Hi Ladies! Just wondering how much weight do you think it is reasonable to lose by Christmas? I know I won't reach my goal of 120 lbs, but I'd sure like to come close (also losing it in a safe and healthy way)
There are 11 weeks exactly until Christmas. Since a healthy loss is 1-2 pounds per week, I would shoot for an average of 1-1.5, putting you at 11-16 pounds by Christmas. I think anything more than 16 might be a setup for failure. If you pass 16, then great !! but you don't want to be disappointed. I think 11-16 is more realistic!
Also realize that the closer you get to your goal, the harder it gets to lose the weight. Your weight loss might slow down as you get closer to your goal.
i hope to lose about 10 lbs by christmas. wow. 143. that would be amazing! hopefully my parents still give me christmas money now that i'm married (i married young and poor)...cuz if not then i'm gonna have to find some other way to buy clothes that fit
i am aiming for 10 by xmas. more is gravy but i saw how frusterated i was the last two weeks with 2 lbs/week goals. its hard unless you are 100% on all the time, and im not so... im just going slow and steady.
I'll assess this tomorrow when I weigh in but if I do well and am are near my current mini-target (240lb) then I think I'll be trying for a 20lb loss by Christmas to bring me to 220lb. The reason for this is that I weigh in at my doctors monthly and she weighs in Kilos and I would so like be to under 100Kg.
... I take it as process... I'm shooting for a certain goal ... at a specific time ... but to me any loss is a good one ... ... 37lbs in 80 days ... a stretch as this year has "flown by" not saying it can't be done ... just not sure how healthy it would be ...
yeah, i think if you try for a more lofty goal, even if you don't reach it, and still make progress, you should be proud of yourself. weightloss is -not- easy. It's having a hold on yourself every moment of every day. It's knowing what choices to make and actually choosing them, rather than ignoring your "conscience".
