Thank you so much everyone.... The fires just keep getting worse and worse, and more and more. It is definitely arson, at least i asume that it is. The winds are picking up again which isn't good. :(
Other than that, i am ready to lose 30 pounds! :) |
ahhh, Good Morning all. I had a weak moment. I wanted something warm for breakfast and was sooo tired of being good. I went to Wendy's and got a sausage biscuit. I could have licked the paper! I will run a little extra for it today.
Had a great weekend. Rearrange the house big time. My son, Alcy, has moved into a "big boy" twin size bed. He will be 2 in January and is growing TOOOO fast. |
Getting up early this morning wasn’t good. I was so exhausted when I went to bed yesterday at 11:30. I hit my snooze this morning from 7:30 – 8:30. I’m hoping some of it is that it dropped down to really cold today (from the 70s yesterday to a high of like 55 today) and I could hear it raining. That combination always makes me not want to get out of bed.
Oh I almost forgot my scale (because I weight myself everyday) was at 177.5 this morning which means I am almost at my prevacation weight. HighHope: I would love to exercise in the middle of the day but I just don’t have time because I’m at school from 10 – 6 Monday – Wednesday, and Thursday I have a small break in the middle of the day but that is normally a homework time. Last year when I was about by 3:30 everyday I was so much better about exercising. Cat – Good luck on your midterms Trns – Have you been evacuated or are you not that close? I hope everything is ok. Alcy – I hate being out in the morning and having to face the fast food options (like when traveling) because there really isn’t a healthy option. One suggestion would be McDonalds Fruit and Yorgut parfait, its yummy and wont kill your waist. |
yesterday was a great day!!
i had a visitor after work and i had a wonderful time. eating was good not great but good. have a great day!! |
Remember
Yeah, that was one option, but the sausage biscuit was BETTER! lol. :carrot:I skipped my morning snack, wasn't really hungry anyway, and for lunch I ate homemade soup (CORE style!). I will pay my pentance (sp?) I know there is probobly a thread of this very topic but I wanted to ask my new friends here. Has anyone tried Alli. Some girls at work are trying it and I wanted to know if it was a fad or the real thing. |
Alcy -
There is an entire thread about whether or not it works. http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/showthread.php?t=115217 Also, there is a Alli support group here on 3FC: http://www.3fatchicks.com/forum/showthread.php?t=125489 |
Alcy- I have heard quite a few horror stories about Alli, you have to be really really careful about what you eat when you are taking it. I've been told that if you eat hardly any fat then you will have *ahem* "digestive problems" to put it in a nice way. :s.. Personally I believe in the good ol fashion diet and exercise, no pills for me!

RemeberHowToSmile - I was really close to one but we weren't evacuated. Thank goodness. The air quality seems a lot better today.

hey everyone - i was gone all weekend and had my interview yesterday! i made it to the next round so guess it went well!
on the food/dieting front... im not doing so great... having a hard time finding a balanced interaction with food. trying not to limit as much and prepared to gain a few lbs but i think in the end i will normalize and lose that plus maybe more. i just cant seem to break the limit overeat cycle. i have a paper due soon! yikes! so im going to work on that after work today. must also write thank yous... hmm.. busy busy! hi to all - sorry for not replying individ! v. hard when you start on page two :) |
Hi all,
Well today my day was ok, until dinner. I took DH to go for a much needed massage. I felt great afterwards, but of course was starving. So DH suggested we stop for subs on the way home. Technically I didn't make a bad choice... I got it made with multi-grain bread and lots of veggies... but I ate a whole foot-long. :o Whoops!! Haha. Oh well, could have been worse! I'll make up for it by exercising longer tonight. Got nothing better to do anyway!:woops: |
So I officialy turn 20 today!
Yay, I am now a true 20-something, and no longer just a poser. :carrot: Too bad it had to happen on such a stress crap week. |

Um today was ok, I went to school, skipped work (they were ok with it) to do homework, then worked on my paper. I think it turned out well. It’s hard because so many people are going on different tracks with the paper that it makes you doubt yourself. But I’m doing well in the class so I think that I’m on the right thought. I did have a kindof bad dinner. Working on the paper took longer then expected but we got subs. Not subway subs, jimmy johns. So good. But rather then getting the JJBLT (my favorite) I got a veggie sub. It was good. Also rather then getting the yummy full fat chips, I got the baked ones. So although not what I planned still a good choice I think. And I was at the high end of my calorie goal but still within range.
Alycsmom – I personally haven’t tried Alli but here is my two cents on why I haven’t tried it, first, its expensive and I think it says that it will only increase your weight loss by like 50%, so if you are losing a pound a week (remember that it is only recommended that you lose one to two pounds a week) then you are only losing 1.5 pounds a week or if you are losing 2 pounds then you would be losing 3 pounds a week. So you are paying 50 a month for losing an extra 2 - 4 pounds a week. Second, I’ve had similar “digestive problems” when I lost my gallbladder last year. It is no fun. I don’t every want to experience it again. Third, the potential vitamins deficiencies are worrisome. So that is my 2 cents for what it is worth. ReadyFreddy – I’m so glad you got a call back, mine job hunt isn’t going so well. HighHopes – the choice could have been worse, like you said at least it was the whole grain sub. Cat – HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! I wish I would have found this site when I was 20. |
Happy Bday, Cats Tongue!
I'm at work... my back hurts. The advantage of being at work however is want to eat more at home = boredom. I still did well yesterday, but I'm trying to keep my calories low since I can't be too active right now... I am in desperate need of going to the grocery store... but I can't get a lot bc of carrying the bags... WHY DO I HAVE TO HAVE BACK ISSUES!!!??? What sucks... is that it will never truly go away... I have to be careful the rest of my life and I like doing fun stuff. I like rollercoasters, skydiving, skiing, hiking, rapelling and I am supposed to avoid a lot of that ---EVEN YOGA! This blows... I thought for sure I'd be allowed to ski again this winter:(... Sorry for the explosion, but I HATE MY BACK!!! |
Thanks everyone. My birthday was... weird to say the least.
Here's what happened: I got back a midterm ( I failed so horribly I'm dropping the class...) My back pack broke I got sick (I was thinking, jeese I'm getting sick, went and played 2 games of soccer, and am now definitely sick) My hand was stepped on during soccer and my pinky is now bruised. Yeah.... Later though I was talking to my friend J over msn telling him how I was sick and how what I really wanted was a junky-sugary filled Tim Horton's hot chocolate, because that was my ultimate comfort food. I started getting all ready for school (had to find another bag to use...) and I hear this knock on our door. It was J with Tim Horton's hot chocolate for me and A (my roomie who is also ill). Isn't that just so sweet? It made my day... So anyway now I'm sick and I've been living off my sick comfort foods. And I've got two midterms (tomorrow and friday...) Ugh. But hopefully by friday I'll be feeling well enough for the little party I have planned (just some friends over for pizza and cake...). remember - sounds like you're busy. But good choice on the food there. Good job! hope2loseit - That sucks big time! Injuries are a pain and half. :( I hate it when I can't exercise. Mostly because I love a good run or bike ride...sigh. And it sucks that it's a back issue. :( I wish there was something we could do to help here... Alright enough procrastination... |
