Default Stay-at-home Mom

Okay, any of you stay-at-home moms...I need some help. I just recently quit my job and now I'm trying the whole stay at home with my child thing. Doesn't help with weightloss at all. I need some ideas of what I can do to help me eat right and lose weight. We are talking about having another child, but I would like to lose at least 20lbs. before we start trying. My son is 2-1/2 so we can't just go running around down the road. No sidewalks Please help!

Not a SAHM, but a mom. 2.5 is old enough for a bike carrier. Also, at that age, you can carry him around on your shoulders when you go for walks. Great exercise for you, and he'll probably love it. (My 5-year old still does, although my back doesn't!)

Or, how about aerobic or yoga DVDs? He might like to dance around or "hold poses" with you.

i'm a SAHM....i'm horrible about exersizing on a daily basis til i realized i was lifting 25+ pound weight daily and a lighter 13+ pound weight almost hourly, then theres the chasing of the naked toddler race and i'm always sharing my food(great portion control is a hungry toddler asking for a bite)
i dont have much advice for you things to do but try to keep healthy food in the house and believe me being busy with a toddler and a baby makes you forget about food(not exactly healthy but i eat maybe twice a day and try not to snack unless i really have to)

SAHM myself. I find it easy to eat right but, it is difficult to stick to a workout routine. I also have a 2 1/ 2 year old. IT's hard when they are that age. I sometimes have to wait until DH gets home and sometimes I have no problem working out. Toddlers are TOUGH!!!!

I'm not a parent, but I am a nanny. Some of the stuff I do: take the kids to the park and run around with them. Go to a near-by field and chase them around. There aren't any sidewalks by the house, but there is about 2 miles away...I'll pack up the stroller and drive to it, and walk there with the kids. Go to the zoo...lots of walking! Play in the pool.

I do Carmen Electra's Fit to Strip (lol, I admitted it) while DS naps. Sometimes I even have enough time to get on the treadmill while he sleeps. It's really a matter of making it a priority. I know the laundry still has to get done but I NEED to get healthy!
