I lost 12 pounds in the month of June.

I did all this in July, but since I had a stall in weight loss, I only lost 5 pounds.

I lost 8 pounds in August, which was an excellent weight loss month for me since that was the month I stopped being overweight!

Five pounds in September.

Seven pounds in October

And three stubborn pounds in November makes goal!

It has taken me a year and a half to get where I am now - down about 60 pounds. I would have a few weeks where I would lose 1-2 pounds a week, and other weeks where I maintained or gained. Sometimes I maintained on purpose because of health or emotional issues. Everyone is different!

I'm almost 6 months into this process and my weight loss is slowing down. But, for what its worth, my losses have been: Month 1 - 19.2, Month 2 - 10.6, Month 3 - 12.8, Month 4 - 8.6, Month 5 - 7, Month 6 - 6.4 (but there are still two weeks left of month 6)
